Three reasons to be cheerful at Notts County
An enjoyable read imo. I'm not the writing sort so I would have just put McLeod, McLeod, McLeod.

Will Moniz master this Notts squad?
I would agree with the points raised, but go onto to say Moniz will choose his team and encourage his players. I get the feeling, using the Bennett example, he may well be shipped out again or left out for a while now when it comes to critical points of the season. Sharpe is a young lad. He will mould to the manager immediately without concern, and looked ok when he came on yesterday. In fact he was ecstatic to get the nod and hugged Moniz for calling him back from the warm up to go on the field. The older ones, not so sure.

Mansfield defeat might be perfect wake-up call for Notts
I think it was a perfect storm for Notts or rather Mansfield. New players, new system, big crowd, derby night, first major home game etc... Plus let's not take anything away from the Stags. They were better than us.

Noisy Neighbours
A well written article and a performance to match on that day. It's a shame they messed up with the Stags game.

Oxford - Scouting Report
Let's hope we can flood their backline as you say because a win would help lift the gloom from last Friday.

Views from Across the Pond
Thanks for the great article @Canadian. Can I just say about the photo choice. It s classic. @coby cheering on with the scarf and Jake with his hand over his face thinking ' he's doing it again. I wish he'd sit down!!!'

Transfer Committee Comes Up Top Trumps
Like the article, but I honestly feel that the transfer 'panel' is really GB or RM saying to Ray "we like this one can we have him" and Ray going "go on then. I'm in a good mood!" In all seriousness the panel has got to be a good move for the club long term because we have been lumbered with players previously who have failed and failed spectacularly. This is not to say it wont happen again, but the more we do to involve other people in the decision, the more the responsibility is shared. The concern was always that RM would loose his overriding vote in the panel, but it seems that the players in are all of his type and have some background with him or the countries he has managed in. Good job Notts, all of you involved.

Anyone who thinks about 'egg custards' while passing a sample has to be deemed strange imo. Notts fan or nice guy aside, it's just weird! Get a few pints (of water) down you youth! Carry one of them posh water bottles with a filter in to make you look cool or buy an 80p Evian (other well known brands are available!) and re-fill it as we all know tories make their stash bigger by being generally tight!!! You churn these out as fast as @notts-joe churns out the pon casts. I can't keep up! Nice one mate another good read. And what's all this about fake festivals? A pop-up appeared the other night then vanished in a second?

As a way of giving @super_ram a break maybe you could invest in a microphone headset. I'm sure Notts Joe will know how to download Dragon speaking. They actually do work and are fantastic for those with difficulties typing. We brought a ΓΒ£15 headset with microphone built-in, downloaded Dragon for Ben. So far he's not used it as the thought struck me if he uses that as his crutch he'll never make progress with his wrist and finger muscles. I used it years ago when typing up teaching reports. On the whole rubbish. I tried the latest version a few months back and was amazed. After half an hour training it to your voice it was 100% accurate. It is also great to use as a replacement mouse as it will act on your commands e.g. left click Google chrome. Open bookmark etc... If Joe doesn't know where to get it give me a shout and I'll get you a copy if you want to try it.

Write about why you joined
Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk? After being involved with 'A Pie and Pint' website, I needed a new home and found PoN after realising how poor another website was. I needed a new home and found one! What is your main highlight of being a member? By far and away it has to be the PoN meet-up where we hired the executive box for the day. Great atmosphere and it was just like meeting old friends who I've not seen for a while. We are a friendly bunch. Honestly! How much have you seen PoN grow during your time? It has grown enormously since I joined. It has gone from strength to strength. I am also lucky enough to be involved with a few of the changes coming in the next few months and hopefully it will push PoN onto the next level. Bring it on! As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why? Friendship, respect and informative. The aim of a website such as this has to be keeping all fans involved. Some fans prefer forums such as this, others prefer more media based content such as the interviews or photographs, some prefer to link with the Facebook version of PoN. All in all I think the site does a damn fine job or keeping all the fans in the loop and interested in what is, at the end of the day, a shared passion for Notts County FC.

Shaun Derry: 'Proud to have managed Notts'
Well done for keeping it respectful SD. Nice to hear he still loves the club etc...rather than sounding bitter. An honest appraisal about the results being the judge as well. I would say style had a bit to do with it, as well, but fair play to him.

How does Notts move forward?
I think Derry and Co need to have instilled the basics back in the players. Defence especially. Cant see anything from mk Dons at he weekend, but Scunny is doable! As a club? Not sure. I appreciate the way the Trews have took hold of the club, but maybe the time to change is coming closer if they can find a buyer.

Adjusting to German football
Reads well. Look forward to more! Regards footy on the TV, I'm the same. Can't enjoy it unless it's Notts! Can't be doing with all the egos. God knows what would happen if the unthinkable did happen and we got to the promised land. Maybe I'd be pining for Andy White and Guy Branston to do another impromptu performance!!
