Notts Women meet Worcester City at Coronation Park Eastwood on Sunday 12th Oct at 2pm.

It's been a strange Saturday with Notts not having a game today. I've been keeping up with my local team. My closest team is AFC Mansfield who play in the United Counties League Premier Div North, tier 9 of the football pyramid. They were playing at Hucknall Town but lost 0:2. That leaves them third from bottom of their league with 11 points. They need to improve. I'm pleased that some of Notts rivals lost their matches today & some could only manage a draw, so it leaves Notts still lying three points off a playoff spot.

Conor Grant gets poor vibes for his lack of scoring but he does get into good positions to have a chance of scoring. That tells me that he does have a good football brain. Palmer, Robertson & Iorpenda don't score many but their presence & link up play leads to the front players getting chances the score. So as you say @True Magpie it's not all about pointing fingers about certain players not scoring, it's about players getting into good positions & players creating chances for others. If Notts keep creating chances the goals will come

League 2 Table after 11th Oct games. From 1 to 17.Excluding Oldham v Barrow 17:30 kick off.

League 2 results, Sat 11th Oct.Grimsby, Salford & Crewe lostGillingham & Walsall drewMK Dons & Chesterfield won

I think that Notts have been fortunate to get the services of Iorpenda, Luker & Hall on loan. They are very good young prospects & I'm sure they are going to have very good football careers. There is no doubt that team performance is improving & I'm sure those three players are going to have a big part to play during the rest of the season. Martin Paterson seems to have confidence in their abilities.

Seeing that there is no match this weekend & no Man of the Match poll, I thought it would be interesting to see the views of the PON members after eleven games of the season. So where do you think Notts will finish this season after we've been seeing an improvement in performance and results during the last several games? Please vote your choice on the poll & tell us why you voted that way.

@theAnticlough I've only included league goals and assists. And your right, Iorpenda hasn't scored any league goals yet, my mistake, misreading my info. Thanks for pointing it out.

We have already seen the attacking midfield players chipping in with assists & goals. Iorpenda: 3 assistsLuker: 3 assists, 1 goalHall: 1 assist, 3 goalsJones: 1 assist, 1 goal Grant: 1 goal Matt Palmer has chipped in with 2 assists, Robertson: 1 goal Tsaroulla has 1 assist & 2 goals So players all around the team are chipping in with assists & goals. I think Iorpenda, Luker & Hall will become the lynchpin of the AM area. If they can chip in over the next 75% of the season they should all have an impressive tally of assists & goals

Looks like we had rain here again last night. That's 3 nights in the trot. The lawn is continuing to grow. Looks like we may have to cut it again the way things are going. Our flowers are still holding on. Our garden is very sheltered so it does help the flowers to avoid the frost unless it gets very cold. Two of our hanging baskets seem to have had a new lease of life too. Without a Notts match looks like I'll be watching a film or two today although I'll keep an eye on the local football scene.

Burton 1 - 2 Bolton Exeter 1 - 0 Reading Leyton Orient 0 - 1 Doncaster Wigan 2 - 0 Wycombe Chesterfield 1 - 1 Salford Crewe 3 - 1 Bromley🤡 Fleetwood 2 - 2 Harrogate Tranmere 1 - 2 Barnet

That's the question isn't it. In my opinion his attributes as a goalkeeper would have been what Notts would have needed. He's played at various levels & his game is supported by having good agility & composure, with ability to command his area. Experience: At 31 years old, he has a lot of experience playing as a goalkeeper. Physical attributes: He is known for being a tall and strong goalkeeper with good agility and balance. Playing style: Blackman is described as being a solid, confident, and dominant goalkeeper, particularly in the air. The question is. Would he have been an improvement in the goalkeeping department? I would have said yes to that

The Football Regulator is going to have a very busy job when he or she final gets in place. Lots of work to do to fix lots of problems regarding football club finance. Will it ever be fixed? I very much doubt it the way things are going.
