  1. Positives 1. Nine new players have joined the club. 2.New Goalkeeper & four new centre backs to improve Notts defence. 3. Plenty of cover in central midfield & left, right wingback. 4. Jatta has had a great preseason. 5. Palmer & Scott will be available after injury. 6. On paper Notts should be tighter in defence & still a threat up front Negatives. 1. Big blow, Macca left. 2. The team has leaked goals in preseason which is concerning. 3. Notts haven't replaced Macca so only three senior strikers on the books. 4. Not sure if Scott & Palmer are up to full fitness yet. 5. I'm concerned that Nemane & Jones are good going forward but not good at defending.
  2. SILVER MEDAL ALERT Cycling. Mens Team Sprint.
  3. BRONZE MEDAL ALERT Womens Park Skateboarding
  4. @Wheelbarrow repair man The vast majority of online pundits don't think Notts are even going to make the playoffs this season. I wonder why? Maybe it's Macca going having something to do with it
  5. @Wheelbarrow repair man I didn't see anything wrong with the name of the thread. But that's my opinion.
  6. @Wheelbarrow repair man the thing is, Macca was on the substitutes bench at the weekend against Southampton. Why would he be on the bench if he was injured? Something doesn't add up
  7. GOLD MEDAL ALERT Athletics, Womens 800m
  8. GOLD MEDAL ALERT Cycling. Womens Team Sprint.

  10. A great send off for the Legend that is Andy Murray.
  11. SILVER MEDAL ALERT Kayak Canoe Cross Slalom
  12. BRONZE MEDAL ALERT Kayak Canoe Cross Slalom
  13. @Wheelbarrow repair man Why have you changed the thread title? It was a good tongue in cheek thread.
  14. I do agree that Notts should hoof the ball either out of the sidelines or up the field when circumstances demand it, instead of trying to play yourself out of trouble. I prefer the safety first approach when it's needed. I do like Notts attractive style however, you have to keep the opposition guessing regarding your style and tactics. Last season Notts were just too predictable in every match they played, & the opposition just adjusted to that & waited to pounce on the mistakes. Notts just need to change that scenario this season.
  15. That's very strange. Can't remember Notts mentioning that he had an injury that would impact his training & start of the season. In fact we saw Macca report for training several weeks ago with the other team members If he was injured, how did he pass his medical with flying colours?
  16. No matter how he looks, hope he helps keep them in the PL & they increase their season ticket prices again. That will suit Notts because Notts can pick up the support of families & casual supporter wanting to support a team in the City that charges a reasonable price to see them play. More money in the Notts coffers is welcome.
  17. Weather for the rest of Monday
  18. @Wheelbarrow repair man I couldn't find anything recent either since those last reports. Seems that they want the story buried, I wonder why? This dangerous habit is not going to help sportsmen in the long term and it's use needs to be put in the spotlight, highlighting the dangers of it's use. I'll monitor the airwaves from time to time to see if SNUS is mentioned or not.
  19. Terribly sad news this morning that former Surrey & England Cricketer Graham Thorpe has died at the age of 55. RIP Graham.
