  1. It is great to see the Reedtz brothers and Notts working to bring more of the club’s history into Meadow Lane. This matters because we often take seasons for granted, especially when the team is doing well on the pitch. I hope fans who own memorabilia will be willing to loan those special items to the club at no cost.

There are many collectors who hold winning medals and historic keepsakes that deserve to be shared with everyone.

  2. Fans talk about promotion a lot, and that is fair. Yet the best route is to build a team that can stay competitive in League One. The coaching staff has earned time to mature the squad, and the owners appear to have faith in this project. Notts are not there yet, but the process is clear: smarter recruitment, steady development, and a sense of unity across staff, players, and fans. If we keep this course, not only will the club rise in the table, we will have a healthier club for years to come.

  3. I am not too bothered about the fans forum. I do not think we will learn much from it, and they often turn into long drawn out events. If you and your mates go along, it can be more enjoyable, but as an event it is not something I find very interesting. I would rather leave it to fans who want to be there.

  4. This is very good news because it shows again the work the club have done to make things sustainable. By clearing the debt, it means we are now in the best financial position we have been in for years. It is a clear step forward, and I do not think the Reedtz would have done this if they felt more heavy investment was still needed from them. That does not mean they will not put in more of their own money, but it does show they are aiming to make the club stand on its own feet. They want the club to use its own resources well, which should leave us much healthier in the long run.

  5. It helped a lot that Rod McDonald was playing well before Matty Platt got injured. It made the situation feel less worrying. Platt hadn’t been showing the form we know he’s capable of. When he does come back, there should be less pressure on him to perform straight away.

Right now, there’s no reason to take McDonald out of the team. It’s good to see him looking so comfortable in his position.

  6. @Robbie, I reckon the fourth one is your lie. It just seems the least likely out of the bunch.

Now we just need to wait for WRM to share his. I’m curious to see what he comes up with. This is quite fun. I enjoy seeing what people choose and trying to guess which one isn’t true. It’s a good way to learn more about each other.

  7. I'm going to guess that the correct answer is number 3, that you made Ken Dodd laugh.

    Here are my five facts.

    1. I went to school with Mark Draper when he lived in Long Eaton.

    2. I was once on the youth team books at Notts.

    3. Jimmy Sirrel once came to my school and read the children's book "Gorilla" by Anthony Browne.

    4. I once painted and decorated Phil Turner's house for free after losing a bet.

    5. The most famous footballer I have ever met was Alan Shearer.

  8. There must be some truth in the story, or it wouldn’t have lasted so long. Over time, it’s likely changed a bit, like a game of Chinese whispers, with people adding their own bits to it.

Still, it’s something Nottingham should be proud of. It’s part of our history and worth sharing to help bring in visitors and celebrate what makes the city special.

  9. I don’t get why we’re sticking with just three options up front. Mai Traore looked more comfortable in attacking midfield than he did as a striker.

Away to AFC Wimbledon, he didn’t seem switched on at all. He was walking about like it was his first game. If Alassana Jatta had been fit, I think we’d have had a real chance of taking it to penalties.

We definitely need another striker. There’s not enough depth up top.
