  1. I wonโ€™t be there in person, but Iโ€™ll be tuning in via the radio, as long as I can get a signal. Iโ€™m hopeful that Notts can progress to the 3rd round without needing a replay. We could do without another match, but the financial boost from a good cup run would be welcome. The next round could heat up if Notts plays their cards right. Shrewsbury will be a tough opponent, but having played them twice already, once in a friendly, we must have picked up some insights.
  2. What a cracking match that was! Our Notts County lads really showed what theyโ€™re made of, didnโ€™t they? Despite Crawleyโ€™s aggressive tactics, our boys didnโ€™t back down. Instead, they stepped up their game, showcasing a strategy full of energy and determination. And letโ€™s not forget those spectacular goals from Jim Oโ€™Brien and Junior, absolutely top-notch! You could really feel the teamโ€™s enthusiasm and joy, which only added to the delight of the win. All in all, it was a brilliant display of football. Well done, lads!
  3. A footballer's career trajectory rarely follows a straightforward path. Jodi Jones and his remarkable journey to playing at Wembley twice in six months is a story filled with resilience, determination, and immense talent. Prior to his arrival at Notts County, Jones faced significant challenges, including a major injury. But with staunch support from friends and family, he managed to overcome this and other obstacles. His journey serves as a testament to what can be achieved when one chooses to never give up. Jones' experience, camaraderie with fellow players, and his connection with fans make him a true gem at Notts. As he continues to develop, we all can't wait for the next stage of his fascinating journey.
  4. The tale of two novembers indeed! How associate 15th November with these monumental moments in our club's history. It's nice to see players taking the stand and making a difference, like Lawton did when he advocated for better pay back in his day. Showing us his integrity along with his outstanding football skills. And then there's Carroll, playing for his club on no sleep, straight after representing his nation. Such dedication is seldom seen and it fills me with respect and admiration for these players.
  5. Wishing Craig Short all the best as he steps in to guide Oxford United. The role he's stepping into is a big mantle to take on, particularly with recent developments. While scepticism may surround this appointment due to past hiccups, it's important to remember that everyone deserves a chance at redemption. Here's to hoping Short can deliver.
  6. Jรฉrรฉmy Balmy.
  7. Every milestone match holds a special place in the hearts of the fans and players alike. As we march towards our 5000th game, it's an emotional moment to revel in our history and look forward to our future. May the 5000th match be a crowning glory in our illustrious course.
  8. Scunthorpe United find themselves in a precarious position, appearing unlikely to secure a victory.
  9. If there are any supporters who fail to recognise the work of Luke Williams, they canโ€™t be considered genuine fans. Those who think that Reedtz doesnโ€™t invest, or desire the managerโ€™s departure after a loss, as occurred following the defeat to Sutton, arenโ€™t truly committed. The dedication that Luke Williams shows in striving for positive outcomes should not be overlooked. He is truly unique.
  10. Hello, welcome to PON. @Middlesex Magpie have fun.
  11. Hello, welcome to PON. @Morten Johansen have fun.
  12. Hello, welcome to PON. @Ryan Raynor have fun.
  13. It wasn't our day, but a sense of reality can go along way towards making you stronger. Look at Sutton, hopefully this will repeat what happened after.
  14. Hello, welcome to PON. @Benji have fun.
  15. Hello, welcome to PON. @Niederbayern Pie have fun.
  16. Jake Kean hasn't been mentioned yet, he played for them too.
  17. If Connell Rawlinson is permitted to voice his thoughts, then no one should be denied the same right. He shared his viewpoint without resorting to abuse or inappropriate behaviour. His comments, while perhaps ill-considered and likely to incite public support, were not offensive. Taking umbrage at such remarks seems rather absurd.
  18. The strategic substitutions proved crucial for the victory. Williams' decisions were spot-on, changing the pace of the game at just the right time. Itโ€™s credit to Notts' resolve and tactical brilliance.
  19. Forest Green might be the underdogs, but Notts have the chance to control the game. They need to stay calm, set the gameโ€™s pace, and create lots of chances. This will keep Forest Green on the defensive. Every Notts player needs to give their all. They should stay alert, focused, and ready to take every chance. With determination and the right mindset, Notts can do well. Football is a mental and physical game. Notts need to trust their skills and play confidently. This can help them control the game and maybe even win. Letโ€™s support Notts as they give their best on the pitch. With the crowd cheering them on, they can achieve great things. Come on, Notts!
  20. The comments from Crowley really drive home how much of an impact philosophy can have on a team's performance. It's not just about individual skill or natural talent, but how well a team can come together to maintain a resilient mindset and a commitment to hard work. These features are indispensable to any successful sports team. Well done, Notts!
  21. Indeed, Notts didnโ€™t want any association with a gang, so they altered the club colours and nickname, subsequently becoming โ€˜The Magpiesโ€™. https://thebeautifulhistory.wordpress.com/clubs/notts-county/
  22. I agree about the careless goals, but they outperformed Notts. It appears as though the door is closed for players vying for positions, which I understand because none of the incoming players excelled, but I do wonder if Luke Williams anticipated this when he fielded a very Jekyll and Hyde starting 11. There was talent, but inexperience compounded the difficulty, as did failing to regroup after Wolves scored the opening goal.
  23. The new signing is average; he should possess the quality for League Two, but I donโ€™t anticipate him making a significant impact. Heโ€™s certainly no David McGoldrick.
  24. Iโ€™m unsure if thereโ€™s a hint of irony in the comment, as I find it hard to take it seriously. Otherwise, Iโ€™d suggest it was penned in a fit of pique because the author felt Notts were obliged to win the match. Football doesnโ€™t operate like that, and Iโ€™m certain Luke Williams doesnโ€™t despise cup competitions. If that belief is held, itโ€™s simply a nonsensical viewpoint.
  25. Watching Kyle Cameron improve over the matches, along with the team has been inspiring. His goal was a sign of his exceptional skill and was instrumental in bringing Notts towards the top. The road is difficult, but with players like him on our side, reaching the top isn't far from possible. He is setting an example for ambitious players aiming to make their mark. Keep rising, Kyle, the Notts County family is behind you.
