How's your tooth @Fan of Big Tone have you managed to get it sorted with a dentist? I know it's quite hard to get an appointment with an NHS dentist.

Quirky 60s & 70s TV Series
@Wheelbarrow repair man I think he came back to Corrie in the 1990s too He was bald headed, his dark well groomed hair in Randall & Hopkirk was a toupee.

Quirky 60s & 70s TV Series
@liampieIt was during the golden age of TV when you thought an 18 inch TV was massive & Colour TV was brand new & exciting, if you could afford one.

Luke Garrard Back At Boreham Wood
@liampie You've just hit on it there. Trouble is in modern football, several bad results happen & the pressure is right on the manager, usually lead by the click & bait media. Boreham were quick to fire his replacement too after just a few months. Unfortunately the manager merry go round is just a part of football now.

BREAKING: Hearing over Man City's 115 Charges to begin Monday, 16th Sept.
You may be right @Wheelbarrow repair man but I do hope that if one, or some or all the charges are proved to be true, that justice is seemed to be done for the sake of football in this Country.

Match Preview: Can McGoldrick Fire Notts County to Victory Against Bromley?
I think that we could see a similar game to what we saw in the Swindon game a few weeks ago. Notts have shown that they are prepared to defend at times, & graft a result if necessary. Stuart has plenty of options available to him & we could see a slightly different line up at away matches compared to matches at home. We may just see one striker & an extra midfielder against Bromley to begin with, but Stuart will have options to change it during the game. I still think no matter how Notts line up, they will be too strong for Bromley.

BREAKING: Hearing over Man City's 115 Charges to begin Monday, 16th Sept.
You could be right @MagpieLane but I do hope that the punishment does fit the crime if charges are proven. For all those teams that were punished with fines & points deductions for just one charge, justice needs to be seen to be done. A clear message that no team is above the rules & regulations needs to be given, if Man City is found guilty of some or all of the charges.

Stuart Maynard Prepares Notts County for Tough Bromley FC Clash
Stuart Maynard is absolutely delighted that Jodi has signed a new contract. It is the icing on the cake for Stuart after a successful summer recruitment of quality players. Stuart is also boosted by the return of Jodi, Alassana & Dan to the squad after injury. It gives Stuart a selection headache, however he will welcome it because it enhances competition for places which is good. Bromley must not be underestimated. They will let Notts dictate play but will try to hit Notts on the break, & capitalise on any Notts mistakes. Stuart will want Notts to continue to work hard in the defensive areas, & smother any Bromley attacks, & be clinical up front when opportunity arises. I think that Notts will be too strong for Bromley if Notts play to their recent form & stay confident.

Folkestone v Billericay sending off incident
@NiftyNick thanks for sharing the link. It's such a tough disease that can strike anyone. It must have been tough for Chris because his speech & his ability to communicate was what makes him so popular as a football pundit & reporter. There must be thousands of other people have to live with this disease too, & it's great that Chris is ensuring that people like myself know more about it through his documentary. It's great to know that his condition has shown signs of improvement too. I wish him luck with his new book.

Jodi Jones Reflects on New Contract and Future Ambitions with Notts County
It is wonderful news that Jodi has signed a new contract, he is clearly settled at Notts & he loves the Club. Him signing has also shown that he is confident that Notts could challenge for silverware this season too. Jodi is such an exciting player to watch, he has so much skill on the ball & opponents fear him. He has started the season so well & he has started as he left off last season. And we also learned that he likes being on the right side as well as the left side. So that gives Stuart more options too, & will keep opponents guessing where he might play on the day.

Luke Garrard Back At Boreham Wood
I think this is an excellent move by Boreham Wood to bring Luke back. The Club enjoyed unprecedented success under Luke first time around, & they will be hoping that Luke can turn things around for a Club that have had a dissapointing year, once again. Luke will be aiming to stabilise the Club then hope to challenge for a playoff place to hopefully give Boreham Wood a chance of returning to the National League. I'm sure he will lift the atmosphere there very quickly, & if the supporters get behind the club, who knows what could happen.

Quirky 60s & 70s TV Series
Kenneth Cope, died yesterday. He was one of the Stars, (Hopkirk) of the quirky TV series Randall & Hopkirk (deceased) It was a TV drama/ Comedy series of the 60s, a mixture of drama & humour typical of these TV series in the 60s & 70s. It was one of my favourite shows being in my early teenage years. Did you have a favourite bygone TV series or maybe a series that's more modern? Here's a clip from the first episode of Randall & Hopkirk after Hopkirk had become a Ghost.

Jodi Jones - New contract
I'm pleased that he's signed a three year contract. I hope that he will stay & help this club get some possible silverware. If the price were right in January, or the end of the season, the owners may sell him, but anyone wanting him will have to pay a lot of money with him being on a long contract. If Notts get promoted then I would have thought that Jodi may stay. Jodi has already played in higher leagues compared to Macca, so Jodi's situation to Macca is a little bit different. Jodi had a new lease of life as a player with Notts & that is an important factor to consider too. I'm just pleased that he has committed to the club & I hope Dan will too.

Weekly chat - 9th to 15th September
Good Morning everyone. Late start this morning. Wife up early. Washing done and hanging out. Lovely sunny morning here but cold. Kept the gas wall heater on last night. Late breakfast. Did anyone see the Aurora last night? Didn't take a photo but the sky did look a pinky purple towards the North east, but it didn't look strong as they had further North.

Peru reached the quarter finals in 1970 & 1978 Paraguay got to the quarter finals in 2010 Argentina & Brazil have dominated out of the South American sides the vast majority of the time. - Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
