There’s something about him that I simply don’t find appealing. I recall watching him play for Walsall, where he was elbowing players everywhere. I was surprised that he progressed in his career because he seemed like a loose cannon. When he signed for Watford, I thought he had improved his attitude. It was encouraging to see him change. However, when you join a League Two team and get the opportunity to manage them, criticising the players in the way he did shows a level of immaturity. It’s naïve of him to think otherwise.

He might have fallen into the trap of needing money to maintain the lifestyle he’s accustomed to. I don’t believe one would suddenly start stealing or attempting robberies like this. He might be involved with a bad group, but it’s good that the situation has been handled and the artefact has been recovered. Once in the hands of greedy individuals, it’s easy for such items to disappear, even if the culprits are apprehended.

With Wrexham showing improvement, it would be encouraging to see us maintain a position close to theirs. This league may not offer many surprises, but any team can triumph on a good day. Just because Walsall is currently struggling doesn’t guarantee us a win. My hope is that we can net a few goals, boost our confidence, and carry that momentum into the upcoming matches.

While I may not be as active as I once was, it doesn’t mean I value PON any less. I genuinely enjoy the site and the engagement it offers. It’s unfortunate when some lose their way, but this platform is meant for meaningful conversations and thoughtful posts that go beyond brief three to five-word replies.

The performance was subpar, to say the least. We crafted some fantastic goals, but they were sadly overshadowed by our abysmal defending. It simply wasn't up to scratch, and I'm at a loss as to why we faltered so badly.

Terry Venables, Rest in Peace. A naturally funny and good-natured person, who greatly enhanced football during his involvement.

Having moved from the KOP to the Pavis Stand a few seasons ago, I can see that there’s room for improvement in the latter. However, it’s reassuring to know that the club is cognisant of the areas that need attention. With the additional revenue, it’s crucial that we make smart investments off the pitch to facilitate progress on it. After all, a club’s success isn’t just about what happens during the 90 minutes, it’s also about the decisions made behind the scenes.

As the team approach the half-time whistle against AFC Wimbledon, it would be good to secure a two-goal lead. They’re a formidable side, but our squad is robust and capable. We just need to tap into our potential and maintain consistency, particularly when playing away. To all the fans attending the match, I encourage you to share your post-match thoughts. Your insights are valuable, and rest assured, they will be read and appreciated.

Goals of this calibre aren’t a weekly occurrence, so when they do happen, like the fantastic team goal by Gateshead, they’re certainly worthy of admiration.

Notts are demonstrating excellent form at home, and remaining undefeated is certainly an achievement worth striving for. I’d even venture to say that the winning streak is something we can take pride in. Despite Forest Green’s current performance, they have the potential to turn things around at any moment. My hope is to see Notts continue to enhance their defence, as the results should follow - assuming we create solid opportunities on the offensive end.

I don’t fault him for signing with a League One team, as he’ll be keen to maximise his career. The move to Port Vale is intriguing, and it leaves one curious about the amount they invested in his signing.

Connell Rawlinson often receives a significant amount of negative criticism, some of which is understandable, but some is not. This is why I avoid social media; fans are quick to cheer for a player one moment and then turn on them the instant a mistake is made. Defensively, Rawlinson could have performed better, as could other players. Aidan Stone shouldn’t have been beaten; it was a well-placed strike, but it seemed as though he waited for it to happen before reacting. Stone is by no means largely at fault; my point is that everyone could have performed better, yet only Rawlinson is criticised.

Tranmere Rovers have had such a dismal start to the season, it’s difficult to envision how a new manager could bring about improvements. They should have been more patient. Even Nigel Adkins might struggle to effect a turnaround until they can offload some players.

I’m delighted that Jodi Jones managed to play for an hour for Malta, particularly in a match where they emerged victorious in the friendly.

It was a decent match, especially if you weren’t rooting for either side. I reckon both sets of supporters will be left wondering why they didn’t clinch the victory. After the 66th minute, MK Dons seemed a bit timid. Kyle Cameron’s effort was a splendid finish. It was nice to see him have his moment in the spotlight. It ought to do wonders for his confidence.

I do hope that Ian Burchnall makes the most of his move to Wolves, it’ll be a grand place for him to learn. I also hope he doesn’t rush into management too soon. I have a feeling it might not pan out well.

It is awful news, as any death is and at 55, it does hit you especially if you are near to the age or older. Rest in Peace.

I understand the mixed feelings about the upcoming match against Tranmere Rovers. It's true that they're expected to be a strong contender, but Notts County's recent progress and hard work can't be ignored. The changing perspective from nervousness to optimism is a testament to the team's growth and potential. Creating and capitalizing on chances will indeed be key, and with the right efforts, Notts could come out on top. The season's unpredictability adds to the excitement, making every match a chance for the team to prove themselves.

I am just going to watch Notts this weekend. I do hope the weather is nice. If it rains, it will dampen the mood.

Things are bound to improve for Notts sooner or later. I always have more faith in home results compared to away games. I believe Meadow Lane will be buzzing and the supporters will hopefully rally behind the team to make it a thoroughly upbeat evening.
