  1. Depends which Notts team turn up, will we have the attacking side that look dangerous, then hopefully hold out when we collapse, or the team that generally folds in the second half for the whole game
  2. Simply not good enough, that was criminal
  3. As they say a win is a win. All that matters.
  4. Glad we hit the bar before we scored or I'd have missed the goals. Woke me up
  5. I agree a point is a point, and in general terms a good one against a very good well managed team. But it was a home game and if we harbour Hope's of promotion these are the games we need to win. We have not been bad this season, just not good enough in too many games. I would say that while we may still be in contention for promotion, we look a long way off at the moment.
  6. Inability to score poses a big problem, you can have all the possession in the world but if you can't score you are not going to win. Officials did not help, but were not the main reason. Another season in this division beckons
  7. One step forward two back. The life of a Notts fan
  8. Very frustrating, good performance until we got within sight of goal, but to be fair they set up to frustrate and defended well.
  9. That's the get out of jail free card played
  10. Not an ideal build up but that's no excuse, there will be many games where that will happen this season. Need to find a way to win these games if we have genuine promotion expectations. 3 points dropped for me
  11. Got to be happy with that
  12. Another tick in the box, no one can complain at the moment, we are winning, not perfect by any means, but winning. The good thing is there is room for improvement, we have the makings of a very good side.
  13. Very good 3 points, of course they all are but it was important to back up the Barrow result and not waste it by losing the next game. Building pressure at the top at the right time, hope it continues.
  14. Consistency is the key from now till the end of the season, something we have been lacking imo. I still think he maybe had enough time to keep us up last year, but the rot in the squad had probably already set in. I said at the start of this season it would be difficult, and it is. I will judge him on the whole season and what we achieve, which could still end up with promotion and a trophy, or just further disappointment.
  15. Think that's a bit unfair to be honest, he is managing the squad, making changes, that's his job. Everyone, including me, is quick to jump on him when we are not winning, I think it's only fair we give him some credit when he changes things and they work. Yes a lot of it is down to the players on the pitch, but they are taking instructions from the manager, all teams do. Credit where it is due. Just my opinion.
  16. The chances of catching them are slim to none. We need to win to keep play off hopes alive, though this game alone won't determine that
  17. Any win is a good win, but a big win is extra nice
  18. Yes agreed, I just think with the up an down way we are at the moment, they are a long way off, but as you say, not out of the question
  19. Playoffs look a long way off, but I always thought this would be a difficult season. The longer we are in it, the harder it will be to get out, we are seen as a scalp.
  20. Needs to change things, I'm sure he is aware what's needed, question is can he replace the players who, in truth, probably need to leave. Needs time, but have slipped badly. Thought we were heading in the right direction
