It's great to learn that Dan is back, whether in the starting eleven, or on the bench for the Salford game

After listening to Stuart's pre Salford presser, Dan Crowley is available for selection against Salford, so I expect him to be on the bench. We have to take into account Fans match fitness will need to improve for him to be 100% And more good news. Grant & Edwards are doing light training, & non contact ball work.

Brown is in a season long loan but he needs to step up, these last few games before the new year otherwise, I don't see him being in Maynard's plans I wonder why Managers don't try to convert defenders into attackers? Maynard has used Cundy up front on a few occasions. Why not us him up front again? He's tall and he could be useful.

A Manager/Head Coach should be judged by the silverware they collect for a club. Not the win percentage.

Jack Stevens looks like a decent player who could be a good fit for Notts. Notts County should look to repeat Macaulay Langstaff trick with non-league raid in January FOOTBALLLEAGUEWORLD.CO.UK Notts should look to non-league once again in the January window.

Facts of the day Jodi Jones has missed the last 12 matches. Dan Crowley has missed the last 6 matches Curtis Edwards has missed 14 matches. Conor Grant has missed 10 matches. Scott Robertson has missed 11 marches.

The important games come thick and fast one after another. No less important is the trip to Salford City. Notts will be looking forward to the return of important key players to boost their chances of getting a result on Saturday. The match is an early kick off at 12:30 so if Notts can get a positive result by coming home with three points, Notts can jump back to fourth place before the 3pm matches. This would be my side to face Salford.. Bass, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Abbott, Austin, McGoldrick, Brown, Jatta. Subs. Scott, Ness, Robertson Slocombe, Hinchy, Gordon, M Cisse Strong side, & a fairly strong bench. I think there's a good chance of a win here if Notts play at their best I'll go for 2:1'Notts.

As this game is now a part of Notts County history Id love to play it again.

Another overcast and cold morning here. I don't watch a lot of live television now, but spent the even last night checking out all the Freeview channels after having our new Aerial put up. The guy did a very good job, & I'm getting more Freeview channels than I get on my Sky Satellite dish. The small Freeview box also includes on line content, & on demand TV, as well as pause live TV, so I'm impressed. A week without Notts & I'm looking forward to Saturday. A week of rest, recuperation & training should have helped the squad immensely. Hoping that the come out on all four cylinders & get the result the whole club & fans will be hoping for.

I think that this interview is one of the best I've seen involving Stuart Maynard. Very revealing and demonstrates why the Reedtz brothers value him so highly. He's totally different to what we saw with Luke Williams. Stuart has certainly made big tweaks in the Notts style since Williams left and it is certainly showing dividends defensively. If Notts hadn't had so many injuries who knows where Notts may have been in the league table after 18 games? I suspect that Notts would have easily have been in the top two. It is a credit to Stuart and his team that Notts have been able to remain competitive despite the injuries to his key players.

I think the key to football success is simply finance. Just look at Wrexham. Languishing in the National League, then look what happens. They'll probably be in the Championship next season, & who would bet against them being a PL club a year after that.

Jevani Brown joined on a season long loan, but I'm not sure that it is working out. Maybe it's best if he returns to Bristol in January, unless is form picks up very quickly. I also think that Martin will be released too in January. Cundy may go out in loan. That will allow three players to be recruited. I would like to see an attacking midfielder, a fast tricky wingback, and a fast & strong striker.

Modern Football just follows the pot of gold wherever it rears it's ugly head.
