George Abbott Delighted to Extend Notts County Loan as Promotion Push Continues
It’s brilliant to see Abbott commit to us for the rest of the season. He’s been outstanding in midfield, and his attacking contribution has been top-notch. He’s got the technical ability to dictate play, but what impresses me most is his work rate and attitude. He’s always pressing, always looking for the ball, and always trying to make things happen. That kind of drive is exactly what we need in this squad. His assist for Jatta was pure quality, but he also does the little things well, like keeping possession and winning second balls. Keeping him here is a massive boost, and if he continues this form, he’ll be one of our most important players in the run-in.

Jatta to Plymouth?
I don't understand what difference it makes if fans know the figure offered in the situation with Alassana Jatta being happy. I don't suspect he's unhappy, as there are no signs of it. There were some concerns with Dan Crowley, but the situation with Jatta is different. The only thing about known bids is that it can tempt clubs to swoop in at a higher price. I am not sure an agent would be bothered by that. It's possible that Jatta is open-minded about making a move, and they want to play it down while nothing concrete has come forward. Rejecting a bid usually sees a team end their interest or re-evaluate what they offered. This could explain the annoyance about the fee being leaked, but this is football and not all "undisclosed" transfers remain unknown. It's quite well-known how much we paid, so I don't see the concern.

Dan Crowley, Microwaved Lasagnas, and the January Transfer Circus
upthepies commented on allardyces tash's blog entry in Tune in Next Week: The Ongoing Drama of Notts CountyCompletely agree about the squad needing to knuckle down for the rest of the season. Losing Crowley and dealing with injuries to key players like Ness and Robertson is frustrating, but this team has shown it can rise to the challenge. I’m thrilled Abbott is staying; his energy and work rate in midfield have been crucial. The January signings look promising, particularly Whitaker, who could bring fresh ideas in the middle. A striker would complete the puzzle, though, as we’ve been a bit short on goals at times. Maynard’s taken a lot of stick, but the Accrington win proves he’s still got the dressing room on side. Promotion is within reach if we stay focused and avoid slipping up.

‘It’s a Good Feeling Playing at Home’: Jack Hinchy on Fans’ Energy at Meadow Lane
Jack's attitude is exactly what we want to see in our young players. He knows the value of senior influence, which is massive for his development, and he’s clearly absorbing every bit of advice from Palmer and McGoldrick. His comments about the fans at Meadow Lane really stand out too, it’s good to know our energy helps the team push through tough matches.

Stuart Maynard Calls for Collective Effort as Notts County Faces Colchester United
Colchester’s defensive form is impressive, and it’s going to take a lot to break them down. Maynard’s focus on resilience and staying united shows he understands what’s needed. Injuries have hurt us, but it’s great to hear positive updates on Platt, Abbott, and Crowley. Managing minutes carefully is smart, we can’t afford further setbacks. This game is massive for getting back on track in the league. The team has shown flashes of brilliance, and with the right approach, we can create chances. Fans have been brilliant all season, and the atmosphere at Meadow Lane could give us that edge.

New Member Ranks, Achievements and Badges
The update to the member ranks and badges system is very good to see. Not only do they invigorate the current member base, but they also set an enticing standard for newcomers. By recognising efforts with ranks like legend and hall of fame, it not only honours those frequently engaged, but also inspires others to reach similar heights.

Happy Birthday Shaun Derry!
Happy Birthday, Shaun. It was ambitious when you arrived as the manager and I wish you all the best with your career. It's good to know Notts didn't dampen it.

Who is your Man of the match v Walsall?
I agree, it would be between two of the names mentioned in the voting, and I have gone for the one who delivered much of the fight to keep Notts within a slight glimmer of salvaging a draw, which is David McGoldrick.

????????Pride of Nottingham Player of the Month – November Voting!
Congratulations to him. George Abbott has put together some excellent performances during November.

FA Youth Cup 3rd Rd. Notts v Fulham
Hard luck to the youth team. A 0-4 defeat might feel disappointing for them, but no doubt they will have earned praise from many fans who have been watching them regularly. Some of them might be the future of the club, so that will be their focus now. They should know we are proud of them for just drawing an academy like Fulham's.

Junior Morias
I don't get why we never gave him a chance, even when we were blessed with the options we had. It's like how we could do with Adam Chicksen, with the injury to Jodi and the lack of options out wide. I would have thought it would be easier to allow players to leave permanently than to loan them out while still contributing to their wages. Neither, I feel, will feature for Notts again, despite feeling like Junior Morias could contribute with goals. Chicksen isn't consistent enough, but always tried.

Match Discussion: Game 18 - The Saddlers (A)
I don't have a good feeling myself, not because I don't believe Notts will play well. I just feel like Walsall might sneak a win, possibly late in the game. The fans who attend need to show the lads that we have their backs and create the right atmosphere. It will encourage them and show the right support. I am hoping to hear news of Dan Crowley, although I might be tempted to suggest we save him for Colchester if he is close to making his return.

Leicester City appoint Van Nistelrooy
Christ! What is Leicester City thinking! A lot of crap appointments are being made in football right now, it really is uninspiring and concerning. You might as well place your money on them to be relegated now.

Stuart Maynard: Notts County Must Be Ready for Tough FA Cup Challenge Against Peterborough United
The FA Cup really does bring something special, doesn’t it? Stuart Maynard's remarks about dreaming of playing a Premier League team at home capture the excitement perfectly. Peterborough will be a challenging opponent, especially with their pace, but it’s reassuring to see how focused the team is. The updates on injuries are a boost too! It's good to hear that players like Jodi Jones are making progress. Practising penalties is a smart move; you never know when that’ll come in handy. Fingers crossed we get a result and make it to the third round.

Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Posh (A)
Facing Peterborough is a great test for us to see how we stack up against a solid League One side. Their attack is strong, so our backline will have to be sharper than ever, especially in dealing with any set-pieces. We’ve shown resilience in games this season, and if we can control the midfield, we’ve got a good chance. It’ll also depend on whether we’re clinical upfront, can’t afford to waste chances against a team like this. Let’s see if we can cause an upset.

Reviving Community Engagement via Newsletters
It’s great for celebrating milestones within the community, whether it’s recognising long-term members or highlighting new faces who’ve joined. What’s the current plan for these? Are they going to be weekly or monthly? And will members have a chance to contribute content? I think this is just what we need to keep the community spirit alive and thriving. Thanks for putting the effort into this, it’s much appreciated!

Man City demolished at Home by Spurs
Manchester City have been a dominant force in the Premier League for a while now. Those who remember the old First Division know that teams have a period when they are the best, then things change. City will likely stay a top-four team, but the gap between them and other teams might become smaller.

Partick Thistle finances
Football’s financial side always feels like a minefield. Partick Thistle’s situation seems all too familiar to fans of lower-league clubs. It’s a tightrope between investing to improve and staying within budget. When clubs take risks and it doesn’t pay off, the consequences are devastating. Scottish football seems even harder due to the smaller market, but it’s a shame to see such a historic club in trouble. I can’t help but think there needs to be more oversight or help for clubs at that level. At Notts, we've narrowly escaped financial turmoil on several occasions. We understand the anxiety that comes with those precarious situations. We’re incredibly fortunate to have the Reedtz Brothers as our current owners. Their prudent financial planning and thoughtful management have kept us stable. If more clubs adopted this sensible approach, it’s likely we’d witness fewer financial crises across the football world.

Dan Leivers: "Lads Excited for FA Youth Cup Challenge Against Fulham"
What a brilliant opportunity for the Under-18s to test themselves against one of the best academy sides in the country! Fulham will be a huge challenge, but the experience of playing at Meadow Lane in front of home fans can’t be underestimated. The preparation sounds thorough, and it’s clear the lads are up for the challenge. Win or lose, they’ve already done the club proud reaching this stage. Let’s hope for a spirited performance and maybe even an upset!

"I want to play every minute"- David McGoldrick.
I respect how he always tries, even when tired and not performing well. He puts the same effort into his performances. Last season, the squad relied on him, which isn't ideal for a player like David McGoldrick. Even this season, we could have managed him better but haven't due to injuries and a lack of attacking options.

Martin Allen: Unleashed – A Must-Attend Event for Notts County Fans
This event is perfect for any football fan, especially those who followed Notts County during Martin Allen’s tenure. He’s a unique figure, fiery, passionate, and always entertaining. His post-match interviews were memorable, and he brought energy to the team during tough times. The podcast format will suit his storytelling style, and the Q&A will add a personal touch. Having it at the Big Shed is a brilliant idea; the atmosphere will be amazing. I think it will be a great event. Shame I can't make it!

Why I don't like Johnnie Jackson
He suffered several injuries that season, but he probably thought his performances would attract the attention of other clubs because of Munto. What surprises me is how Sol Campbell gets criticised for speaking out about the Munto saga, as he was wise to recognise the deception behind it all. Yet Johnnie Jackson is respected; it's not hard to settle in. While I understand it could be challenging, it’s not like many of the Geordie players we’ve had, and London isn’t that far from Nottingham.
