I thought Platt & Roos were massive today including the back line & central midfielders plus three substitutes that helped change the game in Notts favour, Dennis, Kouhyar & Ness. The team had to survive for over an hour with 10 men against an inspired Bristol R. But I am giving credit where credit is due to Kelle Roos who deserves my Man of the Match rating. I hope it inspires him to similar performances during this tough December.

The winning goal and what about that celebration?

I'm very pleased we won, but if we are honest we didn't deserve to. Winning when you play far below your best could be vital at the end of the season. Winning when down to ten man is another big plus. Platt came back and played very well. Roos did well this game but he has to play consistently at the same level every game & time will tell if he can do that. Nice to see the subs coming on & changing a game once again. A tough December awaits. Beating a side like Bristol R who have lost 7 on the spin is welcome, but Notts have to be at their best against MK Dons in the next game at ML because MK will be different animal completely.

League 2 Table after match 18. Notts are back up to fourth place.

A smash & grab plus a character building win for a ten man Notts today against a spirited Rovers side that hit the woodwork three times. So who's your PON Man of the Match for Notts today? The players I have chosen for you to make your choice are as follows. Roos, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Iorpenda, Robertson, Bennetts, Grant, Jatta, Ness, Dennis, Kouhyar. I haven't included Hall today.

Update.A win for 10 man Notts.

Goalless at the Break.Mark Stallard: 'Not a lot from Notts in a positive sense. Hall went sliding in and Notts are down to 10, Bristol Rovers have hit the post twice as well.'

Need to go 4-4-1

Kick off. COYP.

Personally I think that this Notts selection is dissapointing. I hope I'm proved wrong, but against a side that has lost seven league games in a row, & Notts not playing two strikers from the get go, but just playing one with two on the bench, strikes me as being very negative. As I said, I hope I'm proved wrong & Jatta gets a hat trick today.

The Notts team to face Bristol Rovers.

To be fair @piedestrian Notts have invested in players that have had past injury records. Jodi & Lucas being two of them. The Club may decide to recruit the services of a player that has had a past injury record, but It's always a risk when a club does that This latest Knee injury for Palmer, it's not clear if it's the same knee that caused him to miss most of the 23/24 season, but if it is, that will be a concern

@Fan of Big Tone We've seen Roos in action & a lot of the time he has been poor. It doesn't say much for Griffiths either if he can't force himself into the side. I don't blame the players fully for the goalkeeping problems, that's down to the recruiters & the fact that the best goalkeeper in the league was sold for profit.
