  1. America is far from perfect, but one thing the UK doesn't have is streams, lakes, and rivers where you can swim without bacteria build-ups. This isn't all down to the water companies, but the amount you read about leaks and dumping happening back across the pond makes me angry. As for water prices, they should use their own profits.
  2. I believe we need to recognise how much progress weโ€™ve made and strive to stay grounded after disappointing outcomes. Defensive mistakes can be trained out of a teamโ€™s performance, as can the teamโ€™s style of play. Losing 4-2 to Wimbledon is a letdown, but we shouldnโ€™t let it make us feel defeated. Itโ€™s just one match, and Iโ€™m confident that Luke Williams will be able to turn things around. If we can strengthen our squad further in January, we might see even more improvement. A skilled defender could make a significant difference. Not that our defenders are poor, but someone who is more alert, focused, and driven could be a game-changer.
  3. I didnโ€™t have the chance to see Ben Davies play in person, but I do recall his time with us and how he often emerged as a goal scorer. The 09/10 season was a delight to follow through the highlights, and I wish I had been able to attend some of the matches that season. Reading this article is fantastic, especially the comments, as they reveal how much Ben meant to Notts.
  4. Notts needs to start shifting into fourth or fifth gear now, if they want to be in the running for the top 3 spots. Stockport County are starting to pull ahead and create a healthy gap. I donโ€™t want to see Mansfield finish above us, we need to keep the pressure on them and a win against Wimbledon would be just the ticket. Wrexham are also starting to show they can finish in the top three, so we need to work hard in away games to make sure the club picks up as many points as possible on the road.
  5. Dan Crowley is a really exciting player to watch, he seems to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve and the way he turns around and then goes back to where he was previously facing is such a clever way to confuse the opposition player. Seeing players enjoying their football, it makes everything that much better. Finally, Notts County have a squad that fights for the fans, owners who care about the future, rather than the short term and staff who understand how unity makes a big impact.
  6. Very handy to read all this, Iโ€™ve not had the chance to watch the fans forum video but going through this it seems like it was very informative and useful, with lots to look forward to. Itโ€™s nice to see the club buzzing, but also with owners who understand how smart investments work. Investments that arenโ€™t a gimmick like naming tea bars after yourself.
  7. Their manager will undoubtedly be feeling the pressure. I find @Chrisโ€™s comments interesting, but I donโ€™t usually pay much attention to the opposition as they can often resemble politicians, moulded by their own agendas and beliefs rather than being honest and humble. Notts played very well, even though I felt like Forest Green could go on and cause an upset. I think that second goal for them woke Notts up, thankfully we turned our performance back on. Finishing the game 4-3 is just a reminder that some teams wonโ€™t just lay down because we are leading a game.
  8. Iโ€™m not sure how this escaped my notice, @Piethagoram, but thatโ€™s quite an impressive list. I believe thereโ€™s a portion Iโ€™ve never seen, so Iโ€™ll use this as a guide for future viewing.
  9. Our away form has seen steady improvement since the earlier games. However, Colchester may prove to be a challenging team for Notts to score against. I envision the game ending in a 1-1 draw, not due to a lack of good play or opportunities created by Notts, but because Colchester performed well on their home ground.
  10. The young player performed well against us. His potential is evident and his skills were impressive. Heโ€™s definitely one to watch.
  11. Hello, @Morten Johansen. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. I hope to see you join in whenever you can. See you across the pond!
  12. The game was incredibly exciting. There was a moment when I thought Forest Green might take the lead. Notts seemed to retreat after the second half began, but they came back fighting for the win when the score was 2-2. It was truly entertaining.
  13. Luke Williams will undoubtedly demand better, but I believe he will be pleased with the win. Iโ€™m sure he enjoyed the game as much as anyone else - how could he not? He simply wants to see improvement at times. Thereโ€™s not much that could have been done about two of the goals as they were well executed. However, we need to be more careful about conceding penalties.
  14. A victory is a victory, no matter how it comes. Itโ€™s crucial not to underestimate the importance of showing the quality and character needed to win a game, especially when the opposition has managed to claw their way back into it. Scoring two more goals after such a setback demonstrates real quality.
  15. The level of support shown during games has been truly impressive. Iโ€™ve been following the matches on iFollow and itโ€™s clear that the Notts fans are giving their all. Their dedication and connection to the club is something that needs to be nurtured and supported. An increase in the fanbase could be a positive development, especially if we manage to maintain an average performance. Thereโ€™s no doubt that itโ€™s a fantastic time to be a fan.
  16. All games, in my opinion, hold significant value as they provide me with valuable insights. I express my gratitude to everyone who has engaged in playing games alongside me. This information is crucial for someone like me who is living away from their home country. Therefore, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you.
  17. It's set to be yet another challenging match. Although we're aiming for a victory, securing a point for continued enhancements shouldn't be overlooked. I'm not particularly well-acquainted with the Salford squad, but I remain hopeful that our team's quality will help us navigate through any potential challenges. In terms of player selection, fielding our strongest team will be crucial. With Jodi Jones returning to the fold, Notts should be fully prepared to face the match ahead.
  18. It's frustrating to see teams like Accrington Stanley come into matches solely focused on playing defensively and securing a point. While they may have delivered a tidy performance, it's clear that they lacked attacking intent and didn't trouble our team much aside from the set piece they scored from. It's disheartening to see missed chances and shots straight at our goalkeeper without no real test. On the other hand, I'm proud of our team for playing with spirit and quality. Refereeing decisions can have a significant impact on the outcome of matches, and it's disappointing when the performance of the referee falls short. Inconsistencies and poor decision-making can mark the overall quality of the game. However, Notts did well and It was a superb win.
  19. I hope it will be a good match between two teams eager to earn those crucial 3 points. I will be streaming the game with my iFollow season ticket. I may not be as close to the action as some of you, but I will be cheering Notts on. Notts have a good chance of moving up in the League Two table. I believe that prospect is enough to see the season start to flourish towards the hopes we all had of having another promotion season. The league is quite competitive, and I am sure Tranmere Rovers will want to spoil our party, but I have confidence that defensively we will be better than what I watched from the Grimsby game. It would be nice to see Macaulay Langstaff get his name on the score sheet. I can see the game finishing 3-1 in favour of Notts, but I am unsure who to predict as the scorers.
  20. I like Richard Brindley. When he first joined, he looked like a superb right-back, more for his attacking play, but it did seem like a position that suited him. In the games I have seen this season, I believe he has given his all, and itโ€™s been a sort of revelation to see him play as the middle centre-back in a pairing of 3. He has shone, and that bit of freedom he gets in games may give him the confidence to further improve. His form in this area could help Notts defensively, as it does seem to suit him.
  21. The Tranmere game is a good opportunity for Notts to get into a position in League Two, where performances and results will make the most impact. I will be watching the game from across the pond, hoping for 3 points.
  22. I would say that itโ€™s about scoring as early as possible, as it forces teams to either attack or defend more, which usually leaves space. The fact that Luke Williams has highlighted that Doncaster wanted to pack the defenders and that the goal made all the difference shows just how important it is for Notts to work on finding the net.
  23. He took his goals well against Doncaster, and itโ€™s pleasing to see just how much it means to him. His smile certainly grew bigger with each goal, and the fact that heโ€™s not dwelling on the fact that he went three games without scoring is a positive too. He understands that itโ€™s all about chances and that the perfect opportunities will come. Now that he has found the net, hopefully Langstaff will go on to score plenty more, but no pressure Macaulay!
  24. I'm uncertain about what to anticipate from Doncaster; I've been watching teams' highlights on YouTube. The EFL appears to favor Notts and Wrexham on their League Two channel. I usually check the scores after games and choose to watch the ones that catch my interest. Doncaster's initial struggles provide added motivation to secure a victory. From what I've observed, they don't seem to be performing poorly enough to remain in that position for long. The upcoming match could pose challenges for Notts; however, it's crucial to win, especially with only 4 points from 3 games.
  25. Julie's story is beautifully interwoven with passion, tradition, and an unwavering loyalty towards Notts. The way her family has passed down their love for the team through generations is simply amazing. This truly embodies the spirit of being a Magpie!
