  1. I have been focusing on taking things slowly. Some may have noticed that I haven’t been on much. That is due to me spending a bit of time in the Florida Keys. It’s one of the most beautiful places I have been to, which is a nice change because I haven’t had many chances to have a vacation. I went to Mexico before with my neighbours in their RV. Health-wise, I still have issues, but I am focusing on living. I won’t go into that. You have more BBQs than Hank Hill. You didn’t formerly work supplying grills and fuel to have them, did you, Mr Tone? How was Skeggy, young man? I take it you had a nice time away with your family. Good luck with Uni, ah? Well, I hope you do well. Don’t get caught up too much in partying.
  2. Thank you for sharing the player ratings. I watched the game and thought we played very well. I was a little disappointed when they scored, and after Chicksen’s goal was deemed offside. I think we stopped attacking the game creatively after that point, and it became more about holding the ball, which led to the mistake that allowed them to score.
  3. People need a reason to boo everything; it’s silly. If you don’t like it, just keep it to yourself. What harm does it do to not acknowledge something you don’t like?
  4. I have been focusing on my weight. I am not large, but I do have a bit of a belly on me. Nothing a few months of walks won’t resolve, but I am still taking things slowly. Good luck to everyone who is trying to reduce their weight or adopt a healthier living approach. It’s best to look after your temple! You only have one, so worship it.
  5. I would say that it’s about scoring as early as possible, as it forces teams to either attack or defend more, which usually leaves space. The fact that Luke Williams has highlighted that Doncaster wanted to pack the defenders and that the goal made all the difference shows just how important it is for Notts to work on finding the net.
  6. He took his goals well against Doncaster, and it’s pleasing to see just how much it means to him. His smile certainly grew bigger with each goal, and the fact that he’s not dwelling on the fact that he went three games without scoring is a positive too. He understands that it’s all about chances and that the perfect opportunities will come. Now that he has found the net, hopefully Langstaff will go on to score plenty more, but no pressure Macaulay!
  7. Hello, @NorthPie. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  8. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Sir Magpie,
  9. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, sorry I missed saying hello! @Kevin May.
  10. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Bryn Roberts. It looks like I missed this one, but wanted to say hello.
  11. I recall his name being discussed among Notts fans as a player they desired for the club, and his track record in Non League appears commendable. Transitioning to Peterborough should ideally have yielded better results in my opinion; if he's struggling to find the net or create opportunities, there might be an issue with his current playing situation. If Wrexham decides to acquire him, that's their prerogative. My primary concern is Notts, and his presence shouldn't be a significant source of concern for us.
  12. I see no room for debate on this matter, at least from my perspective. Even if a referee misuses this approach, its implementation would still deter players from engaging in such conduct. The issue of simulation and other unsportsmanlike tactics needs addressing. When a player rolls around as if he's been severely injured, it's usually a clear indicator that he isn't genuinely hurt. Genuine injuries are often accompanied by restricted movement or visible signs of distress. Most of the time, it's quite apparent who is genuinely injured. Additionally, players should receive cards for making gestures to influence officials into making the same decision.
  13. These photographs are truly captivating. Although I haven't been there myself, it seems like a place where one could become engrossed in the stories and memorials.
  14. Terrific news! Macaualay Langstaff is a skilled player, and while he hasn't yet found the net in League Two, it's only a matter of time. Extending his contract is excellent, and I hope the club extends the same courtesy to other players due for renewals. Langstaff's contract renewal is well-deserved, and his signing pleasantly surprises me.
  15. The issue arises when clubs are willing to shell out exorbitant amounts on transfer fees and salaries, prompting players to gravitate towards those destinations. Consequently, numerous talented individuals miss out on building a more reputable career. In the past, these players might have been disregarded due to the league's standards, but nowadays, names and reputations often take precedence in the eyes of international teams. Personally, I believe those who haven't retired from international duties should be passed over. Opportunities should be given to players motivated by the right reasons, rather than just financial gain. In my opinion, it's not a commendable trait. While I comprehend the inclusion of aging players, it feels inappropriate for those who still have valuable contributions to offer.
  16. Best of luck to the lad out on loan; I'll now keep an eye on Grantham's scores as well. I'm hoping to see him find the back of the net!
  17. This news is distressing; I missed watching the game due to other commitments and couldn't start iFollow in time. I had hoped the absence wouldn't be as long as it's been announced, but the duration suggests a serious situation.
  18. He took ownership of his performance and acknowledged its inadequacy; the first game was a complete surprise, but that's how football goes. A few stumbles or poor games are par for the course with Notts, in my opinion. I feel sympathy for Kyle Cameron, as I've come across comments on the Nottinghamshire Live site and elsewhere that are inexcusable; I'm surprised they haven't been removed.
  19. The idea of live discussions sounds fantastic, and I'd be willing to support PON with donations. While I can't promise regular contributions, I believe offering support a few times a season is a fair way to help.
  20. I'm uncertain about what to anticipate from Doncaster; I've been watching teams' highlights on YouTube. The EFL appears to favor Notts and Wrexham on their League Two channel. I usually check the scores after games and choose to watch the ones that catch my interest. Doncaster's initial struggles provide added motivation to secure a victory. From what I've observed, they don't seem to be performing poorly enough to remain in that position for long. The upcoming match could pose challenges for Notts; however, it's crucial to win, especially with only 4 points from 3 games.
  21. Queens Park Rangers 1-3 Ipswich Town Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Preston North End Cambridge United 0-2 Bristol Rovers Carlisle United 2-0 Exeter City Joker Grimsby Town 2-3 Mansfield Town Sutton United 1-0 AFC Wimbledon Rochdale 0-2 Eastleigh Wealdstone 1-0 AFC Fylde
  22. I seem to recall Nick Fenton joining them after leaving us for the second time in his career.
  23. The coverage has left a positive impression on me; however, it would be even better if Notts could provide a three-camera view for home games. Didn't they implement this during the COVID period? I recall watching several matches that season and noticing varying camera angles.
  24. While watching the match on iFollow, I observed that Dan Crowley didn't have a significant impact in the first half. Although he was involved, his contributions mostly consisted of backward or sideways passes, with only a few skillful deliveries that set Aaron Nemane in motion – although those instances were infrequent. In the initial half, it was Aaron Nemane and David McGoldrick who particularly caught my attention.
  25. I don't believe Richard Brindley can be entirely blamed for not intercepting the ball; he might have reached it, but one would anticipate the goalkeeper to handle such situations more effectively. Aidan Stone's positioning left room for improvement, as did his reaction, although I was impressed by his distribution skills.
