  1. My number one Christmas song Has to be Bing Crosby's White Christmas.
  2. On the whole it was a much better performance by the lads tonight. We needed to be near our best and I believe we were. Unfortunately we once again became undone with silly errors. I am encouraged to see that we are still scoring goals in virtually every game we play. Cut out the silly errors defensively and we can still finish in and around the playoffs. January transfer window will probably decide our season.
  3. I thought it would be a score draw tonight. Like you pleased with the performance and it could have easily turned out a much better result tonight.
  4. Agree. We competed very well with them. We know we can score against any team in this league & we did again tonight. Cut down those goals conceded then we can start winning matches again & rise up that table.
  5. It was Band Aid. Do they know it's Xmas Wham got to number 2 that year
  6. Much better performance, punished for silly mistakes at the back again. Stockport are a top side and we gave them problems. Have to take our chances though. Transfer window gets more and more important. We need two defenders, a defensive midfielder and a striker. Sort out the mistakes and we will make the play offs.
  7. I heard Luke has been linked to the Swansea job too over the last few days. It's the usual media speculation. Luke has a project to complete at Notts and I hope he stays with Notts and he continues to make history here.
  8. Strong team for tonight's match
  9. It's been announced that Wham have secured this year's Xmas number one slot, thirty nine years after first being denied it.
  10. One thing is for sure, Maca has been making history of his own, by his record goal scoring that gave us back our league status, and his continued success at this higher level. Long may it continue.
  11. Our defence is going to be key tonight. I'm sure Luke has been working on this flat out in training. I genuinely believe that if the opposition do not score we can win every single game we play. We have arguably the best attacking force in the league. If our defence had played anywhere near to what they could have done, we could have been leading this league by several points by now. I'm hoping for a draw tonight because that would be an excellent result for us. Stockport, apart from their 8:0 win, have been leaking goals of late, so a score draw could be a possibility. If we are still in a playoff position at the end of the year that would still be a success, with the January transfer window approaching.
  12. I truely believe that when we look back at Luke's tenure, & I trust it is going to be a long one, he is going to be ranked alongside Jimmy & Neil for what he has done for this Club. But for me, it is not just about results, it's also about the man himself, and he shares with them both a passion for the club as well has his skills as a manager.
  13. Thanks for the welcome. I've been a supporter for many years, attending my first match in 1967. A lot of River trent water under the bridge since then.
  14. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for the welcome Chris???? ????
  16. I think that Stockport will be very weary of what Maca can do to them. They will be showing our forward line a great deal of respect. We know we can hurt them. We just have to play at our best all over the park tonight, and try to cut out those errors that are gifting our opposition easy pickings of late. With a bit of luck we can get a score draw out of the most important match of the season to date.
  17. Under Luke Williams our style of play has been very successful for us. Teams have come to our place and played very defensively. Playing away we try to play in a similar way. I just wonder if it is time to play a little more defensively on our away travels and try to hit teams on the break. We definitely have the players to do it. Stockport are sure to have a lot of the ball at their place, but I'm sure they will be worried about what we can do on the break. Could this be our plan B?
  18. On our day we know that we are capable of beating anyone in this league. A good performance and result tonight would kickstart our season and would also put a positive spin on things going into the January transfer window.
