Interesting to see the way the club is using data and analysis to drive decisions. It’s not just about signing names, they’re clearly identifying weaknesses and trying to fix them in smart ways. That’s how you stay competitive in a league full of big spenders without losing your head. The loan market stuff was eye-opening too. Fingers crossed the Spurs link-up continues because that’s how you bring in quality without breaking the bank. Great work so far.

I remember seeing Ollie Norburn during his time at Shrewsbury and thought he was the sort of player every team needs, tough, composed, and leads by example. Injuries have been unlucky for him, but his track record speaks for itself.
Over 200 EFL appearances and captaining most clubs he’s been at says a lot about his character. If he can get up to speed in pre-season, I think we’ll see a real difference in the way we control midfield.

What a fantastic story Curtis Edwards has! From his early days in the Northern League to playing in the Europa League, it’s clear he’s earned everything he’s achieved. The guy could’ve given up after his early struggles, but instead, he worked even harder. His move to Sweden was a huge turning point, and to play in the top division in Sweden and against European teams shows just how far he’s come. He’s experienced at every level and brings that to his play on the pitch.
The best thing about Curtis is that he’s got that work ethic, which is something we’ve needed at Notts. He’s always looking to get involved, helping in both attacking and defensive situations. That’s the kind of player you want in a team fighting for promotion. It’s great to have someone with his background at the club. Let’s hope he can continue his rise with Notts.

Bedeau’s spot on about our defensive shape improving. We had a shaky spell, but now we look a lot more structured. The midfield’s putting in the work off the ball, and even the forwards are pressing high, which makes such a difference. Having a settled backline helps, and I think Bedeau and Platt complement each other well. Also, credit to Alex Bass, he commands his box brilliantly. We still need to be more clinical in front of goal, but defensively, we’re in a much better place than last season. If we can keep this up, we’ll be right in the mix for promotion.

Really pleased with how we’re managing games lately. Maynard has clearly worked on making us more solid at the back, and it’s paying off. That’s 11 clean sheets now, which is a great platform to build on. The goal was quality, Jatta took it really well, and he’s getting better every game. The referee situation is getting frustrating, though. That was a clear penalty, but the explanation Maynard got was baffling. Do they want players to surround the ref to get decisions? Because that’s what will happen. Either way, great result, and the squad looks strong even with a few injuries.

This interview is a great insight into how much players like Jack value the fans. His appreciation for the support at Meadow Lane says a lot about the connection between the team and the supporters. It’s also brilliant to see him acknowledge the senior players’ mentorship, it’s a reminder of how important experienced heads are in shaping the future of the squad.

The way Sam describes the FA Cup gives me goosebumps. His memories with Kidderminster remind us why this competition holds such charm. Facing higher league opposition like Peterborough won’t be easy, but Sam’s professionalism and the team’s preparation – from practising penalties to building confidence. is precisely what is required. Let’s hope we make it past the third round for the first time in years.

The youth team have done a fantastic job to get to this stage. Beating Kempston Rovers and Burton Albion wasn’t easy, so it shows how much grit and determination these lads have. Facing Fulham will be a huge test, but it’s also the kind of game that inspires young players to dream big. I think it’s brilliant that the coaches are focusing on improvement and giving the lads tools for future success, not just focusing on the result. I’ll be there on Sunday to cheer them on, and I hope they leave everything on the pitch!

The thing I love about Jatta is how he blends talent with humility. Scoring 10 goals in 13 matches is an incredible achievement, but the way he talks about the support from teammates and fans is what really shows his character. His description of feeling at home in Notts and the little moments, like taking the Gambian flag, demonstrate he’s invested in the club. I think his positive attitude and ambition to go beyond double digits are what we need to push us forward this season. Excited to see him play for The Gambia too!

There is a lot of criticism towards Stuart Maynard by his fan club, which I don't get. We have several injuries and the players gave their all in the game. We could have scored a second goal if things had worked out, and the opening goal was a thing of beauty. Jatta guided an excellent cross beyond the Doncaster keeper's reach. It was a brilliant goal. We should be taking the positives and encouraging the players. It was a good point on the road, and we are still undefeated away from home.

I’ve always admired the family feel at Notts County, and this just reinforces that. Stuart Maynard’s support for Cedwyn during this time is exactly what we would expect from a club that really values its players. Mental health isn’t something you can just shake off, and it’s great to see Cedwyn getting the help he needs without any pressure to return before he’s ready. As Maynard said, the team will be there for him, and I hope he knows that the fans are too. I can’t wait to see him back on the pitch, but only when he’s fully ready, mentally and physically.
-
Maynard’s spot on about Chesterfield’s quality. They’re not your typical newly promoted side, and they’ve invested well in their squad. I think this will be one of our tougher away games this season, especially with their fans behind them. That said, our away form has been solid. If McGoldrick’s back and firing, we’ve got that extra bit of quality to break them down. I liked what Maynard said about the frustrations at home, where teams sit back more. Chesterfield might try something similar, but away from home, I think we’ll have more space to work with.

Victory at Brunton Park was much needed. Notts County's disciplined approach, particularly in defence, ensured Carlisle couldn't break through. Jatta and Robertson provided the attacking spark, showcasing their quality. Bass truly stood out with crucial saves that kept a clean sheet intact. The fans' unwavering support was the cherry on top, creating a fantastic atmosphere that felt like a home game. Maynard’s tactical nous and the players’ commitment suggest a promising season ahead. It’s a pleasure to see the team responding so well to the head coach’s strategies.
-
It’s going to be tough. I like the insight given by Liam into his club. Carlisle United are a good team but have issues. Greg Abbott, our former assistant manager, is there with them. I recall @Piethagoram mentioning that he works as a scout or something along those lines. I would hope the team that turns up can make it difficult for them, but both teams sound like they are still trying to get a grip of the performances so far this season. We are not yet 10 games in, so results could be hit and miss.
-
Some fans want to win every game, but that’s just not realistic. Some will just want to see a good performance, but football isn’t always like that. If Notts can win games, it will be because they deserved it and worked hard. Draws aren’t the end of the world. Losing is the worst scenario for a promotion-chasing team. The fact we avoided that speaks volumes. The next win should be big for returning the confidence and morale of the squad.

Since joining Notts, he’s slotted into the defence beautifully, helping to solidify our backline. It’s not just his defensive skills but also his ability to contribute offensively that adds another layer to our game. His positive outlook on our promotion chances is exactly what we need. This weekend’s match against Morecambe is more than just a game; it’s a chance for Jacob to showcase his growth. Really hope we see a standout performance from him

Stuart Maynard speaks well, considering how angry he must feel. It’s going to be a test to see how Jodi Jones is and when we can likely expect him back. It just means we have to be even more focused on achieving success this season. I don’t want to complain further about the officials; Maynard said how I feel.
-
I'm enjoying the attacking football we’re playing this season. Stuart Maynard has really got the team clicking, and it’s paying off. The unpredictability in our play is catching opponents off guard, which is fantastic. Defensively, the improvements are noticeable too. We seem much more composed at the back, which is giving the players in front the freedom to express themselves. Gillingham will be a tough nut to crack, but I believe in the squad’s ability to rise to the challenge. Keep up the hard work, lads!

t’s wonderful to see players like Jodi Jones and Dan Crowley thriving. Their performances against Bromley were nothing short of spectacular. Jones’ two-goal display and Crowley's influential strike underscored their importance to the team. The way they turned the game around showed not just skill but immense character. Stallard’s insights reflect what many of us feel - these players are special. It’s also encouraging to have depth in the squad with talents like Jatta coming off the bench. We need to build on this win and strive for consistency if we are to achieve our ambitions this season.
-
Jodi Jones’s loyalty and enthusiasm for the club are refreshing. His bond with fans is special and lovely to see, making every game more exciting. The fact he’s a team player, always valuing assists over personal glory, shows his good character. Under Maynard’s guidance, Jones continues to thrive, and his decision to stay shows the club’s ambitions moving forward. It’s not just a contract extension; it’s a statement that Notts County is building a future with heart and drive.

This is a very enjoyable read, and I agree with the points raised. The squad is looking stronger. I had concerns about the departures, but I think George Abbott is an excellent addition. He’s exactly the type of loan player you want to bring in. You can also see how much they’re enjoying playing together.

Paul Devlin's career is a brilliant mix of talent, hard work, and perseverance. His journey from the non-league pitches to the Premier League is truly inspiring. The fact that he earned ten caps for Scotland, despite being born in England, adds an international flair to his story. It's amazing to see how he became a key player at every club he joined, particularly at Notts County and Birmingham. His ability to adapt and shine even when the odds were against him speaks volumes about his character. This article is a fantastic tribute to a remarkable career.
Matthew Dennis Strikes Twice but Bromley Deny Notts County Victory
in Match Reports
The balance of the game shows how evenly matched it was, but at home you expect us to win. Possession was fairly even, but our use of the ball could have been sharper. Only three shots on target says a lot about how we struggled to break them down in the second half.
Matthew Dennis continues to impress though, and it’s good to see him scoring regularly now. Defensively, we weren’t troubled much, yet Bromley still found two goals which sums it up. It wasn’t a collapse, just a case of letting control slip. A frustrating result but one we can learn from moving forward.
