I think this could be a great signing for Notts. I think he will fit in very well to our style. He's a finisher & that's who we need to put away the chances our midfield and wingbacks can create. Not sure that Martin will start him in the first eleven against Doncaster but I wouldn't rule it out. One thing is for certain, it's made my Bank Holiday Monday even better with this news.

There has been lots of praise for Rory's performance on Saturday. He's certainly going to get marked very closely by Doncaster on Tuesday if he starts the game for Notts. It will be another test for him, but I think that he will be able to deal with it. He showed enough maturity beyond his years against Burton, that I'm confident that he can deal with any close attention. We will see.

We had a big electrical storm here last night. It lasted from 11pm to Midnight. Lightening, thunder and heavy rain. It does appear that summer is over for now, but you just never know. Next week we could be back to having plenty of sun once again.

Not a good start to the season for them. They have lost their first four league matches and are at the bottom of the League. Jatta just received a 5.9 rating from flash score for their latest game against Morelrense, which they lost 0:1.

Notts travel to Doncaster for their first midweek league match of the season (19:45 Kick off), to renew their rivalry with Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening. Doncaster are yet to win this season having lost 1 & drawn 2 of their first 3 games so far. They are currently in 19th place in League 1. Doncaster finished in 14th place in League One last season. Their record was 17 wins, 9 draws & 20 defeats. They scored 50 goals & conceded 69. They had a reasonable end to the season winning 3, drawing 1 & losing 1 of their last 5 matches of the season. Doncaster have recruited 7 players during the summer transfer window Notts have a reasonably good recent record against Doncaster winning 2 drawing 1 & losing 1 in their 4 league games after Notts return to League 2.Notts will be on a high after their comeback win against Burton on Saturday. Head Coach Martin Paterson will be hoping for better news regarding those players who are currently out of the reckoning due to injury. Scott Robertson is the latest to join the list after being absent from the matchday squad on Saturday. I expect a very competitive match between these two teams on Tuesday. If Notts can continue to play with a high intensity & hard working approach, I think Notts can get a positive result here. I think it all depends how all the players have recovered from Saturday & who's available. Thoughts?

@theAnticlough I can remember a player we took on loan around the end of 1983, his name was Glenn Roeder who Notts loaned from QPR. He had a great debut for Notts, & made a big impression on the fans who tried to sign him by what you would call nowadays by crowdfunding. The fans unfortunately didn't raise the asking price. He played a further 3 times for Notts, but was sold by his parent club to Newcastle. But Glenn was an experienced campaigner. Rory is only 18, so I think Rory's debut performance takes some beating.

Martin Paterson excelled again today. The half time team talk and those substitutions that worked perfectly.

I think we went from the poorest performance of the season in the first half to arguably the best performance of the season in the 2nd half. Great Management by Paterson to engineer a great turnaround. Inspired Substitutions that changed the game around. I think that Finneran could be a very good acquisition. To think that he was only announced a few minutes before the Notts team was announced for the match & him having minimum preparation with his new colleagues says a lot of positivity about him So pleased for Luka Smyth who took his goals really well under extreme pressure. I do think that we Notts need to bring in a new Striker because we are very thin upfront when you consider we started without a striker.

Great performance in that 2nd half. Notts totally dominated the 2nd half. Kudos to Martin Paterson for his half time talk and substitutions. My shortlist list for man of the match today is Tsaroulla, who put in another good shift, Cooper who had another influential game, Finneran who had a very good debut & to think he's only 18, & Smyth who came on & had his best 45 minutes for Notts. My Man of the Match goes to Luka Smyth because he took his first goal well and scored the penalty under intense pressure.
