  1. Hello, welcome to PoN. I hope to see you contribute to the site @samantha louise.
  2. Hello, welcome to PoN. I hope to see you contribute to the site @magpiemad.
  3. Tommy Lawton's advocacy for better pay shows he was a man ahead of his times. Great on and off the pitch.
  4. Extraordinary achievement for the club, playing the 5000th Football League match! Such a detailed look back, incredibly nostalgic. Can't wait for the Gillingham game.
  5. Swindon Town might be the first real challenge for a disheartened Notts side. We need to see a stronger performance, especially in defence. It could become frustrating if this continues, with the possibility of complaints during the match.
  6. It’s mostly disappointing because of the way we handed goals to Colchester United. They played brilliantly, but our mistakes led to their victory. They made us work hard for the goals we scored. We can’t be so effective in attack if we can’t defend leads. We are not a team managed by Ricardo Moniz.
  7. This article echoes the feelings of every Notts County fan. Our voices serve as the invisible twelfth man on the field. Our cheers and support inject something intangible, yet profoundly effective, into the players. It's a beautiful bond that only strengthens with every match and season. The fans are indeed the lifeblood of the club, and I'm proud to be one of them!
  8. What an exciting direction for Notts! Focusing on local talent encourages and enables young players to rise through the ranks, creating a future pool of talented players not only for Notts but for all of football. Great to see Williams and the management thinking ahead and planning for the future of the club.
  9. The exceptional result of the match was a testament to Nottingham’s vibrant performance, which was palpable through the radio coverage. Our supporters’ enthusiasm was clearly audible, adding to the excitement. The significance of this victory and the clean sheet cannot be understated, boosting our team’s morale despite Gillingham reclaiming the top spot. Reflecting on the previous season, the thrilling rivalry with Wrexham added an extra layer of anticipation to each match. As we look forward to the new season, we hope to replicate this intense competition with Gillingham, promising another season of nail-biting matches and unforgettable football moments.
  10. What strikes me the most about Macaulay Langstaff is not just his goal scoring but his all-around attitude. His insistence on not worrying about the destination but loving the journey reflects great sportsmanship. His acknowledgement of the fans' emotional impact is a real testimony to his character. Truly an asset for Notts County.
  11. It makes me wonder how many other referees have intentionally missed calls, not just in Premier League games or with VAR in general. Mike Dean, as such, should have ended his career by admitting to officiating mistakes.
  12. Tomorrow’s match promises to be intense. Tranmere, despite their rough start, will be looking to right the wrongs. However, with our recent form and Langstaff finding his net again, they are up against a side full of confidence. It’s our game to lose.
  13. All the better for being in colour, as you can see the detail, players, and shirts much more clearly. It was a fantastic squad; Jimmy looks very happy.
  14. Absolutely agree with McGoldrick's emphasis on fitness. A fit player is indeed a better player. The youngsters could learn loads from seasoned pros.
  15. @BeestonPie welcome to PoN.
  16. A proud moment for everyone at Notts County FC Academy. Congratulations!
  17. The Stoke City match will be a great opportunity to test the team’s resilience. No points or titles on the line, just pure football.
  18. It's wonderful to see a manager who not only identifies and appreciates the contributions of the more experienced players but also praises the young ones. A balanced team is a successful team.
  19. My favourite signing so far is the return of David McGoldrick. I think his homecoming will be something that inspires the squad, and along with his ability and experience, will be useful in our first season back in the EFL.
  20. Tom Weal is a good judge of ability and I’m sure he will have looked at this keeper and helped the board, along with Luke Williams, to make a decision. As a backup, he might only play cup games and the odd match, so he’ll have to take whatever time comes his way.
  21. He sounds like a superb addition to the squad. I’ve been impressed again with the summer recruitment and I think Dan Crowley is the type of player who will impress all fans, both young and old like myself.
  22. The Reedtz run the club how it needs to be handled; the staff and coaching know their roles and it’s been wonderful having them. I think by the time they decide to sell up, we will be far better off than how they found us, far better and I would hope they don’t because it’s nice to think just how good we have it right now.
  23. Members come and go; they come back but provided PON is still here, that is the main thing. The site will evolve further and lose some of the furniture.
  24. The Neil Warnock times were exciting, much like now under Luke Williams. Warnock had a good rapport with Notts fans; it was a sad day when we got rid of him. Nice feature on Tony Wood.
  25. Over the years, Notts has had some very good international players. Jodi Jones opting to play for Malta through his family is a nice way for him to pay respect to them. I wish him well.
