Jatta interview, FLP
I really like how Jatta has settled into the team. Heβs not the flashiest player, but his work rate is outstanding, and thatβs something fans really appreciate. His runs off the ball are clever, and they pull defenders out of position, creating gaps for our other attacking players. Itβs clear that the coaching staff see his potential, as heβs been trusted in key games this season. My only concern is whether he can keep improving his finishing. A few more goals would really cement his place in the side. That said, I love his attitude and the energy he brings to matches.

Where are they now: Alan Judge
Alan Judge was a standout player for us during a time when we didnβt have many consistent stars. His technical ability was top-notch, and he had that spark you look for in attacking players. I always thought he had the potential to play in the Premier League, and itβs a shame injuries prevented that. Despite his bad luck, he managed to have a decent career, especially at Brentford, where he was outstanding before his leg break. Itβs sad to think about what might have been, but itβs also important to celebrate what he achieved.

Winter matches do you enjoy them?
For me, it depends on the games more than on winter. You can combat the cold by dressing warmly and spending time in places where you can stay warmer. I enjoy watching football throughout the months it's played. Each period, where the weather changes, offers something different. The only time winter becomes tough is when Notts aren't doing well. That's a true test of support, but I would always be there, even in the worst conditions.

Stuart Maynard Hails Notts County's Mental Toughness in 1-1 Barrow Battle
I think we all saw the first half was below our usual standard, but the important thing is that the team didnβt collapse. Maynardβs changes, especially bringing Brown on, were spot on. We started to create more chances and, in the second half, it felt like we were more in control. McGoldrick showed nerves of steel with that penalty. Taking three in a row canβt be easy, especially when keepers are doing their homework, but he delivered again. Tsaroulla was excellent on the left, and itβs great to see we can rely on different players in tough moments. A good point on the road and now onto Harrogate!

Stuart Maynard Hails Grit After Notts County's Hard-Fought 1-0 Win Over AFC Wimbledon
It wasnβt the prettiest game, but I agree with Maynard, sometimes youβve got to win ugly. AFC Wimbledon didnβt make it easy for us to play our usual game, but the lads showed real determination. The clean sheet is massive for us, especially given how tight the game was. Maynardβs comments about set-pieces being crucial were spot on. Craigβs work with the team really paid off today with Plattβs goal. Bassi was solid as ever at the back, keeping us calm under pressure. Weβll need to keep up this kind of defensive resilience for the rest of the season if we want to stay near the top of the table.

βA Tough Game, but We Deserved Itβ β Matty Platt on the 1-0 Win Over AFC Wimbledon
It was a tough game to watch at times, especially in the first half where we didnβt create many chances. But what I loved was how Matty and the backline kept things tight and stayed composed. Plattβs goal was the turning point, and I think it just shows how much heβs growing into his role. The fact that we kept the clean sheet as well just makes this win even more satisfying.

Rod McDonald: 'Iβm Ready to Make My Mark at Notts County After Injury Setback'
Itβs been a long wait for McDonald to get back to full fitness, but Iβm excited to see him make his league debut. His experience is exactly what our defence needs, especially after some tough matches recently. The fact that heβs had the support of the gaffer and teammates is brilliant too, just shows how strong the unity is within the squad. His presence on the field will bring us that calm and stability weβve needed at times. Letβs hope he can help us keep a clean sheet against AFC Wimbledon. Itβs not going to be an easy game, but Iβm optimistic with him in the team.

Who is your Man of the match v Chesterfield?
The moment we can see Kellan Gordon play consecutive 90-minute games, the better we will see him perform. I think his performance was very good and perhaps he shouldn't have been taken off. He made Chesterfield work hard. Rotation is useful, but when you have a player like Gordon proving tricky, you want to see them cause more trouble. He gets my vote.

The Notts Transformation Under Stuart Maynard
I think Stuart Maynard has done well with what he has control over. However, the early injuries and the squad's size have been difficult for us. The performances were improving steadily early on, but since Gillingham, they've been inconsistent. It's a good test of his ability to see how he manages to regain form. I'm not expecting Notts to win the league, but losing home games, inconsistent performances, and injuries are real tests for him. Losing Jodi Jones is out of his control, but Kellan Gordon should help fill that void. He needs to talk to the owners in January and encourage them to add more depth. A striker would help a lot, but how we rotate, bring in players, and pick up vital points will determine the transition's success. Early signs were promising, but if teams see we struggle with absences or if we get more injuries, it could be costly.

Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Spireites (A)
We can create our own problems at times. I think both teams performed very well. I feel happier with our performance, despite Chesterfield looking likely to win until the penalty and disallowed goal. Their fans are unhappy with the penalty, but it makes you wonder if they realize that Jatta's effort would have counted had the handball and penalty not been awarded. Did their player get a yellow card for that? I couldnβt tell, but I thought Notts did well in most parts of the game. I would like to see us avoid playing ourselves into trouble. Teams press and put pressure on us, which forces mistakes. The defending for both goals should have perhaps been better.

Match Report: McGoldrickβs Last-Minute Heroics Secure Dramatic Draw for Notts in Derby Thriller
Canβt fault the lads for effort, but sometimes we lack that clinical edge to put games to bed. Chesterfield was always going to be a tough match, but we actually looked the better side for much of it. We had the chances and probably deserved at least a draw, but football doesnβt always work that way. Itβs games like these where we miss someone who can just break through and score with half a chance. The fans were brilliant, and Iβm sure the players appreciated that. Letβs take this as a lesson and move on to the next one.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Valiants (H)
It shows how we've adapted and balanced, going from being strong in attack last season to being defensively solid this season. However, we still need that extra bit of quality in important games like this one. I hope we can improve in January. We have goals and a good squad, but we fall short when the quality is needed most.

Stuart Maynard Laments Offside Decision in Port Valeβs Decisive Goal Against Notts County
Despite the loss, Iβm encouraged by the playersβ resilience. Our defence did well to limit further damage after the initial goal. The lack of goals is worrying, given our attacking talent, and it's critical we address this quickly. Maynardβs faith in the team is clear, but the team needs to reward that trust by executing more decisively on the pitch. Injuries are a part of the sport, but the frequency has been unfortunate. The lads adjusting and showing grit in games like this bodes well for our future challenges. Chesterfield is an opportunity to showcase that fighting spirit and turn outcomes in our favour.

Match Preview: Can Notts County Maintain Momentum Against In-Form Port Vale?
Iβm feeling confident, but Port Valeβs unbeaten run canβt be overlooked. Their midfield looks strong, and Garrityβs leadership will be crucial for them. That said, if we can control the game from the middle with Crowley pulling the strings and Jatta up top, weβll have a solid chance. The lads showed resilience against Carlisle, and I think that spirit will carry us through. Set pieces will be key for both teams, so weβve got to stay sharp defensively, especially with their threat from Stockley. A tough match ahead, but itβs one we can definitely win if we stay disciplined.

Super Sam Austin
Heβs a vastly underrated player who brings plenty of energy and hard work, and he can score too. I donβt understand why some fans are turning against him. Heβs a good player and very useful when we need cover. In his proper position, he can really shine.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Valiants (H)
Itβs going to be a great game, with returning players and a fantastic crowd. Meadow Lane will be full of energy. If Notts can deliver a strong performance, it could spark even more optimism and support for Stuart Maynard.

September's Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
It could have been anyone, but well done to Jodi Jones. The votes from Notts fans have chosen wisely, so congratulations to him!
