  1. Brilliant signing, now let’s secure some more players.
  2. I have to admit, I enjoyed the four years in the Non League. It was a different experience, a chance to visit new grounds and meet new fans. It was also a time to rebuild our club and our identity, and to appreciate what we have. But I can’t deny that it still hurts how we got there. We didn’t go down fighting, we went down with a whimper. We let ourselves and our history down. We deserved better. Some of the highlights from the past four seasons in the National League were: The 5-1 win over Chorley in our first game back in 2019. A statement of intent and a glimpse of hope. The FA Trophy run in 2019-20, reaching the semi-finals and beating some tough opponents along the way. A shame we couldn’t finish it off. The 3-0 win over Chesterfield in 2020-21. A sweet revenge over our old rivals and a sign of our progress. The 4-0 win over Torquay in 2021-22. A dominant performance and a confirmation of our promotion credentials. The 4-1 win over Barnet in 2022-23. A superb home victory against a good club who looked lost against us. I’m proud of what we achieved in the Non League, but I’m also glad to be back in the Football League. We belong there. We are Notts County.
  3. Notts County playing their 5,000th game is a huge milestone and a testament to the club’s rich history and tradition. It would be fantastic if this momentous occasion could be celebrated at home, in front of their loyal fans.
  4. Automatic promotion back to back would be amazing but it might prove difficult. While Notts has the talent and determination to achieve back-to-back promotions, it won’t be an easy feat. The competition is fierce, and it will take everything they’ve got to secure a top spot. But with their skill and dedication, they have what it takes to achieve their goals.
  5. Jonathan Forte’s importance in the playoff games against Coventry will never be forgotten. He played a crucial role in those matches, delivering top-notch performances and scoring crucial goals. Forte’s skill and determination were on full display during those games, and he helped lead the team to victory. His contributions were invaluable and he will always be remembered fondly by fans for his efforts in those playoff games.
  6. I don’t want to be a party pooper, but I think we’ll make the playoffs and then experience a few years where we either lose in the final or get knocked out before. It would be amazing to get back-to-back promotions and I think Luke Williams has what it takes to guide us to success, but we may need to build a little further.
  7. His contributions to the games are instrumental in securing a victory for Notts County. Matt Palmer’s outstanding performance at Wembley is just one example of the many times he has proven himself to be a top-class midfielder.
  8. Chesterfield did well, I thought they approached the start exactly how a team should. It's lucky for us that they grew tired after chasing the game but Notts did well to get back into the game twice. The penalties were something I didn't want to watch with my own eyes, very stressful trip to Wembley but worth the outcome.
  9. Typically, when I feel nervous, it’s not a positive experience. I’m concerned that Chesterfield will have more desire and consequently perform better as a team. I hope I’m mistaken, but I worry that Notts won’t handle the situation as well and Chesterfield isn’t Boreham Wood. Although they’ve given us victories in the past after taking the lead, this is much different from a league match.
  10. Notts needs to win! Our players must stay focused and avoid being intimidated or struggling to play the ball forward. No silly cards - just focus on creating chances and putting away the good ones. They can do this!
  11. Luke Williams is known for his unique managerial style where he likes to play games with the media and downplay things. Despite this, he has not done much wrong so far. Even though we are the favorites, he knows that we have to earn our place at Wembley and beyond that. He understands that nothing is given and everything must be earned.
  12. Now, I know Jim O’Brien is getting on in terms of a footballer, but let me tell you, he doesn’t often miss a beat. He’s a credit to the club for his approach to being a leader and a player who is happy to wait in the wing to make an appearance. A true professional.
  13. Ah yes, it looks like the playoffs are well and truly underway! And what a day it was for Notts County Football Club. A comprehensive 5-2 victory over Maidstone United sends a clear signal of intent to their rivals. It wasn't just a statement against Maidstone either; Wrexham needed to work hard to overcome Boreham Wood earlier in the day, so this result puts even more pressure on them to perform. What made things all the sweeter for Notts fans? A dominant display right from the start, featuring confident, composed football from the entire squad. Individually speaking, several Notts players impressed throughout the contest, none more than midfielder Jim O'Brien. His energetic showing earned him praise from supporters and pundits alike, capping off his finest hour in a Notts shirt yet. While there were occasional lapses in concentration at the back, overall the defenders rose to the challenge and gave their all without losing composure. With performances like these coming together in key moments, hopes will be high among those supporting the Magpies that silverware could soon return to Meadow Lane once again.
  14. The performance doesn't matter to me, to progress to the next round would is all that does. Notts needs to play with confidence and be clinical on goal.
  15. Get the right players and let them do the business on the pitch, that is the way to convince fans the signings are exciting.
  16. Weymouth look like a very poor team that only turns up every other game, they can attack but defensively they're questionable. No doubt playing Notts will mean they will want to be at their very best.
  17. It's a long way to go until this is resolved, I am doubtful about the vaccination because I am not sure how it will work properly without making those who have it ill.
  18. The squad look like they could beat anyone put before them, it's also good to see the amount of hard work gone into converting crosses. Notts should use the attacking options we have like this, all of the strikers know how to use their heads. Fantastic 4-0 win.
  19. By far one of the best signings, if not the best. It's a significant importance that Notts got the deal across the line, if he had left due to other interest, I do feel it would have been like Yates leaving a few seasons back.
  20. Good insight into Ricardo Moniz as Notts manager, the philosophy he brought to the club was different than any team beneath the Premier League.
  21. Focus on the next game against Hartlepool. Notts won't win every game! I thought it came down mostly to the lack of control the referee had of the game and how Woking would dive/waste time. Notts just has to be more aware of the tricks and quit walking the ball towards the penalty box.
  22. I can see Yeovil winning but it wouldn't be a disappointment for me.
  23. At my age, I only attend a handful of away games but this season has reminded me of what it was like supporting Notts all those years ago. Some of the grounds have a charming old school appeal to them. I don't think the club would have moved forward without promotion or relegation, the latter seems to have done the trick so far. I am hoping to make a few more games now we are in 2020. All the home games I have attended, I would agree the standard hasn't been that bad. A rough rough times but a lot more enjoyment is there. Teams appear to want to do well because of how tight this league can be.
  24. The momentum that has been built does need to be carried forward, if Dover deal Notts a setback, I have faith the team can bounce back. I think it will be 1-0 to Notts. Wes Thomas to score a tap in.
