  1. I completely agree with Tom Reed's article, it's a cracking read that captures the spirit of our club perfectly. The way he writes about Meadow Lane and our fans is spot on, it's a place where people can truly enjoy watching football.
  2. It's great to see the positive anticipation for the upcoming match against Bromley. The team's current form is promising, and it's crucial to maintain pressure from the start. Players like Corey Whiteley and Marcus Dinanga could be key threats, but with a solid defense and midfield, we can aim for another clean sheet. It would be ideal to have Dan Crowley and Jodi Jones back, but the current squad is also showing great cohesion. Let's hope for an energetic performance and three points!
  3. I am sorry to read that @AmericanPie is not doing well. I do wish that he manages to make some form of return to health, even if it’s just enough to get by easier.
  4. I would think it would round off sooner or later, reaching the point of what we can attract. At least until the club is more successful, it’s great to see the attendances over 10,000, and it needs to continue. Even if we were in the Championship, I think the higher numbers would come more from away fans than home supporters.
  5. It wouldn’t be ideal, but with Brown, we could afford Scott time to come back if he has taken a knock. I hope it’s nothing serious and just a dead leg or something like that. He’s a good player. Sometimes you need a long run in a team after an injury to refind your form.
  6. Interesting that Bromley’s manager brought in a gamer for tactical help. Shows they are thinking outside the xbox! ????
  7. Absolutely delighted with our new goalkeeper, he’s been a fantastic addition! His performance recently was outstanding. As for our creative midfielder, his ability to link the midfield and attack has been a real highlight.
  8. I wouldn’t call them poor myself. I think they struggled and could have performed better. I think 2-0 flatters them because a third goal should have gone in, maybe even two more attempts. Kelly was very good for them in goal. We won’t always win by more than two goals, so I am happy and acknowledge the effort it took with a squad without Jones or Crowley.
  9. I mean, it doesn’t look good as to what happened. I won’t judge him for it. I think everyone can make a mistake, and I hope that’s what it is. I thought he looked good. His wiki page isn’t the most glamorous, but I guess it depends on where he has played mostly.
  10. I think the club did well to reassure fans and keep them informed. I don’t think many clubs do that, and I hope Notts continues.
  11. He has settled in well. The pre-season and early training sessions seem to have helped. He looks like a great defender and is good at recovering when needed too. I hope he continues to perform well throughout this season.
  12. I think that was always going to lead to a red card. I’m surprised the player didn’t throw himself more into the challenge. The keeper should get an award for his acting; I doubt it hurt him.
  13. It’s nice to know where ex-Notts players are. Matlock will be worth keeping an eye on. I’m surprised @Robbie hasn’t started an ex-player watch topic!
  14. It was great to see Jim O’Brien back. Though I miss him as a player, he is starting to look more like a manager now. I know, it’s normal.
  15. Jodi Jones has been exceptional so far this season. It’s a well-deserved nomination. Good luck to him!
  16. Well deserved nomination for Jodi Jones! His contributions on the pitch have been fantastic so far this season.
  17. Delighted to hear Abbott had a fantastic first game. Good things to come!
  18. David McGoldrick's performance was top-notch again. What a player!
  19. Love how Bass is so humble and focused on just playing football. Definitely a great mentality to have!
  20. Love seeing the young players stepping up. Abbott was brilliant in midfield.
  21. Sounds like George Abbott has a lot of potential. I hope he settles in quickly and contributes to our success.
  22. A fitting tribute for a true legend. Eriksson's time at Notts County may have been short, but his impact was immense. Rest in peace.
  23. David McGoldrick showed his class with those goals. Great to have him back in form!
  24. Grit and determination were the keys today. Swindon made it tough, but we showed great character to pull it off. Come on, you Pies!
  25. Dan Crowley is on fire! Can’t wait to see him play.
