Notts have a big squad & I think we may see more players being sent out on loan if the injury situation improves. As for Kouhyar, I think it was the right decision to send him on loan. Opportunities for him in the match squad will have reduced somewhat. The Club does have a good core of first team players at the moment. We also can look to some good players returning from injury which will make the competition for places even more competitive.

40 years ago Mansfield town centre was full of shoppers with lots of shops to choose from such as Debenhams, British Home Stores, Marks & Spencers, & Woolworths to name a few. There was a bustling market with lots of stalls in the Town Centre. Two big shopping centres that were always busy. Lots of Banks & Building societies, plenty of carparking space. Come forward 40 years & the Town centre is unrecognisable compared with how it used to be. What killed the Town Centre? Internet Shopping, changing attitudes, no real need to go into the centre of Town to shop. Also a lack of investment, & the loss of manufacturing in the Town. As far as the away fan is concerned the Mansfield Town ground Field Mill is nowhere near the Town centre. If you are visiting by Train the Train Station is only about 250 yards from the Ground. No need to go into the Town Centre. I live about two & a half miles from the ground on the outskirts of the Town. If the wind direction is favourable you can hear the crowd from my Garden. You certainly know if a goal has been scored for the home team.
