  1. Isn't that the truth, @Fan of Big Tone. I hope your wife is coping with the medication and is getting closer to being taken care of by the NHS. Knowing that people are well, happy and in good situations is a blessing.
  2. I bet if I were in the UK, all the high street shops would be new to me. When I was last in Nottingham, I didn’t get a chance to go into the city centre. So, I’m not aware of what it’s like these days. I thought this trip down memory lane might interest some of the PON members like @Piethagoram and @super_ram. What shops do you remember and wish were still around?
  3. Good article on Dan Crowley. He sounds like a good asset and of the mould of Matt Palmer: a quality midfielder that gets the others around him into scoring positions.
  4. The key fixtures sound like fans should have a good time. Who we get doesn’t bother me. It’s the results and performances that matter. I think the opening games will give a good sign of the squad’s character.
  5. I understand that this signing might not be as thrilling as the others, but he seems like a player that we can get something out of and I believe the coaching team will help him. It’s interesting that he used to be a defender; I would hope his communication and understanding of defending would help him keep the defence alert.
  6. It’s a very good interview. I really like how David McGoldrick comes across. I know there were some concerns about him signing, but when you speak like David, you don’t need a PR team to win anyone over. Just be yourself, natural and work hard on the pitch. I’m sure he will!
  7. Dan Crowley sounds like a very promising player. He will have his own style, but he shouldn’t worry about what others say or suggest he plays like. If he does well, Notts fans will dub him something; in football, there’s no escaping it. Best wishes to him and his partner on the babies. It sounds like the move happened at the right time for all involved.
  8. Four years of progress, stability, and success under the Reedtz brothers have definitely felt like a dream. They've brought the club back from the brink of disaster and have given us a bright future.
  9. Really impressed with the addition of Dan Crowley. He's a young, talented player who has a real chance to shine at Notts County. Exciting times ahead!
  10. I’m going for Jodi Jones because in the games I watched him play, he seemed well adapted to life in League Two. If he’s only just getting match-fit, then I hope to see him really take the game to the opposition. Plus, from clips I’ve seen of him playing for Malta, he doesn’t seem afraid to play against bigger-named players.
  11. I tried to reflect on this and I think it makes more sense than some are giving it credit for. I think the issue is that the move is out of the blue and quite early into his time at Aberdeen, but they seem keen to take some money for him in order to recoup their loss or at least some of it. It does make sense when you think about it; he will be wanting to get back into the swing of things.
  12. It's a great read @Fan of Big Tone, it's also nice to get an insight into your years of support.
  13. Jodi Jones looks incredible by these highlights; he does have a style akin to himself. It’s very enjoyable to watch. I am looking forward to streaming more games this upcoming season!
  14. This signing feels a lot more important knowing that Ruben Rodrigues has left Notts for pastures new. I think David has the chance to become more than one County’s hero. I think he will prove himself to be a very good addition even though it’s for the short term. The good thing about David McGoldrick signing is that if we need a striker, he can fill that role. If we need someone to cover out wide, while not being the most natural, he can do that too. Yes, I know he’s getting on but I think he and Jim O’Brien can match many of the lads for fitness. Great signing!
  15. Oxford United fans should be happy because Ruben is outstanding. A very good player, one who should excel in League One. Good luck to him.
  16. It’s always sad to see a good player leave, even worse when you look up to them or rate them highly. He’s made a decision to leave based on his own aspirations and it’s hard to allow the sadness to become bitter. Not for a player like Ruben. I have enjoyed watching him play when I have been able to watch games remotely.
  17. Fantastic news! I am pleased that we have managed to retain some experience from last season. We need Aaron Nemane and Kyle Cameron to extend now, but I do agree that Jim has been a workhorse for Notts.
  18. If you had the chance to speak to Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz, the owners of Notts County, what would you say? Would you express your gratitude for their investment in the club and their efforts to improve its performance? Perhaps you would like to know more about their future plans for the team and how they see it developing in the coming years. Alternatively, you might have some suggestions for them on how to improve the club. Maybe you have ideas on how to enhance the matchday experience for fans or how to increase community engagement. Whatever your thoughts, this is an opportunity to share them with the Reedtz brothers and have your voice heard. So, what would you say?
  19. I like Jodi; he’s got that quality about his approach to playing, and the way he thinks before making decisions seems almost instant. I hope he enjoys the three internationals he’s on; if he bags a goal, that would be excellent too.
  20. I can’t say anything about the quality, but I am against players taking big paydays just to make more money, and I dislike leagues that resort to these cheap antics. It’s not a serious, competitive league if you are spending £300m on one player while the rest of their teammates most likely don’t get paid 1% of that.
  21. The home fixtures should bring in some good revenue for the club. As for the away games, they are all nice trips which fans can make the most of their local areas before games. York and Boston especially since they have tourist locations.
  22. I discover articles like this to be helpful as a fan in exile; the content and remarks offer me more excellent knowledge than I would acquire without access to such resources. I recognise that the players mentioned are Chris's individual proposals, and the club may have alternative players under consideration. Despite this, it is a well-written piece and intriguing to theorise about possible signings without delving into the world of rumours.
  23. Hear, hear! It is truly astounding how much endeavour is put into PON. The individuals who volunteer and lend a hand to @Chris are commendable as well. The community progresses by leaps and bounds, particularly when @DangerousSausage and @Piethagoram were ensuring its stability. This resource, for me is of utmost value for Notts, with only the official site surpassing it in significance. Observing the direction it is heading toward is genuinely gratifying.
  24. Yes, I will be putting an equal amount into all the leagues. The main focus will be on League Two, but I will be checking out other clubs.
  25. If guilty, he should be ashamed of it and admit that he did it. I think the chances are quite high that he may have done it, mainly as I see no point why he would not.
