  1. I’d be taken aback if Millwall signed him just to have him on their bench, as they’re in need of a player who can score goals. All they need to do is figure out how to bring out the best in him. For us, he was a prolific scorer, and we knew exactly how to get him into positions where he could score. We shouldn’t underestimate Macaulay Langstaff’s value; he should have a few successful seasons with them. While I doubt he’ll play at a higher level, he could become a hero for them, just as he was for us.
  2. Lucien Mahovo's transfer to Norwich City is a noteworthy development. At just 19, he's already garnered attention in higher divisions, which speaks volumes about his talent and dedication. Notts County has played a crucial role in his growth, and their pride in his achievements is entirely justified. Moving from a club like Notts to Norwich, which boasts better facilities and competitive football, will be a great experience for him. This move highlights the importance of academies in shaping young players. Notts County can take pride in having nurtured Lucien to this point. On the flip side, it's a brilliant opportunity for Lucien to prove his mettle at a higher level. If Norwich City can offer him enough game time, I believe he can develop into a prominent player in English football. Looking forward to seeing his progress!
  3. Connell Rawlinson, who is leaving the club, has chosen his words well. He sends out a positive message about his time here. When Stuart Maynard arrived, Rawlinson seemed to be largely left out of the squad. It appeared that this was likely to happen. His departure, though expected, leaves a lasting impression. His positivity will be remembered.
  4. The new site is great! I hope the intrusive ads don’t make a comeback because they made reading articles a nuisance before. Now everything seems much more refined. I don’t mind ads, but the club needs to place them in areas that don’t disrupt the content.
  5. Hello, welcome @BiggestPieInGlasgow. Enjoy the site.
  6. How does the photograph confirm anything? Let me pose the question differently. Where is Will Evans in that image? Is he concealing himself in the manhole? I’m uncertain about what to make of it.
  7. At this stage, unless the potential signings were major arrivals, I’d be quite content to see how things progress. We need to offload Connell Rawlinson, Will Randall, and Aidan Stone before making any more decisions. The only exception is if it’s a quality player, then I get it, but we don’t need any more squad players.
  8. Matt Palmer represents the very essence of resilience and perseverance. Despite facing significant challenges with his injury, his spirits never wavered. It’s impressive to see how he turned his personal milestone in New York into a motivational boost for his professional life. His new role as vice-captain signifies the club’s confidence in his abilities. Palmer’s journey is an inspiring read for anyone who loves football and values the spirit of never giving up.
  9. Having someone like Alex Bass join Notts County is exactly what we needed! His tenure at AFC Wimbledon demonstrated his skill, and his near-win of the Golden Glove, even with that unlucky injury, proves his calibre. His interview was genuinely insightful, highlighting his professional journey and his excitement about what lies ahead. It's clear Bass sees the potential in our club and is ready to help us climb the leagues. Can't wait to see him defend our goalposts this season.
  10. I'm relatively new to this forum, but the warmth and support shown to @Piethagoram make me proud to be part of this community. It's rare to find a place online where people genuinely care for each other's wellbeing. Piethagoram, though we haven't interacted much, I'm wishing you a speedy recovery and hope to see your posts soon. The site isn't complete without you.
  11. Great vlog, the comments on the match were fair. Naturally, you’d be pleased.
  12. We’re short of strategies in the midfield, hence everything has to be routed through the wings. Stuart Maynard’s first game was commendable, but I would have liked to see us attempt to convert the draw into a win earlier. By the time we made changes, it left little time for Sam Austin to participate as he had to coordinate with Aaron Nemane or Jodi Jones, instead of focusing on the centre.
  13. The tickets will sell out rapidly. I wish the club would take more measures to prevent people from buying an excessive number of tickets just so their occasional friends can get one. This would make it easier for regular attendees of home and away games to secure tickets.
  14. In my opinion, it was a red card offence. But nothing will change now, and I doubt Notts will raise any objections. The tackle wasn’t good, and at some point, Luca Stephenson might find himself on the receiving end of such a challenge. That’s what you call karma.
  15. I completely support Stuart Maynard. I don’t understand why some fans can’t reserve their judgement and give a manager a fair chance with a series of games before criticising his lack of experience. Just like Luke Williams was still learning about management, it will be the same for Maynard. I think he did quite well in his first game against Barrow. We didn’t just play defensively, but made changes to enhance our attacking play. All we needed was that second goal. So far, the signs are promising.
  16. Stuart Maynard exudes a level of calm and preparedness that's been missing. It's not just about tactics and training under him, it's about building a winning mentality. This attention to both the physical and mental aspects of the game could be the difference-maker. It seems like there's real a game plan being instilled, and with the extra prep time, I'm betting we'll see immediate results. Can't wait to see the Maynard effect in action.
  17. Really promising development with Warner joining Notts. His experience at a Championship level points to his quality and the fact that he is only 21 suggests there's plenty of room for growth. It's a testament to our club's growing reputation for developing young talent that a player of his calibre has chosen us. Can't wait to see him bring stability and a new dimension to our defence.
  18. I lead a very active life, working on my feet, so I don't really exercise. I've been a member of a nearby gym, but you get caught up with life and end up paying the fees for nothing.
  19. Great choice, I don't mind if he's coming from a semi-pro level. However, he has a lot at stake as he's giving up his full-time job to manage us. That's a risky commitment, especially if fans don't support him for long enough. Nevertheless, Stuart Maynard should be okay. Many fans will want him to do well and will support him as any loyal fan should.
  20. Sadly, it's been happening and there's only so much you can do before you have to accept destiny. They needed an owner who could afford to keep the level of players but with an understanding of how to run a business. It's very sad, but if you can't function beyond being a football team, you are bound to face difficulties.
  21. Love Jim's approach. Keeping the ship steady is just what we need right now. Bring on Saturday!
  22. Solid interview from Cameron. It's good seeing a captain who steps up and keeps his eye on the ball, literally. The team's unity will be our turning point this season.
  23. A commendable charity, one I wasn’t aware of, but it does some fantastic work in the community.
  24. It’s about time for such a minor change, it’s nice to see the club taking the initiative to make improvements.
  25. I understand, considering all the discussions and outcomes. The timing? It might have been improved, their owner could have given him more time, but football is about achieving the right results.
