  1. I'm relatively new to this forum, but the warmth and support shown to @Piethagoram make me proud to be part of this community. It's rare to find a place online where people genuinely care for each other's wellbeing. Piethagoram, though we haven't interacted much, I'm wishing you a speedy recovery and hope to see your posts soon. The site isn't complete without you.
  2. Great vlog, the comments on the match were fair. Naturally, you’d be pleased.
  3. We’re short of strategies in the midfield, hence everything has to be routed through the wings. Stuart Maynard’s first game was commendable, but I would have liked to see us attempt to convert the draw into a win earlier. By the time we made changes, it left little time for Sam Austin to participate as he had to coordinate with Aaron Nemane or Jodi Jones, instead of focusing on the centre.
  4. The tickets will sell out rapidly. I wish the club would take more measures to prevent people from buying an excessive number of tickets just so their occasional friends can get one. This would make it easier for regular attendees of home and away games to secure tickets.
  5. In my opinion, it was a red card offence. But nothing will change now, and I doubt Notts will raise any objections. The tackle wasn’t good, and at some point, Luca Stephenson might find himself on the receiving end of such a challenge. That’s what you call karma.
  6. I completely support Stuart Maynard. I don’t understand why some fans can’t reserve their judgement and give a manager a fair chance with a series of games before criticising his lack of experience. Just like Luke Williams was still learning about management, it will be the same for Maynard. I think he did quite well in his first game against Barrow. We didn’t just play defensively, but made changes to enhance our attacking play. All we needed was that second goal. So far, the signs are promising.
  7. Stuart Maynard exudes a level of calm and preparedness that's been missing. It's not just about tactics and training under him, it's about building a winning mentality. This attention to both the physical and mental aspects of the game could be the difference-maker. It seems like there's real a game plan being instilled, and with the extra prep time, I'm betting we'll see immediate results. Can't wait to see the Maynard effect in action.
  8. Really promising development with Warner joining Notts. His experience at a Championship level points to his quality and the fact that he is only 21 suggests there's plenty of room for growth. It's a testament to our club's growing reputation for developing young talent that a player of his calibre has chosen us. Can't wait to see him bring stability and a new dimension to our defence.
  9. I lead a very active life, working on my feet, so I don't really exercise. I've been a member of a nearby gym, but you get caught up with life and end up paying the fees for nothing.
  10. Great choice, I don't mind if he's coming from a semi-pro level. However, he has a lot at stake as he's giving up his full-time job to manage us. That's a risky commitment, especially if fans don't support him for long enough. Nevertheless, Stuart Maynard should be okay. Many fans will want him to do well and will support him as any loyal fan should.
  11. Sadly, it's been happening and there's only so much you can do before you have to accept destiny. They needed an owner who could afford to keep the level of players but with an understanding of how to run a business. It's very sad, but if you can't function beyond being a football team, you are bound to face difficulties.
  12. Love Jim's approach. Keeping the ship steady is just what we need right now. Bring on Saturday!
  13. Solid interview from Cameron. It's good seeing a captain who steps up and keeps his eye on the ball, literally. The team's unity will be our turning point this season.
  14. A commendable charity, one I wasn’t aware of, but it does some fantastic work in the community.
  15. It’s about time for such a minor change, it’s nice to see the club taking the initiative to make improvements.
  16. I understand, considering all the discussions and outcomes. The timing? It might have been improved, their owner could have given him more time, but football is about achieving the right results.
  17. Welcome, @StanfordPie. It's good to see you on PON.
  18. Hello, @Robbie__64. Welcome to the site. It's good to see you have settled in well.
  19. Hello, @Morten Johansen. Welcome to the site.
  20. Looking back, it’s clear how much progress we’ve made. It’s vital to curb the pessimism to make the most of the start Notts has had. The players need our support, so let’s cheer them on. Expecting consecutive promotions is challenging, but if there’s a way we can assist, we should certainly try.
  21. Recruitment will play a crucial role in keeping our season on track, and as fans, we can contribute too. Let’s halt the negativity and focus on the positives. It’s okay to discuss past events, but we also need to look at the brighter side. We’ve made our way back to the EFL and are aiming for League One. Let’s take it one step at a time.
  22. There's no denying that our upcoming match against Stockport will be a tough one. However, I'm confident that Notts possesses the capability to leave a lasting impression. Our recent performances haven't been up to par, making it all the more important for us to respond with determination and speed. We must capitalise on our strong points, draw lessons from our previous matches, and strive for a powerful display. In light of our current form, securing a draw would be a noteworthy achievement. It would not only put an end to our recent downturn but also uplift the team's spirit. It's essential to remember that each match presents a fresh chance to improve. With a positive attitude, we have the power to alter our course. So, let's remain optimistic and anticipate the best outcome.
  23. Facing Stockport will undoubtedly be a challenge, but I firmly believe that Notts has the potential to make a significant impact. Given our recent form, it’s crucial that we react positively and swiftly. We need to harness our strengths, learn from our past games, and put forth a robust performance. A draw, in this context, would be a commendable outcome. It would not only halt our recent slump but also boost the team’s morale. Remember, every game is a new opportunity, and with the right mindset, we can turn things around. Let’s keep our spirits high and hope for the best.
  24. It's impressive to see how Notts County's administration is prioritising the development of its youth players. Treating each player uniquely and assigning tailor-made training catering to their individual strengths is a commendable approach. I hope to see more such players like James Sanderson making a mark.
