  1. Now with the funding issue I can see at least a temporary halt to the season, maybe even a premature end.
  2. I just like to see us win games, regardless of the competition. I appreciate that not many fans are interested till the later stages, but to play in a final should be every players ambition. If they don't want to win football matches why play?, I think it would be great to get to the final, if only for the revenue it would bring. I'm certain that the club will prioritize the league above all, rightly so but as an additional get away from the league and give fringe players a chance competition, I think it's great.
  3. Inability to score poses a big problem, you can have all the possession in the world but if you can't score you are not going to win. Officials did not help, but were not the main reason. Another season in this division beckons
  4. I think promotion is a must or we could be facing years at this level, or even below if things went wrong. Like another said, I am old enough, and lucky enough, to have seen Notts in the top division. Whilst I'm not expecting to ever see that again, I think we should be championship club. But that has to be earned and I can't for the life of me see it happening in my lifetime
  5. Think we need games, can't be helped though in these strange times
  6. One step forward two back. The life of a Notts fan
  7. Very frustrating, good performance until we got within sight of goal, but to be fair they set up to frustrate and defended well.
  8. That's the get out of jail free card played
  9. Not an ideal build up but that's no excuse, there will be many games where that will happen this season. Need to find a way to win these games if we have genuine promotion expectations. 3 points dropped for me
  10. We did not have a particularly good team selection against Denmark, quite how grealish was not picked to start is beyond me. I agree Southgate is too negative with his selection and tactics, and I believe Kane drops deep out of frustration and to get involved. Not sure what the answer is though, we don't really have a vast choice of top class English managers, and call me old fashioned, but I think he should be English.
  11. Very disappointing, I expect a lot of improvement. We cannot afford a poor start. It's all about a reaction now
  12. I agree it's all about the league and what happens from now. Can't get over excited at friendlies , the league is what matters, I feel promotion is a must this season, or we could be down here for a long time
  13. Football couldn't be further from my mind at the moment. In the end money talks
  14. Current badge is the best we have had imo
  15. I played Central midfield for Hull boys, which is where I was from originally, then Doncaster boys after we had moved and went on to play for South Yorkshire boys. Was on trial at Sheffield United when I had an accident at 17 which finished any playing career I may have had. This was all a long time ago when football was played for enjoyment, not for money. Today's game is not the same in my opinion, too many playing for biggest wage they can get, which club doesn't matter.
  16. Florida. Was going in April, looking increasingly unlikely.
  17. Think it's a case of wait and see, but to be honest it looks like there ain't going to be any football any time soon. A few clubs likely to be in desperate trouble with no gate receipts. I just hope for a common sense approach, but not really expecting one. What that approach would be, I honestly don't know, but the ruling body need to protect all clubs, not just the top few. Not be holding my breath though.
  18. Another tick in the box, no one can complain at the moment, we are winning, not perfect by any means, but winning. The good thing is there is room for improvement, we have the makings of a very good side.
  19. Very good 3 points, of course they all are but it was important to back up the Barrow result and not waste it by losing the next game. Building pressure at the top at the right time, hope it continues.
