I just think that winning just one of our last four matches points to the fact that we are missing Jatta, & we definitely missed Norburn too against Grimsby. According to Martin, they are both getting back to fitness along with Palmer, I hope they are ready to play against Walsall. Norburn & Jatta in particular, would make a big difference at both ends of the pitch.

Even though the Notts team had a disappointing loss at home to Grimsby, & have only earned 4 points from a possible 12, I remain optimistic that Notts can still challenge successfully for promotion & here's why. We have three of our best players, Palmer, Norburn, & Jatta getting close to full fitness & will return soon. Notts still have to play 5 matches against teams currently in the top 10, so Notts can still gain lots of points, (up to 15) at the expense of their closest rivals. Notts still have an 8 point cushion between themselves & the team in 8th place, so at the very least, Notts are still looking good for a playoff place. Which gives them another opportunity to achieve promotion. Notts are still just 1 point adrift of the team in 3rd place in League 2, so they remain very much in the mix, & it is still in their own hands to finish in the top three. What are your thoughts?

I think the pick of the team came from the defence today. The Notts attack failed to take their chances so for me it's between Macari, Platt or Bedeau. Out of this three I think Platt just shaded it, so he is my Notts Man of the Match. The Notts defence continues to perform consistently which is a big plus.

I think that Notts did make a mistake not coming to an agreement with Didzy for him to stay this season. But we've moved on & Notts have to try to & do their best with the players that we have now.
