  1. As for Connell Rawlinson, I concur with those who acknowledge his shortcomings without holding them against him. We’re aware of his weaknesses and understand that he will occasionally falter. However, over the season, he will get more right than wrong, and it’s up to Williams to keep the errors to a minimum. Even the MK Dons manager recognises that every player makes mistakes and encourages moving on from them.
  2. I must admit, I stopped reading the article after the first paragraph. Perhaps I would have read further had I not skimmed the comments first, but politically, the article falls short.
  3. The painting is lovely, and it’s great to see Meadow Lane featured in his gallery. The club certainly made the right decision in allowing him to do so.
  4. Hello, welcome to the community here @JOHN BOND.
  5. A few years from now, he might be seen playing for a local Home Bargains store. I’ve always felt his name seems computer-generated.
  6. Crowley’s openness about his time at Notts County is encouraging. His genuine enthusiasm for his teammates and the club’s atmosphere highlights their unity and ambition. Success in football hinges on team rapport, and Crowley’s respect for his teammates embodies this. His recognition of individual players’ contributions to his performance provides insight into the team’s dynamics. It underscores the importance of individual talent and collaboration within the team - a proven recipe for success. The club’s future looks promising, as it values teamwork over individualism.
  7. Ruben Rodrigues, while a very good player, wasn’t perfect even in the National League, but he has the ability to influence any game even when his own performances leave room for improvement. He’s what you get. Oxford United fans either have to lower their expectations or understand that he needs time. Some of the comments on their forum make you wonder if they had seen him play for us or even knew they signed him on a free transfer.
  8. The attendances at Meadow Lane have been impressive. I like what the club does for match days. Everything seems much more packaged, and long gone are the days of fans complaining about half-time being boring. Good effort overall; it deserves to be rewarded with higher gates.
  9. MK Dons looked vulnerable in the second half, and Notts did plenty to win the game. They had a few chances that could have turned the tables on us, but overall, I don’t think anyone can complain about the draw without acknowledging that it was a fair result. I don’t think either team did enough to win despite Notts performing better overall in the 90 minutes. We should accept the draw and then hopefully go back to winning.
  10. Neal Bishop will have his reasons; personally, I admire him for taking on the responsibility of managing a team. He was a leader on the pitch, but he may have more employment success in coaching.
  11. Adam Chicksen should be more up to speed, but it really depends on the quality that Will Randall brings to the team. It could be a number of players who get the start. Luke Williams may look to play Jim O’Brien out wide for the experience factor. Personally, I think Chicksen would suit the change just fine.
  12. It’s impressive to read that Notts are in good form right now, and I hope it continues.
  13. Despite their injuries, MK Dons still have the potential to bounce back. But we Notts fans know that our team is more than capable of putting their resilience to the test. It’s going to be exciting to see how our boys, the Coins, handle the opposition’s attempts at redemption and what tactics Notts will use to keep our top spot. As we build up to the match, watching these two contrasting styles of play go head-to-head is going to be a real treat for all of us.
  14. Luke’s wise words on staying focused and not getting carried away, despite being top of the league, is worth commending. This approach will prove vital in maintaining the squad's momentum.
  15. This is a very important reminder! We can celebrate even more if we remain at the top after this weekend.
  16. Ian Burchnall should fare better within the English game. It was strange seeing him pitch-side with Anderlecht in some of their televised games.
  17. Tsimanga is an odd player because he appears to be of high quality, but he never performed well against Notts. He was injured for Chesterfield and his previous team when he played against us, if I remember correctly. Fleetwood really needs to make the most of the loan move.
  18. MK Dons will likely feel the same as us, that it will be a challenging game. I have read that they have three players on international duty. I cannot confirm if this is true as I do not know much about them, but if it is, then fair play to them for not requesting for the game to be rearranged. This demonstrates a level of commitment to the league, their fans, and their desire to perform well. I would imagine that their decision may have been different if their form was poorer or if they had more players out. Nevertheless, their decision still deserves recognition. Hopefully, Notts will perform well.
  19. Welcome to the PON site and forum. Hello from me too @Banquo.
  20. Hello, @Corinthian88. Stick around and we'll make Notts your 2nd club or at least 2nd English club. Welcome to the community!
  21. Good luck; I hope Tyrell Waite does well with his home club.
  22. It’s good to see Notts at the top of League Two; there’s real potential that from here we can crack on. Though, I am tired of seeing fans comparing us to Wrexham. Their style suited Non-League; it doesn’t suit League Two as much as it did. They need to adapt; ours just needed fine-tuning and time to see the squad settle. There’s no doubt Notts was the best in the NL, and we can be in L2.
  23. The signing isn’t one that leaves me speechless, which shows how spoilt we have been in recent seasons with the way the recruitment works. I have to say, be happy and hope the lad proves himself. He won’t be here wanting to have a picnic; he will want to play, and that should make him work hard. The question is, will Luke have faith in the two young loanees outside of cup games?
  24. It makes me smile to see just how well Notts played. I have noted that fans are complaining less about the mistakes, some of which are valid points. Aidan Stone made several, but I do not see much criticism given to him about it, which is good. I do think it shows the difference between him and Sam Slocombe, who couldn’t do anything right in some people’s eyes. Both are so different from each other, but I still believe Slocombe has a role to play. Stone is also coming along in leaps and bounds, but I do wish he wouldn’t be so sloppy at times.
