"Notts don't have to play well to win anymore"
An excellent podcast from Paul Mace this morning. It's well worth a viewing. He discusses an excellent point made by a supporter that Notts don't have to play well to win anymore. "Winning ugly" is better than playing great football but still losing. Wimbledon, Bradford, & Port Vale won promotion by playing ugly & they got promoted but Notts didn't. Do PON members think that getting a win is more important than playing well & dominating possession but failing to win. Has there been a subtle change in the Notts footballing philosophy under Martin Paterson? Do you all think a change such as this can be successful & would you welcome it.

Yeovil Town v York City
I still can't help but feel that if Stuart Maynard could have been given the support that Martin Paterson now enjoys re coaching staff & Technical Board he would have been ok at Notts. The players liked him & it could have been possible that Didzy might have stayed if Maynard was still Head Coach. Just a three or four quality additions might have made a big difference for Stuart this season.

Football Regulator
@Piethagoram Good luck in putting foreign owners in prison such as those from the middle East & United States. I doubt that they would be extradited due to geopolitical reasons. A massive fine or debarment would probably be the only punishment for many international owners.

I'm pleased that we won. It is great for the team that they achieved their first league 2 clean sheet of the season. Notts weren't at their absolute best. Fleetwood didn't allow them to, but Notts got the win by a bit of quality that all teams hoping for success must have in their locker. I'm pleased for Goalkeeper Roos too who's rightfully has had lots of stick for his performances this season, but he was a part of the defensive unit that kept Fleetwood out, & tonight he should sleep a little better.- Where are they now : Curtis Edwards
I wish him.luck at Gateshead. I think he will feature well at that level. I'll keep an eye on him this season.- Who's your Man of the Match v Fleetwood?
For me I thought that McDonald did well, so did Bedeau, Norburn had a good game & Iorpenda proved he's a good option just behind the strikers. Dennis took his chance well which shows he has an eye for goal. Getting a clean sheet is important & I think that McDonald deserves my vote for Man of the Match this time.- Squad Registration
Notts have named their squad for registration purposes. Big surprise is the omission of Jack Hinchy who looks like he's going on loan. Here is the Notts statement. "We have submitted our list of registered players to the EFL". "Clubs are required to confirm a maximum of 22 outfield players aged 21 or over who are eligible to play in League Two until January 2026.The submitted list is as follows: Jacob Bedeau, Keanan Bennetts, Barry Cotter, Matthew Dennis, Kellan Gordon, Conor Grant, Will Jarvis, Alassana Jatta, Jodi Jones, Maz Kouhyar, Lewis Macari, Rod McDonald, Lucas Ness, Ollie Norburn, Matt Palmer, Matty Platt, Scott Robertson, Mai Traore and Nick Tsaroulla. Kameron Muir has also been registered as our club-developed player. Jack Hinchy is the only senior player omitted, with the club currently seeking a loan move to support his development". What are your thoughts PON members.- Match Discussion: League Two - Fleetwood Town (A)

GOOOOOAAAAAL DENNIS Full time. The unbeaten run continues.- Who's your Man of the Match v Fleetwood?
A 2nd successive win for Notts against a tough Fleetwood side at ML today. Hit man Dennis adds to his goal tally early in the 2nd half that proved to be the difference between the two sides. Martin Paterson will be happy with the clean sheet too, the first of the season & he will be happy that Notts saw out the game without conceding a late goal. So who's your PON Man of the Match today. I have chosen the Notts players who started the game for you to make your choice. Those players are. Roos, Aljofree, McDonald, Bedeau, Gordon, Norburn, Palmer, Tsaroula, Iorpenda, Jatta, Dennis.- Connections game
