Is English Football in a Crisis?
There are concerns about a potential crisis in football. The situations involving Sheffield Wednesday, Morecambe, & Widnes FC. The Sheffield Wednesday players are reportedly facing delayed wage payments & potential strike action. Morecambe is also dealing with financial difficulties. It's reported that Morecambe have ceased all first team football operations. And the news that Widnes FC have had to withdraw from the Northern Premier League, the seventh tier of English Football, after only getting promoted last season is another big blow to another Town. These issues raise questions about the overall stability and financial health of some clubs. So do we have a crisis in English football. What can be done?

Notts have got a good defence & the defensive midfield area has been strengthened to support the defence. The side looks like it will be more tougher & physical with opponents. We have new creative players in the wings & maybe Jodi in the number 10 position. If Jatta stays & he fires on all cylinders we have one of the best strikers in the league. We have Dennis & Traoré to back him up, & maybe a new striker to come in.. I think with this squad we can make the playoffs, maybe in sixth or seventh place. I don't think we can make the automatics, but you can always hope. If you pin me down to a final position, I'll say Notts will make 6th place. My top three will be MK Dons, Bristol Rovers, & Salford in no particular order. The final three playoff places Chesterfield, Walsall, & Swindon.- Here's A Question For Everyone
If you put it all in to context the Insect is a very powerful & important force in the World. The vast majority of plant life depend on them. They are the pollinators. Without them, it would be very hard for life on earth. We would have to pollinate plants manually which would be very difficult.- Season Ticket Sales
I think that figure of approaching 6200 is comparable with last seasons sales. I think it will ensure that Notts will be averaging 10K crowds once again.- Game 1: Match Discussion, The Exiles (A)
The day that we have been looking forward to will arrive on Saturday, 2nd August, at 3pm, when Notts play Newport at Rodney Parade, in their first League 2 match of the season. Notts have already signed 10 new players during the summer window, & the expectation is that there may be one more incoming to bolster the Squad before the transfer window closes. Notts are unbeaten in their last four matches against Newport & will be looking for another positive result on Saturday. Head Coach Martin Paterson, initially played what he believed was his strongest 11 against Cardiff, & Notts achieved a creditable draw against League 1 opposition. Top scorer last season, Alassana Jatta will be absent due to suspension, so that will be a big blow. But it means that others have to step up to the plate & take this opportunity to impress Martin Paterson before Jatta will be able to return.- Game 1: Match Discussion, The Exiles (A)
- Could Humans Live Forever?
It's a good question @Wheelbarrow repair man & not easy to answer. The advancement of AI & Robotics is equally exciting as it is disturbing. At this point, with development & knowledge moving so fast, AI is going play a massive part in the future of the human race. One thing is certain. I believe that within 5 years we will see Humanoid Robots in factories & Warehouses replacing Humans. We will probably see them walking the streets doing errands for humans & in people's homes who can afford them. The Terminator & I Robot movies do have a lot of truth in them & that is the disturbing part of all this. AI intelligence is going to get so advanced that it could possibly become a conscious entity without a conscience. That is the worrying part. As for Androids with a human brain as we saw in a original Star Trek episode, I think that will be hard to do. A human brain needs an oxygen & blood supply & a constant temperature. Oxygen & CO2 has to be exchanged, blood pressure has to be controlled & nerve endings need to be connected successfully to control an artificial body. That makes it very complicated. What I can see is an AI Humanoid processor come brain being programmed with human traits & mannerisms as we see in Data from STNG If we are not careful, & without internationally agreed controls, I think the World could be going down a potentially very risky path for humanity,- Hillsborough's North Stand closed by Sheffield council

Sorted @super_ram thanks. Oh dear, this getting old thing.- Here's A Question For Everyone
@Wheelbarrow repair man You bought up species who lived in the sea. Just imagine how the season & Oceans would look without fishing, & Whaling. Whales would dominate the seas & Oceans, as you said, Dolphins are intelligent & would be numerous. The oceans & Seas would be teaming with all kinds of life. The Skies would be full of bird life, the World would be teaming with insect life There would be no farming so the appearance of the World would look so different. We already know that animals communicate. Apes can communicate, reason & make simple tools. Birds have intelligence, they travel large distances to migrate.. How do they do that? It is more than just instinct, they can recognise landmarks, they use the sun & stars to navigate. Even insects communicate & have intelligence. Bees & Wasps recognize different faces.- Another Question For You.
Technology is advancing at an extraordinary rate especially in AI & Robotics. I believe that Humans will colonise other planets, but with the help of AI & Robotics. At the moment it takes about 3 days to get to the moon. I can envisage a space ship controlled by Humanoid Robots going to the moon & building a base there within the next ten to 20 years. Humanoid Robots will soon be able to build & maintain themselves, so I can see them being sent to the moon in large numbers to prepare a base for humans to go to extract vital minerals from the moon & return them to earth. It takes about 7 to 10 months to travel to Mars, so I think Humanoid Robots will be used in the same way. If atomic engines are developed, those traveling times may come down considerably & could enable travel to moons like Titan, Europa & Ganymede that could support life. I still think that travel will be led by Humanoid Robots. I think that very fast speeds in space could be possible, up to 100K per hour or even more, but I'm not sure Warp propulsion is possible, but of course, you can't rule it out. - Strands word game
