  1. It’s only Monday and I’m already counting down to the weekend again. The heat is awful today. When it’s like this, all I want to do is stay in my room where it’s cool and quiet.
  2. Can’t believe this! Thought he'd be our number one for years.
  3. I trust the board will make the right choices for the club. Hopefully this also helps Martin Paterson get useful feedback that he can think about. I haven’t really made my mind up yet. I’d rather wait and see how things play out, just like I would with new signings.
  4. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. It's much appreciated. Fingers crossed the problem can be sorted without too much trouble.
  5. Hope he keeps the attacking style we’ve grown to love.
  6. I’ve not heard of them before, but if they manage to stay up in their first season, that would be a big achievement. It would help them build a stronger place in Spain’s top division. I don’t think Spanish football is as exciting as it used to be. It feels like it’s lost a bit of its spark.
  7. @Countyman, Notts did pass on Aston Villa’s message through their social media, so they did show their respects in the end. Rest in peace, Dick Edwards. He’ll be remembered fondly.
  8. If I had a billion pounds, I’d buy Notts. The first thing I’d do is bring in a proper security firm to deal with the troublemakers. I’d ban them for life. I wouldn’t mind being controversial if it helped create a better atmosphere for the loyal, sensible and committed fans. Just picture doing this with some of the worst fanbases in the country, some of them make Twitter trolls seem polite. Clearing out the bad apples would make it much easier to build the right team around the club. I wouldn’t have a problem with criticism, but if someone can’t give proper feedback, I wouldn’t hesitate to show them the door. I’d change most of the coaching staff too. I’d bring in top coaches and really push for developing local talent. Fans would get a say in key decisions. I’d also put serious money into the squad so the club could grow and reach its full potential.

  17. It's brilliant to see Jack Draper reach the semi-final. He’s really showing what he’s capable of. Let’s hope he can keep it going and make it all the way. Fingers crossed he finishes the job.
  18. Happy birthday @Fan of Big Tone, enjoy your day. It's good to see you are back.
  19. It would be better if the kit was bespoke, or at least not so plain and basic. People who say there’s not much that can be done with black and white stripes just aren’t thinking creatively.
  20. Ollie's leadership on the pitch will be a tremendous boost. Exciting times ahead for us! UP THE PIES!
  21. Will it look like this, just with the Notts badge and John Pye on the front?
  22. Early Europeans were thought to have settled in the Doggerland area. It was mentioned at school that if the area were more accessible, it could reveal more about early humans.
  23. He was highly rated in Ireland, and his return to the English league should have gone better. I don’t know why he has gone out on loan, and I can’t speculate. It might simply be that things didn’t work out.
  24. It could be a great way to promote the site within a more centralised community. I’ll check it out.
  25. I’m hopeful about Ollie Norburn joining Notts, especially as he’s known for his leadership. But, the fitness concerns are legitimate.
