  1. Wrap up if you are going to the match today. It's going to be cold.
  2. I think a good compromise would be for the third from bottom team in League 2 play the team that finished in third place in the National league over two legs to determine whether the third from bottom team survives or the third from top team gets promoted. Alternatively, playoffs in the National League between the clubs that finished 3rd to 6th to determine who plays the 3rd from bottom team in League 2.

  5. Looks like former Forest Head Coach Steve Cooper may be one of the bookies favourites take the Derby job. He's certainly got the credentials at Championship level.

  8. Forward Emily Brett has rejoined Notts County Women from Sporting Khalsa. She will strengthen the squad and give Adam Dunleavy more options upfront.
  9. In his first full season in charge Paul guided Derby to promotion from league one. He's regarded as a good Head Coach so I don't expect him to be out of a job for too long. But a run of seven consecutive league defeats was always going to put Paul under pressure. Football owners demand success so Derby being third from the bottom with sixteen games left forced owner David Clowes to act. Could this herald a possible emotional return to Derby for Wayne Rooney or even a return to football management for Neil Warnock to save Derby?
  10. I saw the speculation on X last night. At the moment it just looks like a rumour, but sometimes rumour has some truth to it. It would be a setback if it were true. But I will trust the owners, who always see ahead & I'm sure they would have a replacement in mind if it was needed.
  11. Stuart is absolutely delighted to be keeping Alassana Jatta after all the speculation about offers from other clubs, & what turned out to be a firm offer from Plymouth for £750k, that Notts turned down during the January transfer window. Stuart has also praised Jatta for his recent performances & him not taking his eye off the ball despite all the speculation. Jatta has been influential in Notts's recent form which saw them climb back up the table & now hold one of the promotion places in third place. Jatta has scored six goals & created two others during a run of seven wins in nine matches since mid-December. Talking to the BBC Maynard told BBC Radio Nottingham. "We are delighted to keep him. It's really important for the football club, especially for the back-end of the season". "The way AJ has performed this season has been incredible, & not just with the goal return, but his work ethic & everything he brings to the team." It is clear that Jatta staying is going to be a big boost to the team & the fans. Whether Notts get promoted for not, Jatta's value will only increase & that's a big win win for Notts. 12. Your Friday afternoon Weather
  13. Sutton Coldfield are two points behind Notts in 8th place having played a game more than Notts Notts & Sutton are two well matched teams in mid table. This match, if we take into account both their results so far, will be close & very competitive. In their home match against Sutton back in September, Notts won by a single goal in a close encounter. I don't see things any different on Sunday. I think that this match has a draw written all over it. It would be the first draw of the season for Notts.
  14. It's very overcast here and it is cold too. I can identify with your frustration @super_ramwe have had our fair share of noisy neighbours. Usually it has been doing house improvements It's sometimes funny when one neighbour blitzes their kitchen, they sell the house, then another new owner moves in & blitzes the kitchen once again. It's happened several times over the years. It has been fairly quiet for several months though.😊
  15. The visit to Port Vale is going to be massive on the 13th February. If Notts can get a draw or even manage a fantastic win it would be a big confidence booster. Taking points from our promotion rivals will be vital for the Notts promotion effort. Just taking a point would be big, & would deny our rivals to make headway against us.
  16. Very sad news for the Club and supporters. Rest in peace Gary.
