  1. My favourite film genres are thrillers, crime, comedy and horror. I don’t get much chance to watch them at the cinema now that I’m working. I used to go regularly with a group on Tuesdays and Fridays. The new Resident Evil film was great; the previous series was dreadful. I actually bought the remastered versions of Resident Evil I, II and Nemesis because people said the last one was so true to the franchise.
  2. It does sound like Notts has made a big impact on Nigel. Coming from a Notts family, it will always be in the blood, but I also think this is a great story. It’s nice to read into the background of fans. If Nigel reads this and can jump on board with PON, it’s a fantastic story!
  3. I use Chrome on all of my devices. It’s just the norm now and I don’t even think about it. It’s just a browser for me. I do think all browsers are about the same these days. Firefox used to be way faster, but I think that’s changed.
  4. For the home shirt, I am hoping for something similar to the 09/10 shirt, with traditional and regular stripes. I would love to see the Notts yellow elegantly placed around parts of the shirt, such as the collar and arm sleeves. I wouldn’t be against having a different black and white pattern on the back of the shirt. Sometimes this can make the shirt look different and more interesting. However, I would prefer it if the back wasn’t completely white. When it comes to the away shirt, I would prefer either yellow or light blue, but not both colours together. I would like the shirt to be a little more interesting than just plain. Perhaps it could feature darker shades of the same colour. I think a nice light blue away shirt would be great! However, a yellow one wouldn’t be too bad either.
  5. On Saturday, I spent most of the day out with friends. We went for a walk, talked, did some shopping and had something to eat together. Today, however, I didn’t feel that great so I stayed at home and rested in order to be fully recovered for work tomorrow. I quite liked the showers as they temporarily cooled things down.
  6. Being a good person is important. Your loved ones might not be as happy if they worry or are concerned about you. I have plenty of sprinkles in my life and I’m blessed by it.
  7. I got rid of a few I had grown out of. I just have my favourite now, which is the 2008 shirt. It was a Christmas present and was bought above my actual size at the time.
  8. It reads as if he’s left to join another club. He’s done well with them, but the club does seem to have a glass ceiling. They need a bit more investment to go further. I do wonder where he will end up next.
  9. Spot on, I think he will find his place in time and all the players must rely on their form to keep a place in the side. Compared to other seasons, this should be a recipe for success, provided Luke Williams isn’t afraid to drop certain players if they hit a poor spell.
  10. Stone’s arrival could provide new options for the manager when it comes to selecting the starting lineup. Healthy competition within the team is always a good thing. If I were Brooks, this would make me more determined and less likely to accept being replaced.
  11. Hello, @NottsLoyal. Welcome to PON. You will enjoy it for sure, now that you have posted you will be hooked.

  14. The fixtures look good to me as well. I like how The Sun is portraying Wrexham’s fixtures as difficult. They don’t seem to be so to me, although I think they have been quiet. I believe we should enter the season with confidence and work towards the best possible outcome. It would be nice to have winning streaks.
  15. In my opinion, complaining about fixtures isn’t really worth it because it doesn’t achieve anything in the end. The outcome won’t change and it just feeds annoyance. I am pleased that we were drawn against Lincoln City. Our games against each other tend to be enjoyable and I would prefer these over Mansfield.
  16. I don’t know much about Vicky McClure’s work with dementia, but it’s good to see people involved in promoting awareness. @Fan of Big Tone, I’m sorry to hear about your mum. It must be difficult to cope with and very upsetting.
  17. I watched the first episode and thought it was quite good. It seems to be one of those shows that gets better as it progresses. I like the idea of the creatures and the need to go indoors before they come out.
  18. I’m really pleased that Dan Crowley joined Notts. It’s wonderful to see a player who is excited and proud to be part of a club that is moving forward and playing football in the fourth tier of English football in the way it should be. I think his enthusiasm will bring a lot of positive energy to the team.
  19. I’m thrilled about the release of the fixtures. The opening games are very attractive and I believe there’s a high probability that we can start off strong and build momentum.
  20. Those all sound like useful additions to a time capsule. The Football Post? Whatever happened to that? Reminding fans of Tony Hateley is fitting, along with the teddy bear you mentioned. Little Jocky? That sounds like most young school kids these days. Little Luke sounds better. Great to see more history mentioned! We need to put in the very best stuff. Thanks, @liampie
  21. For me, Jodi Jones is the standout permanent signing for Notts County. He’s such an interesting and exciting player to watch on the pitch. His speed and agility make him a real threat to any defence. But I must say, I’m also delighted with the other three permanent signings. Will Randall, David McGoldrick and Dan Chorley all bring something unique to the team and I’m looking forward to seeing how they all perform this season.
  22. Here we go again, at this stage even I am not bothered but it just becomes frustrating by the mindlessness of the Nottingham Council. It's like the blind leading the blind, they really need to make it up to Notts in the future. The Council should be ashamed of themselves for how they treat our historic club.
  23. I think we could do with some defensive improvements. If Aaron Nemane leaves, we need to fill that position again. I know we signed Will Randall and Jodi Jones, but I would like another. Defenders are the crucial area; I wouldn’t be against seeing two centre-backs come in to give Connell Rawlinson more competition for his place.
  24. It’s interesting that he may already have a friendship with John Bostock. I think once he settles and his confidence grows, along with the support of the fans, we may have signed a player with a good resale value. Not that this is the only consideration, but his quality could take us further with such a great squad.
  25. Paul Warne does sound like a decent manager. He’s handled the situation well, as have Derby. I think they’ll be able to attract someone young and, although they may miss his experience, they’ll be stronger for it. He’s said some nice things about David McGoldrick.
