  1. The two assistant coaches have worked with Stuart some time. They came over with him from Wealdsone. I think that Stuart and his assistants came over as a package. I think you find that alot now when there is a change of Head Coach or Manager, his assistants come with him We don't know how rigid, the owners, want to be in enforcing the style of play that they believe in. Is Stuart allowed to deviate from that style of play depending on the opposition or not. I think that's an important question to ask, because it seems to me that the owners want Notts to play out from the back no matter who they play. As I've said before, there needs to be some flexibility in style to combat every different team in league two, depending on lots of things, pitch, weather, & what Notts players are available on that particular day.
  2. It's a good addition @Chris I like it.
  3. Listened to Stuart's Maynard's Pre Bradford Press Conference that was held this morning. He talked a little bit about the dissapointing performance at Salford & why the Notts performance was very poor. He talked about the state of the pitch at Salford & the excellent performance by Salford, who used the pitch to their advantage, & executed their tactics well. Stuart talked about the disapointment the players felt, & how they wanted to change things against Bradford. He also hoped that the Notts fans will get behind the team on Saturday. The question was asked if any more injured players were going to return, and we learned that Robertson was the closest to returning, maybe next week Edwards, Jones & Grant would be looking to return in January, however Stuart was keen to say that those players will need time to get back up to speed, to be able to play to their best again. We also learned that Notts were also looking at other players to bring in during the January window, but he didn't expand on that. I didn't think that Stuart looked so confident in this interview than he has of late. Maybe he is feeling the pressure a little bit. I do think that the Bradford game will be very important for Stuart to get a win.

  6. UEFA/FIFA might secretly want a unified British team but it will never happen. why? Because if they insist on pushing that, they would need to push for an EU united team, so both will never happen.
  7. @Chris You've made a good case with your excellent reply. There are some good Managers available at this time, & I'm sure that the Reedtz brothers, being as organised as they are, will have a shortlist in preparation for a move if form doesn't pick up. I just hope that it won't be necessary & the players will respond & fight the good fight for Notts & Stuart over the next few weeks.

  9. Can "Freezing This Xmas" get to the Xmas number one? It is selling in droves. Can it beat the usual competition?
  10. I agree with lots of things you say @Chris but not regarding Stuart Maynard. He's had up to eight players out which includes four of his best players, including the best player in the lower two leagues out for an extended period. The players that have come in have done well to keep Notts just three points off the playoffs under Stuart's leadership. In my opinion, all those calling for his head fail to think about the problems a new manager would bring half way through a season. Sometimes changing a manager does work but a lot of the time it doesn't. In my opinion, the best time to change a manager is in the summer, when there is a chance for the new manager to get to know the players and work with the recruiters to bring in the new players that he wants. Changing in the summer, the team would become the new Manager's team. Changing mid season, the team would still be the previous Manager's.
  11. You always try to be smart don't you Mr P. Always the smart one, always right, never wrong, knows what is best for the Country, always putting words in people's mouths when you are losing the argument.@Wheelbarrow repair man was right about that. There's plenty of gas under our feet right now but you don't want to tap into it.Theres more oil fields in the north sea to be extracted and where's there is oil there is gas. Labour are compromising our security by turning to green energy. And you say you don't agree with Labour stopping the winter fuel allowance. So let's see you condemn Labour and push for them on social media to reverse it, Let's see you condemn Labour for lying to the WASPI women, & push for Labour to reverse it but you won't will you.
  12. Do you agree with a law that bans a perfectly good heat source for homeowners? It's a ludicrous law, but it is allowing the introduction of heat pumps to slowly increase them by stealth.New builds become old builds eventually @Piethagoram. You obviously didn't read my post. NO VAT on domestic energy bills. STOP all government funding of green energy projects. STOP all green Government incentives. STOP all green Government subsidies. Stop overseas aid. For example, Stop giving China, India & Syria aid. That will more than pay for the £1.4 needed to help pensioners & help WASPI women too.

  15. I didn't misread your post. Unfortunately, putting heat pumps in new builds is a way of increasing that type of heating by stealth. This will continue unabated unfortunately. Both Tory & Labour are determined to race each other to Net Zero.

  17. My favourite sandwich as a child was cheese and jam, usually cheddar cheese & home made strawberry jam.
  18. Raining here first thing but very mild. Had our last food delivery before Xmas. Anything else will go to the Superstore for. Nothing else planned for the day, apart from making the dinner & hoovering around for the Mrs. Might watch a few Xmas movies on the TV today. Plenty to choose from.
  19. Gary won a Championship trophy for Dundee then almost immediately found himself dismissed by the owners. It's a potty football world sometimes. Please to see him appointed Head Coach at Burton. I wish him good luck. Hope he is supported by the owners with some cash in the January window. 20. I agree that we need a football regulator. I read that the bill doesn't give the regulator power over parachute payments & as I've said previously, women's football needs to be regulated too Womens football is going the way of the mens game where the women's top league is pulling away from the rest & most of the money is concentrated there. The big six in the women's is becoming the big six in the men's. Hopefully at committee stage it will be made into a comprehensive bill to allow the Regulator the power to override decisions by the FA if those decisions go against the interests of all league clubs. One of the first decisions I would like to see is FA Cup replays being reinstated, & parachute payments heavily regulated.
  21. Nice to see a shock like this. Barcelona's 2nd defeat on the trot at home. The Barca manager will be under pressure. Click the link to watch the highlights.
  22. A click and bait story by the BBC pushing their global warming agenda by making it initially appear as a story about Polar Bears. I was even sucked into it.
  23. Sorry @Fozzy but Heat Pumps? Homeowners must have the choice of heating system for their home whether it be Solid fuel central heating, gas central heating, gas wall heaters, or the maligned heat pump if they want it. The heat pump is definitely not a sensible choice to heat a home. Without the massive subsidies by the government, heat pumps would only be affordable for a small number of householders. Financial green incentives such as grants to install heat pumps should be scrapped, as well as tax incentives for companies building wind farms & solar panels that blight the landscape of the UK. The 8% green levy on energy bills should be scrapped as well as the standing charge. The 5% VAT on domestic energy bills should be scrapped too. The school teacher has marked your work Fozzy, & the school teacher is always right isn't he.
