  1. Wish him luck at Barrow but he just wasn't good enough for Notts once we got promoted to league 2.
  2. Great first half performance by Notts. They played the socks off the best team in the division in that first half Pity about the second half. Notts deserved at least a draw.
  3. Tonight's Results. Gillingham 0 Bromley 3 Newport 1 AFC Wimbledon 2. Up to date League 2 table.
  4. I don't think we will see Adam back at Notts when his loan period runs out. I think Adam is much more comfortable as a non league player.
  5. I understand that and it would be very tempting to move to a championship club. Some may disagree with me, but a League 2 Championship medal is good to have on a CV, but a Championship relegation is not, even though the Salary may be much bigger. A League 2 win could help him get a much better club in the Championship if he is prepared to wait till next season. Alternatively, he may decide to try to help Walsall to get promoted to the Championship next season if Walsall are promoted.
  6. I have added Dan Crowley to the poll, if you wish to cast your vote for him
  7. @True Magpie you make some good points about Cedwyn.. I hope that Cedwyn will stay and fight for a place in the side. I know it will be hard with Jatta & Didzy first in the queue.
  8. Why would Mat Sadler leave Walsall to go to a club rock bottom of the Championship & odds on to get relegated? Walsall are favourites to win League 2. A Champions mark on his CV is too much to give up.
  9. I think football agents are a scourge on the modern game. I just don't think they provide any useful purpose, but that's just my opinion.
  10. I think the Notts defence played well again with Platt & Bedeau the standouts once again. Bass had a good game with Abbott & Palmer featuring as usual. Josh Martin had a good game once again as did David McGoldrick. For me it was a choice between David McGoldrick, Josh Martin & Matty Platt for Notts Man of the Match. I think that Alassana Jatta just shades it, with his overall performance, scoring another well taken goal, & him being unlucky not to get a brace of goals.
  11. It was a dissapointing defeat against Walsall, however on the positive side there were some good performances for Notts despite the defeat. I have picked nine players for my shortlist for Man of the Match for Notts. They are:- Martin, Jatta, Platt, Bass, Bedeau, Abbott, Palmer, McGoldrick & Crowley.
  12. At the end of the day there are positives to take from this match. We totally outplayed the runaway leaders of league 2 in the first half & should have been 2 or even 3 goals up by half time, & there would have been no coming back from that. Notts are the better footballing side, so the players should take confidence from that. Another positive was that Josh Martin had a good game once again following in from his good performance against MK Dons. Jodi showed that he hasn't lost his ability to create chances for other teammates with his great cross that led to the Notts disallowed goal. If Notts continue to play like they did in the first half against Walsall they will beat most other teams in League 2.
  13. The performance by Notts in the first half was the best under Stuart Maynard. Unlucky not to get at least a point out of this match. The disallowed Notts goal near the end of the match looked onside to me, but we move on to the next match against Swindon at ML. Notts have an opportunity against Swindon to get back on track. Hopefully, they will.
  14. A chilly day for all Thursday, with wintry showers grazing northern and eastern coasts
  15. Liverpool to win the Premier League. Leeds to win the Championship Birmingham to win League 1. Walsall to win League 2. York City to win Nat League. Notts County to get promoted in third place or at the very least a play off place. Man City to be relegated along with a big fine. That's what they deserve. In reality, they'll get away with it.
  16. We should keep him. Offer him a contract till the end of the season. He's had two good games against Cheltenham & Walsall, so he's worth keeping.
  17. I get more enjoyment listening to Radio Nottingham. Best commentary in the Country in my opinion.
  18. We lost to a very good side. But we did play them off the park in the first half. I think the players felt the four Xmas & New Year game schedule in the second half unfortunately. Unlucky at the end not to salvage the point which would have been well deserved. That cross from Jodi that led to our disallowed goal is hopefully going to be a regular thing to enjoy that will cut open opposition defenses going forward. Despite this defeat, Notts are still in seventh place in a good position to continue the challenge for an automatic promotion place. Notts have more games at home than away in the second half of the season. Notts also have one point more than they had at the same stage last season. A home game against Swindon on Saturday to get back on track once again. Lots still to play for.
  19. Team to play Walsall. Looks like Ness, Tsaroulla are unavailable. Cundy on the Bench.
  20. A warm welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Helen Measures Great to have you on board.
  21. It's just a rumour as far as I can see. I think that it is going to be hard for Cedwyn to get a first eleven spot unless there are injuries. No one will ever forget Cedwyn's role in getting Notts out of the National League to where Notts are today. Cedwyn needs regular football time & if these rumours turn out to be true, I say good luck to him if he does leave Notts.
  22. Your New Year's Forecast to kick off 2025.
