  1. We came undone from one slip at a set piece, and that’s what gets me. We were the better side and didn’t deserve to be trailing, but I’ll say this, the lads responded well after their goal.

The changes made a difference, settled things down nicely. Young Paterson seems to be picking things up fast, he’s starting to see what this lot can do. A point to begin with isn’t bad at all, but we’ve got to make sure Meadow Lane works in our favour next week.

  2. Eriksson’s time at Notts County was brief but incredibly impactful. His arrival brought renewed hope and excitement to the club, attracting global attention. Despite financial troubles and the collapse of promises from the consortium, Eriksson's leadership saw Notts promoted to League One. His selfless decision to waive his payoff to facilitate a takeover was an act of genuine care and respect for the club. Under his stewardship, the Magpies experienced a period of transformation and ambition. Eriksson's legacy at Meadow Lane is one of inspiration, hope, and enduring spirit, making his impact on the club a cherished memory for fans.

  3. Jeff Astle was a brilliant player. I was saddened when he left Notts, but I always knew he would win the hearts of another club. His heading and skill with his feet made him a joy to watch.

It’s very sad what he experienced later in life.

  4. I'm chuffed to bits about us getting Curtis Edwards on board. The lad's got a solid history in the Swedish and Norwegian leagues, with more than 150 top-tier games under his belt. That's no small feat, it tells you he's got the chops and he's steady as a rock.

He's had a taste of the big time in the Europa League too, even had a go against Arsenal. Shows he can hold his own with the best of them. It's a real feather in our cap, attracting players with that kind of experience.

I reckon his technical know-how and his ability to mix it up will give our midfield a proper boost. Hats off to the folks upstairs for pulling off this signing. I'm all agog to see Curtis do his thing for Notts County.

  5. Addressing the team's defensive struggles is undoubtedly critical to their long term success. What stands out most to me is the holistic approach he's embracing here - the use of video analysis, specific drills mimicking match scenarios, and the constant reinforcement required to instil that defensive mindset. It shows a depth of understanding and a commitment to turning things around that is very encouraging.

  6. It's devastating when your own head coach admits we played like we were 'terrified to be on the pitch.' It’s a clear indicator of the work that needs to be done within the team. The second half certainly showed some spirit, but the damage had already been done. Williams' critique might seem harsh, but it's completely necessary for the boys to realise the urgency and step up their game.

  7. The fan forum has indeed played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the club and its supporters. It’s a platform that fosters transparency and understanding, especially during challenging times. However, it’s equally important to maintain this dialogue during periods of success. After all, the bond between a club and its fans isn’t just for the tough times, it’s for the good times too. Since Alan Hardy’s departure, we’ve been fortunate to experience more highs than lows, but let’s not forget the value of communication in maintaining this positive momentum.

  8. The vibrant tone of this article paints a vivid picture of @super_ram. From his early football memories, shared over his father's Littlewoods Football Pools coupon, to the enticing history lessons about Derby and its players from Uncle, this story is bursting with nostalgia. His loyalty to both Derby County and Notts County, evidenced by the regular banter he shared with work friend and subsequent respect for Notts' history, is a real testament to the beautiful game.
