  2. First Notts goal for Jack Hinchy.
  3. Weather warning in force for our area Thursday 5th Dec, (afternoon & evening) to Friday morning.
  4. Your Wednesday Afternoon Weather
  5. A team with six of their best players unavailable & a seventh on the bench & coming back to full fitness will always struggle. There is not a manager or head coach in the league system who will not struggle with seven first teamers unavailable. The players that are left have done a great job keeping Notts in touch with the leaders, despite the large number of injuries. Stuart Maynard has been able to keep Notts in the top six by getting the best out of those players, who would have been on the bench under normal circumstances. When those magnificent seven return to full fitness. Stuart will have a very big selection headache to solve & that will only make for healthy competition within the squad. Just imagine what those seven players will bring to the team come January. I'm looking forward to it. Watch out League Two.
  6. Cisse had a better rating than Bass, Macari, & Austin as well as the substitutes like Scott & Gordon on whoscored.com In his post match interview, Stuart was very pleased with his performance. Can't remember anyone on the radio commentary refering to Cisse not recieving passes.
  7. George Abbott is going to be a star & I'm sure he's going to make his mark in the PL one day whether it be with Spurs or another PL club. He's certainly a class above league 2 level & I think he wouldn't be out of place in the Championship even now
  8. I think Notts deserved at least a point from this match. They did dominate possession but Walsall took their chances & were much more clinical. The result would probably have been different if Notts had their six injured players available tonight. Notts were just missing the incisive passing that a Crowley & a Jones would have provided.
  9. It will soon be time to hit the sack. Dissapointing that Notts lost but the players available to Stuart did their best for the team. Looking at the other results, only three teams of the top ten won tonight, Walsall, MKDons & Grimsby. Teams around Notts are dropping points too, yet on X you'd think Notts losing is an absolute disaster. Six of our best players are missing. They could easily be all in the starting eleven come January. No one can tell the future, but there are still 28 games & 84 points to play for. The likes of Jones, Crowley, Edwards, Grant, Abbott, & Platt coming back is a mouthwatering prospect. X land shouldn't be writing off the Magpies just yet.
  10. Your Wednesday Morning Weather
  11. There were only three winners amongst the top ten teams in league 2 tonight.Walsall, Mk Dons & Grimsby. All the other teams drew or lost. So teams around Notts are dropping points too. Doncaster meet Fleetwood tomorrow.
  12. I thought three players stood out from my shortlist. David McGoldrick put in another excellent performance. Lucas Ness came in for Platt & also had a good game. Jack Hinchy came in for currently our best player in my opinion, George Abbott, and Jack did a great job for Stuart. He even scored a well taken goal too. In my opinion, Jack had his best game for Notts, and he's my Notts player of the match.
  13. It was a narrow defeat for Notts tonight, but despite the defeat, there were some good performances. My player shortlist for Man of the match is as follows:- McGoldrick, Hinchy, Ness, Bedeau, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Jatta, Cisse.
  14. I think that we have to bear in mind that Notts are missing 6 of their best first team players & missing those players is starting to have it's affect. Notts have done so well to keep up with the league leaders despite the number of injuries. The team that Stuart is fielding are trying their level best, & it was no different tonight. There were some good performances. Jack Hinchy had his best game for Notts, David McGoldrick played very well again, & Lucas Ness played well too. Notts just need to hang in there and hope that results will improve once the six players return. I'm optimistic that the fortunes of the team will turn for the better in the new year.
  15. Notts stein sixth place just two points from the automatics.
  16. We have to take into account that Notts are missing 6 players who would go straight into the first eleven. The effect of the injured players is starting to show & Notts have done so well to get this far and still be in touch with the leaders . The players remaining are doing their best & could easily have salvaged a point at the end. Notts fans need to give the team some slack. The injured players are going to return at some point. Positives. Jack Hinchy had his best game for Notts. McGoldrick was magnificent & Ness played well too Let's get a few more wins & hopefully early in the new year we will have a full squad available again.
  17. GOOOOOAAAAAL HINCHY Full time. Defeat for Notts.
  18. Update A third for Walsall.
  19. Update. Update. Penalty to Notts. GOOOOOAAAAAL DIDZY 74 - GOAL! Typical McGoldrick - cool, calm and collected from 12 yards.
  20. Goal to Walsall. Update. Goal number 2 to Walsall.
  21. Goal to Walsall. Completely against the run of play. We saw Notts nearly score directly from the corner but Walsall have done that. Not a good goal from Notts to concede." - Stallard
  22. Update. Half time Notts are probably the happier of the two teams. They haven't really looked threatening." -Stallard
