  1. Howard Kendall's achievements as a manager. Blackburn Rovers Football League Third Division runner-up: 1979–80 Everton Football League First Division 1984–85, 1986–87 FA Cup: 1983–84 FA Charity Shield 1984, 1985, 1986 (shared) European Cup Winners' Cup 1984–85 Notts County Anglo-Italian Cup: 1994–95 Individual English Manager of the Year: 1984–85, 1986–87 Premier League Manager of the Month: January 1998
  2. Why are people always unkind to Donkeys? Donkeys appear to be quite intelligent, cautious, friendly, & eager to learn. They are also very hard working, dependable & loyal. They are also known for their determination & self preservation. Some of the traits that I would like to see in a footballer.
  3. Sad news tonight, Manchester United legend Dennis Law has died aged 84.
  4. It was a good insight into what happens in a Notts training session. We see how Stuart has a quiet disposition when he is interviewed, however on the training pitch he is so different. Most people won't see that unless you are a work colleague, player or a reporter attending the training sessions. It is a sign of a good leader when Stuart is seen pushing & encouraging his players. A Manager/Head Coach has to develop his players & we can see that too in the footage. I did notice that the training sessions can be intense too, with players working hard and changing direction very quickly. I can understand when players do get injured during training, but players do have to be tested to the full to ensure they keep up the fitness levels for every match.
  5. He's stuck it out after a tough start that wasn't his making. He's had a big part in rebuilding a squad that was leaking goals all over the place He's not only helped to rebuild the squad, he's moulded the players into a good league 2 side that has every chance of getting promotion.. That is the sign of a good Manager/Head Coach & that's a rarity nowadays. The Notts owners picked well when they brought Stuart in a year ago.
  6. Coventry City 1 v 2 Bristol City Luton Town 0 v 2 Preston Crawley Town 3 v 1 Burton Albion Mansfield 1 v 2 Wycombe Reading 2 v 0 Stockport Grimsby 2 v 1 Chesterfield🤡 Swindon 2 v 1 Barrow Eastleigh 2 v 2 Altrincham Forest Green 2 v 1 Rochdale Halifax 3 v 0 Dagenham
  7. @Fan of Big Tone @Chris This must be one of the biggest contracts their has ever been. Must be at least a £100 million wages deal over 9.5 years. Putting the joking aside, do Man City know something we don't regarding the 115 charges & their resulting punishment? Have City been assured they won't be demoted?

  9. Your weekend weather from the MET Office
  10. Like to see him stay with City when they are demoted to the North West Counties League. Tier 9 of the football pyramid.
  11. Positive news about Lewis Macari that he may only be out for 6 to 8 weeks instead of the rest of the season. It's great that Edwards is in contention for Saturday's match.
  12. Will be interesting to see the team that Stuart will pick for the game against Accrington. My team would be. Bass, McDonald, Platt, Bedeau Austin, Abbott, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Jones, McGoldrick, Jatta. Subs, Grant, Slocombe, Johnson, Whitaker, Jarvis, Hinchy, Martin. I would put Jodi in the number 10 role, & the three new players would be on the bench. I would call that a very strong team & bench.

  14. Your 4 cast for Thursday
  15. Don't take things too seriously @Piethagoram Have a sense of humour. I thought this thread was for a laugh or two? You started this topic so have a laugh on your precious Labour government.
  16. It's certainly looking like it's going to be an exciting 2nd part of the season in the Premier League with an unfancied team doing so well. I think it is good for the City that Forest are doing well this season. Of course it has been a long time coming. I do think their success will benefit Notts too with more business for the Nest.
