  1. Just googled to research whether fire resistant wood was safe, and found the following. I quote. "Yes, fire retardant wood can be safe in buildings, but there are some things to consider": "Fire safety" "Fire retardant treatments can help slow the spread of flames and heat, which can give people more time to escape and put out the fire". "Fire rating" "Fire retardant treatments can improve the fire rating of wood, allowing it to be used in a variety of buildings. However, wood's fire rating is capped at Euroclass B, so it can't be used in residential, institutional, or multi-occupancy buildings over 18 meters". "Environmental impact" "Some flame retardants can be harmful to humans and animals. When choosing a fire retardant treatment, it's important to consider the treatment's environmental impact".
  2. Sad that the match was postponed yesterday, however the extra week before the next match will give some of the players extra rest. Players like David McGoldrick and Alassana Jatta. Those that were recently injured and missed the last game, George Abbott & Matty Platt, plus Scott Robertson who was on the bench for the last game but didn't play will get more recovery time Dan Crowley will welcome the extra time to get match fit, as will Jodi Jones, Conor Grant & Curtis Edwards.
  3. MATCH POSTPONED. Unfortunately, after a pitch inspection this morning, the pitch was deemed unplayable due to it being waterlogged. A new date for the match will be confirmed in due course.
  4. Good Morning. Looks like the worse of the storm has left us and the wind is moderating. It's still raining & the temperature is quite low with the wind being drawn from the North. Hopefully the Notts women's game at Lincoln United will go ahead tomorrow afternoon. I think I'll listen to a little bit of cricket from New Zealand where they are playing England in the 2nd test match. England being on top, & looking for their 2nd win.
  5. @BiggestPieInGlasgow I see Dumbarton have now raised nearly £95k from their go fund me page. Any more news from up there about their immediate future. I see they lost today.
  6. @BiggestPieInGlasgow I agree. It was a surprise when he went to MK Dons, but he's not expected to do much defensive duty there, so I think he's much happier. Under Luke Williams it was the same but Maynard is more defensive minded.
  7. Your Sunday Morning Weather
  8. I think that Matt's extension of contract is very significant & sends out a message that Notts want to keep hold of their best players. I'm sure that the Notts fans would love to see Dan Crowley put pen to paper too. We will just have to see what develops as far as Dan is concerned after the new year.
  9. I think someone will be having the scoreboards regularly checked now.
  10. Great win for Basford United Into the fourth round of the FA Trophy for the first time in their history.
  11. Notts are now in 9th place, five points behind an automatic promotion place after today's matches.
  12. Notts are currently in 8th position at half time today.
  13. Nice to see Ryley get an important milestone in his career by getting his first senior goal.
  14. Results so far today 7th Dec. Early kick offs Port Vale 0 - 1 Walsall Crewe 1 - 1 Bradford
  15. They certainly don't make things to last nowadays. The old Meadow Lane Scoreboard stood throughout everything that mother nature could throw at it.
  16. These are the league 2 fixtures today including the matches that are off due to the Weather.
  17. Barrow v MK Dons is off due to adverse Weather too
  18. The Club has made the right decision to postpone the match. The safety of spectators has to come first. It may be a blessing in disguise for Notts, because it will give all those injured players, & the ones returning, another week of recovery & training, to come back stronger against Salford. It may be the case that Notts will drop out of the top six today due to this postponement, but they will have a game in hand of course.
