Notts County triumphs over Chesterfield and reclaims title as world’s oldest football league club
I watched the playoff final on an American sports channel that picks up BT Sport’s games in the US. Honestly, I didn’t think Notts would beat Chesterfield who pressed for every ball in the first half. When Notts came into it they looked better but Chesterfield always looked dangerous until it came to taking the pens.

Match Discussion: Play Off Semi-Final - The Wood (H)
Do you see what I mean about Notts always performing best as the underdogs? Boreham Wood made it difficult in the first half but teams can't maintain that level of pressure for 90 minutes. Their mistake was relaxing at half time and not picking up where they left off. It switched them from being the underdogs to Notts because Boreham Wood failed to kill the game completely. It made it more lively. I strongly feel that Luke Williams would have told his side that the game is still winnable in his half time team talk. That early strike by Aden Baldwin turned the game on its head. Pulling level, when Notts' quality increased and Boreham Wood became more focused on defending, meant that Notts had to knock on their door relentlessly. Boreham Wood should have kicked out their antics and pushed for their third after our first. They could have made a real fans of it, but credit to Notts they turned on the class and they choked. The old saying that it's a game of two halves is true. Well done to Luke Williams and the players, they pulled it off and it was great to see the fans flood the pitch after that anxious first half.

Match Discussion: Play Off Semi-Final - The Wood (H)
I'm sorry to start this off in such a way, but I always feel as if Notts do better when they're considered the underdogs. Notts won't be; Boreham Wood are. It's a blessing that it's at home, but just remember that smart teams can sense when fans want blood and hearing comments directed at players for either a simple mistake or whatever is enough to make any opposition team play on it. Notts fans need to do their best to stay positive no matter what. This isn't a roll of the dice but a gamble which is unfair to a squad that has finished 2nd, scored over 100 goals and earned more than 100 points. Remember, nerves can hit anyone no matter what their profession. Stick together and be the 12th person on the pitch. With all this said, I feel my nerves slightly relaxing, but I don't stop feeling like my heart is in my mouth until the game is over. Notts has some very, very classy players at this level and depth that any team could inly dream of having right now in these circumstances. They will do us proud, no matter what.

Macaulay Langstaff and Les Bradd: A Relationship Built on Goals and History
There's no doubt that within Macaulay Langstaff's first season at Meadow Lane, he's rewritten history and etched his name into folklore. For the sake of wanting to keep him a little longer, I would say he's had a fairytale season, but it could become legendary! Provided he signs a brand new 10-year deal and sells any movie rights to his life to me. I'll act as his Hollywood agent.

The Notable Players of Notts County: Who's the Greatest to Ever Don the Black and White?
I think you're right. That's why sites like the Pride of Nottingham do a great job. Jackie Sewell will always be a legend of the game. It was such a sad loss to the footballing world when he passed away.

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Minstermen (H)
I am eagerly anticipating the forthcoming match between Notts County and York City, and I cannot wait to read the post-match comments. As a devoted fan, winning against York is the main objective, and I hope that the team puts on an impressive performance that captivates the crowd. A strong display can generate a feel-good factor that will carry the team into the playoffs. I have been impressed by the efforts of Luke Williams, and I am confident that he will lead the team to victory. With his leadership, along with the hard work and dedication of the entire squad, I am predicting a strong and positive scoreline in Notts County's favour. A 3-0 win.

Join the Journey: as Notts County announces season ticket prices for 2023/24 season
I have considered paying for a season ticket despite living in the US, but I never have because it seems daft and possibly a waste of resources for the club. Instead, I buy merchandise to the tune of twice the amount, just to cover it. After COVID, I even gave some shirts to my neighbors who expressed an interest in UK football. Supporting the club in my own way feels good and I know that my contribution is making a difference.

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
Winning against Maidstone 5-2 was a great accomplishment. Credit must be given to the opposition for getting back into the match. Jim O'Brien played exceptionally well it seems and it's good to see Cedwyn Scott getting on the score sheet. The confidence must be high! In the next game against York City, any signs of nerves need to be cut out to ensure a strong performance.

????Jimmy in the middle, what a superb result! Great job by the team.

Ryan Reynolds: "They deserve to go up. We are rooting for Notts County"
Congratulations to Wrexham on winning the title! Both teams have pushed each other throughout the season and without that close rivalry, it might have been a different story. I also want to passionately and genuinely praise Ryan Reynolds for his kind comments about Notts. It’s great to see such sportsmanship.

Notts County's Luke Williams urges team to push hard in final National League games
I appreciate Williams’ honesty about the team’s focus on improving their performance for the recent game in Kent. It’s good to hear that they’re not making excuses and are pushing for better. It sounds like he got the response he wanted.

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
It sounds like a thrilling match unfolded between Notts and Maidstone United. To read about them coming away with a resounding 5-1 victory must have been a delight for all involved. Goalkeeper Archie Mair, despite making some crucial saves along the way, he didn't quite managed to keep a clean sheet. All in all though, the team demonstrated true grit and determination to earn themselves three points on the road in their last away game of the National League season. The highlight of the evening undoubtedly belongs to Jim O'Brien, bagging himself a rare hat trick. Heading into injury time, he stepped up to take a penalty which sealed his place in the history books alongside the likes of Mark Stallard and Mark Draper. There has been talk of many standout individual displays on show during this encounter. Ruben Rodrigues provided two assists and put in some dangerous crosses, while Cedwyn Scott returned from injury to make an impressive impact up front and set up one of O'Brien's strikes. Notts must keep focused on their final home next weekend.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
This is a fantastic idea. Unfortunately, I can tell that I am too late, but even then I am not sure I would have correctly guessed. There have been a few players who worked in the building trade before making their debut and after retirement.

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
All Notts can do is go out and win. If Wrexham wins the title, then so be it. For that reason, I hope nobody is focusing too much on that result.
-
Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Cardinals (H)
It sounds like the Wrexham defeat played heavily on the players' minds and caused a bit of a setback in play. Usually, I think a goalless first half isn't anything to be disheartened by. You have two teams in close contention with each other, one of which is desperately trying to secure third place. It sounds as if the win became a lot easier after the first goal went in. It sounds like a good win to me!

Is the Multiverse Theory the ultimate answer to life's biggest questions?
Oh, this just sounds like something that people in science speculated on as a joke to see if anyone would buy into it. It has that conspiracy theory feeling, just like the idea that the Earth is flat, the Moon is occupied by aliens, and the Earth is hollow.

Notts County's upcoming play-off run: a look back at the thrilling campaign
As I haven’t been in the best of health and have therefore been unable to give much thought to Notts, this is by far the most useful thing I have read. It’s pretty much a catch-up for exiles like me.

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Red Dragons (A)
From what I saw in the highlights, Notts County's defense looked disconnected and made very poor mistakes that led to all three goals for Wrexham. It didn't seem like Wrexham was a better team, they just handled the occasion better. The most disappointing thing from my perspective is that Notts County threw away a perfectly good lead due to mistakes that could have been avoided. Notts scored two good goals, but Wrexham made them work hard for those goals. Wrexham made the mistake of handling the ball near the end, but they didn't get punished for it. However, Notts County's poor defending only punished themselves.

Where are they now... Zeli Ismail
Was that not Michael Petrasso? As far as I remember, Zeli Ismail scored a couple of penalties, but I don't think he ever played exceptionally well beyond the level he was expected to perform at.

Kyle Cameron and John Bostock shine as Notts County come up short against Wrexham
It's not really a matter of the other team being better, it's more about how they handled the situation and made the most of the support from their home crowd. I watched the highlights and all of the other team's goals made it seem like Notts County couldn't defend well. For example, the first goal was confusing because our player fell down too easily. On the second goal, nobody was guarding the far post and the goalkeeper had no chance when they were left wide open like that. The same player who fell down easily for the first goal also made a mistake for the third goal. Their poor defending was really apparent.
