  1. It would be good to progress to the next round, will it happen? I think there's more chance at Meadow Lane.
  2. I will be at the game, I am in the Pavis Stand. I don't think it will be anywhere near as easy as we'd like, Notts will have to work hard but having seen Solihull defensively they do have weaknesses. Notts and co will have to be mindful to defend bravely for 90 minutes without switching off.
  3. I agree that someone along side Kyle Wootton would help, he can't do it all by himself. If Mitchell can adapt into a more central role, he might do but I am not convinced by him at this stage. I do hope Notts clicks sooner rather than later, as you say it could be to late to really contend for promotion. I don't want to watch Notts fight again for a playoff space, if we end there fine but the club should be chasing 1st to 3rd.
  4. Go with the attention to win, don't send out a weaker team as this could come back into league games. There's nothing as good as winning games back to back, or even starting off a good run in the cup. 3-0 Notts is my prediction, Wootton, Roberts and Cameron.
  5. Delighted that Notts got the win, it sounded like it could've been a Barnet type game with how poor Yeovil played. I'm not bothered that the game ended 2-0, I would've been content with just the single goal. The clean sheet is an added bonus, I hope Ian Burchnall can keep Ruben Rodrigues in form because we are a different type of team with him on fire, as is Cal Roberts and co.
  6. Will Ian Burchnall drop the "pretty football", in favour of a more gritty approach to get the job done. Yeovil could be the turning point to get back to winning ways, or they could ruin another weekend. I think both teams are like that, as a neutral it could be a good game.
  7. Typical Notts with feeling like things might be improving, to slump but I do think winning ways will return soon. Its disappointing that we lead 2-0, in a game it sounds like a lot of luck came our way. I don't think unlucky comes into losing, it was just poor.
  8. The old saying back to basics comes to mind. Set the team up from the back to front, Patterson needs better protection and cover. The defending needs to be for 90 minutes. I can see it being a another disappointing game I hate to say it.
  9. There does appear to be something with Ruben Rodrugues , I agree with that. It could be mostly a lack of form, but he does seem to pant a lot and avoid running at least in the last two home games. His attacking play has slowed down to almost walking with a slight burst of pace. Whatever is going on, Ian Burchnall eyes and staff will need to identify it.
  10. Putting aside the display against Maidenhead, Notts have been good so far and part of this is down to having the squad settled. I wouldn't change anything, other than what has been forced. Ciaran Brennan will come in for Kyle Cameron who I think will be a big loss. I would still give Cal Roberts the start, but I do think Notts needs to rely less on his ability to make things happen at times. Allowing him some freedom could help, especially with Ruben Rodrigues not quite playing to his standard.
  11. The win is the main thing, Wealdstone made it difficult for Notts but at 3-1 it never looked likely to end any other way than a Notts win.
  12. I am hoping Kyle Wootton gets a little more support, he could do a lot more if another striker was thrown up in support. A little too much reliance on Cal Roberts and Ruben Rodrigues for my liking, yes they can win games but strikers are what finish them.
  13. Notts are in good form at the moment, but I wouldn't want to underestimate Weymouth. They are the home team which will have some advantages, Notts just has to make sure Rodgrigues, Roberts and Wootton get enough of the ball. I am hoping that a clean sheet can be completed, as it would benefit the defence and Slocombe.
  14. Disappointed to go 2-1 down to them, but the fight to get the win was good. I thought Roberts, Rodrigues and Lacey all did very well.
  15. Thank you ,to all at Notts County. From the owners, staff to the players for giving us something to be proud of.
  16. I agree that settling in eases the nerves, I think the return of fans will help Notts out during this upcoming campaign. Joel Taylor sounds up for it.
  17. Two key areas I see, having more quality in terms of goal scorers and players who can add height to the squad so that set pieces can be defended properly.
  18. Good signing, I think. He should be a top player for Notts.
  19. Difficult league to get out of if not promoted, so I understand and wish him well.
  20. I think the club wanted to distance itself from the comments made by Moss on Enzio regarding him leaving, it will be clearly football related reasons but the PR effort has to be praised. I wish Enzio all the best with his career, as I do with the other released players.
  21. A win would take off some of the mounting pressure, but its all about improving the performances right now. Notts won't go far without addressing this issue and so far, there is little signs of attacking football.
  22. The talk of signing a left-back for me wouldn't sit well, how would Dion Jelly-Evans take this? He doesn't get much chance to play on the right side due to Richard Brindley and when Damien McCrory was fit, he played second fiddle to the pair. I feel he has done a respectable job covering a position which is considered to be unnatural to him. He's a fantastic little player with the right attitude, he deserves more appreciation I agree wholeheartedly with that.
  23. I would hope that at least one of the possible signings arrived as a permanent signing, with Wes Thomas departure that throws a spanner into the works a little but the budget should be able to pay a players full time wages whilst bringing in a loan.
  24. Good win, up to 3rd now and Enzio slowly got more involved as the game progressed. His pass to assist Kyle Wootton deserves some praise, he could've easily gone it alone.
  25. Tom Walker is an exciting player, if Notts gets him involved more it could unlock the game.
