  1. I’m not sure it matters too much who takes over, as long as the focus is on the basics. Montague understood the squad and signed players that fitted both the system and the league. Since he left, there’s been a feeling that we’ve lost that eye for detail. Gagliardi looked like he wanted to roll the dice with loans, which is fine if you’ve got the budget of a Championship side, but we need stability. It doesn’t mean the season is doomed, but it does explain why things have looked uneven so far.

  2. The comparison between the current state of affairs and the Fullarton era really puts things into perspective. It's a reminder of how far we've come and the obstacles we’ve overcome. Yes, the situation isn’t ideal, but turning our dissatisfaction into boos only adds to the pressure on our players. They need us now more than ever. Let’s channel our energies into positive support and help reignite the spirit of Meadow Lane. We’ve weathered storms before; we can do it again together.

  3. What a fantastic blog! I love the optimism and enthusiasm that comes through. Notts County's preseason preparations sound impressive and it's good to see how well the new faces have integrated with the team. The diversity of skills and previous league experience brought in by players like Jones and McGoldrick can only boost the squad's performance. A seven-way tilt at the title isn't just possible, it seems plausible. Let's get ready for a thrilling season and hopefully, back-to-back promotions.
