We need to be stronger in our shape at the back. Pushing men forward to try and break the opposition down should not mean we fall apart defensively.

Colchester showed where we are weak and other teams are beginning to notice it too. The real issue is poor decision making, which takes away control of the game and destroys the momentum we are trying to build.

@Wheelbarrow repair man, Some fans might bring up the debt being written off and ask questions that hint at deeper worries. It’s not hard to imagine people wondering if things are really as good as they seem.

You could be right that the move was meant to lift spirits and make things look more positive. But if fans have real concerns, they’ll likely look beyond the surface and ask what it really means.

The main thing for me is how the club chooses to set it up and what their approach is. If it's only going to focus on the start of the season and all the drama around it, then I don't think it's worth doing. Those issues could have been dealt with when they happened.

I do believe it's important to ask questions, but the way the forum works can take up a lot of time. It often feels like too much effort for too little in return.

It could be a good idea to try and get fans involved with the club’s goals. It might help rebuild trust and bring back a sense of unity between the supporters and the club. Even if things like the fans’ forum feel like a waste of time, they do give people a chance to ask questions that might not get answered otherwise.

Yes, some questions will be watered down or avoided, but if the right ones are asked, you might still learn something useful. Sometimes it’s about reading between the lines and spotting what’s not being said.

Would I ask anything? I think I’d still take the chance. Even if the question gets brushed aside, it’s better to try than to stay silent and wonder. You never know what might slip through.

Alassana Jatta had several chances where he could have done better with his finishing. He was stretching at times, but you’d still expect more effort, especially with how he aimed his shots. I thought Tyrese Hall did well. He looked sharp and might have scored. Scott Robertson caused a few problems too, and Matt Palmer hit a brilliant shot that the Crewe keeper did well to save.

It feels like three points slipped away against a team that didn’t deserve more than one. Notts looked the stronger side but lacked that final touch in front of goal. The referee was very inconsistent with fouls. Some were given, others ignored, and it didn’t make much sense. Notts could have had two penalties, and Crewe might say the same. Giving one and not the others needs looking into.

It’s encouraging to see the club leaning into data and analysis to shape its decisions. They’re not chasing big names for the sake of it, there’s a clear focus on spotting gaps and addressing them with purpose. That kind of thinking helps you stay sharp in a league where money talks, without getting swept up in it.

The approach to the loan market was a real eye-opener. If the link with Spurs carries on, it could be a clever way to bring in strong players without overspending. So far, it’s been smart business and a sign that the club’s thinking long-term.

Players do need a consistent run to build confidence and rhythm, especially in key positions. But if someone isn’t performing, it’s fair to give another player a chance. That’s how competition works, and it keeps standards high.

The back four looks like it will be settled. The centre backs and goalkeeper seem nailed on. Wing backs might be less certain, but names like Matt Platt, Matthew Dennis and Jodi Jones are likely to be regulars.

It would be good to see the squad take shape early. That helps with understanding and teamwork. But some players, like Kellan Gordon, haven’t quite locked down their spot. The Newport game and the training sessions this week give Martin Paterson a chance to make decisions and set things right.

I believe the club will spend money on new players, but it’s clear they’re focusing more on being sustainable. Under the Reedtz brothers, things seem to be shifting towards long-term planning rather than short-term gain.

Some fans are throwing around wild theories, saying the club is getting ready to be sold. I don’t believe that’s true. It looks to me like the money from outgoing transfers is being used for more than just boosting the squad. It’s going into the training ground, The Nest, refurbishing the pitch, safe standing, and new advertising boards.

I’m not saying the club won’t pay fees for future signings, I do think they will. But I also wanted to highlight the fact that there are other important areas where that money is going.

I’m really hoping to hear some positive updates from the fans who managed to go. Their thoughts will be the best way for me and others who couldn’t make it to get a feel for how things went.

I thought Notts might have shared highlights from the Alfreton game, but there’s nothing on the official site. I don’t see why this game would be any different, but I’m still hoping they’ll post something. It would be great to watch.

It’s a terrible way to die, trapped in a burning car. The pictures of what’s left look truly awful. He was told not to fly for medical reasons, and then something like this happens, it’s such a cruel twist of fate. It’s not just Jota either. It sounds like his brother was also named as one of the people who died.

My thoughts are with their family and everyone close to them. Rest in peace.

With Alex Bass now off for a reported ‘substantial fee’, McGoldrick choosing not to stay, and Slocombe stepping into coaching, it’s left us without some big figures. No like-for-like Crowley replacement either, so you can’t help but feel we’ve taken a few steps back.

I’ve no doubt the recruitment team are hard at it, hunting down the right names to patch things up and give the squad more balance and depth. But it’s a tall order.

It might take a couple of eye-catching signings to really lift spirits and get fans believing again. The optimism’s taken a knock, and plugging gaps isn’t just about bodies, it’s about quality too.

It’s boiling today. The humidity is really noticeable and makes everything feel heavier. We do love to grumble about the weather - too hot, too cold, never just right. But today genuinely feels worse than usual.

It’s not much fun being out in it, especially when the sun’s at its strongest. Best to stay in the shade if you can.

Ollie Norburn was always a standout during his time at Shrewsbury, the kind of player who brings resilience, composure, and leadership to any squad. He’s had his fair share of setbacks with injuries, but his career speaks volumes, more than 200 EFL appearances and the captain’s armband at several clubs is proof of the influence he carries. His presence on the pitch is exactly what teams need to keep things steady in the middle.

I have sat in the Kop many times, but now I sit in the Pavis Stand, to the right of the Kop. My seat is about halfway between the dugout and the end.

George Foreman’s life was remarkable, not just because of his boxing achievements but also because of his transformation as a person. I am not at the game today and cannot get the radio coverage, but I am checking the score periodically via Google. George Abbott has been a massive signing for us this season, such a talented player, and I eagerly await seeing his goal. Fingers crossed Notts can get another goal, just to put the game to rest. Pleased with the score so far, hope those in attendance are nice and warm.

I tried to post this at half-time, but I couldn't get a strong enough signal. I am impressed with Notts' start and the two goals. Gillingham seemed to have a game plan, which the goals briefly disrupted. Now that we are 2-0 up and firmly in the second half, we need to play as if the first 45 minutes didn't happen. Don't get complacent and push for a third goal.
