Conor Grant Eager to Make an Impact at Notts County After Signing From MK Dons
I wish Conor good luck in his Notts career. Notts have lots of cover in midfield so Conor is going to have to fight for a place. I don't know how him joining Notts will affect Reynolds & Sandersons chances of getting regular first team game time. I hope both of them can still figure in the side

Aaron Nemane to MK Dons, Conor Grant to Notts.
Nemane wouldn't have been in my starting 11 anyway. We now have what I believe are better all round players that can fit in his position.

Notts County Academy Watch.
Notts under 18s home to Harrogate town at Clifton suffered a 3:4 loss. Must have been an entertaining game with Notts taking a 3:1 lead before Harrogate came back with three goals of their own.

Conor Grant. Who is he?
@Wheelbarrow repair man Sadly you may be right. It does seem to put those young gentlemen further down the pecking order. And of course, Conor will take time to acclimatise to Notts style and his new team mates, so I don't expect him to figure much for several weeks.

I hope you are right. He does have lots of competition though.

Conor Grant. Who is he?
@Wheelbarrow repair man I think you may be right. The only caveat to that would be that Notts have signed him with a hope that he may establish himself in the Notts side & become a valuable member of the side with his value going up Trouble is, we have Palmer, Robertson, Crowley, Hinchy, Austin, Edwards, & now Grant, then the youngsters, Reynolds & Sanderson. With Grant arriving to bolster an already crowded midfield squad, where does that leave Reynolds and Sanderson? Will they be now loaned out by Notts? That would be dissapointing.

Conor Grant. Who is he?
Conor Michael Grant is a 23 year old Irishman who was born in Dublin in 2001. He can play either in the centre of midfield or attacking midfield, which will give Notts plenty of options. At youth level, Conor played for Irish clubs Malahide United & Shamrock Rovers before joining the academy of EFL Championship club Sheffield Wednesday in May 2017. He signed professional terms in December & in September 2020, Grant made his professional debut coming late on as a substitute in a 2:0 EFL Cup second round win over Rochdale. In Feb 2021, Conor signed a 2.5 year contract with EFL League One club Rochdale, for an undisclosed fee. He made his debut five days later as a substitute in a 2–0 defeat away to Charlton Athletic. In April 2021, Grant scored his first senior professional goal in a 2–1 home win over Swindon Town. In June 2022, Grant joined EFL League One club Milton Keynes Dons for an undisclosed fee, signing a "long term" contract. He made his debut on the opening day of the season in a 1–0 defeat away to Cambridge United. Grant scored his first goal for the club on 9 August 2022 in a 1:0 EFL Cup first round home win over Sutton United. Conor was named Young Player of the Year at the club's end of season awards ceremony. In Feb 2024, Grant joined League One club Barnsley on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy. And as we know, Conor signed for Notts on a three year contract on the 9th of Feb. (Source Google) Stuart Maynard expressed his delight in signing Conor after Notts had been keen to sign him for a while. Stuart believes Conor will fit into the Notts style of play very well.

Match Preview: Tranmere Rovers and Notts County Gear Up for Exciting Season Start
Looking forward to the match. Interested to see who Stuart will pick to start the game. We now have ten new players that need to gel together. It all depends on how & when they will do that. I am convinced that Notts will be much better in defence this season. We have the makings if an exciting striker partnership with Scott and Jatta. With the Notts midfield providing them with chances I'm hoping for a healthy number of goal too. A good start is essential if Notts are going to challenge for the playoffs. If Notts start well in the first half dozen games, we could witness a good season for Notts.

Match Discussion: Game 1 - Super White Army (A)
I'm wondering if it will be a little while before we see Matt Palmer in the side? The arrival of Conor Grant gives Notts more options in midfield while Matt is getting back to full fitness. Conor is traveling with the team to Tranmere so I wonder if he will feature either in the starting 11 or on the bench?

McGregor Retires From Scotland Duty.
Callum has served his country well on the international scene. Looks like one of the reasons that prompted Callum to retire from international duties were fitness issues according to this report. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c5y83l52de8o It is always sad when a player retires either from domestic or international football. It is sometimes very hard to make that decision. Is it too premature, will the player have regrets? I think it is usually the case that a player knows when it is the right time, & Callum can now concentrate on what remains of his club career. I wish him well.

Want To Buy A Football Club?
Don't they have a similar thing here when the fans buy a little part of their club when it has gone bust? I wonder why no ones petitioning Elon Musk to buy a club over here such as my second club I watch out for, Basford United. With his wealth they could become a Premier League Club in nine years. Or on second thoughts it's not a good idea.

English Football League Two Insights: Final League Standings Predictions by ARLukomski
A fantastic well put together article & a great piece of work that has taken lots of research. It is great that PON members like myself now have the info from this great article to be able to understand how the season may play out. I cannot argue with your conclusions on how the season may end. MK Dons winning the championship is a good call that I wholeheartedly agree with and now the have Aaron Nemane to help them. I agree with you that Notts may just miss out this season. I had them finishing mid table around 10th but finishing 8th would be heartbreaking. I hope Notts make a good start and giv us Notts fans some hope that we may sneak into the playoffs, but I do feel it's a long shot this time. I hope I'm wrong And once again, thanks for this great article. Well done!!

Sorry that Nemane has gone but Notts get Conor Grant in return. I think this is a good move by Notts because as Aaron was so good going forward, he wasn't so good in defence. Apparently, Notts have received a substantial fee for Aaron plus a player in return, a deal that Notts couldn't turn down. Would have liked to have seen another striker coming in. I hope that will happen. Welcome to Notts Conor.- Paris Olympic Games: Brit Watch

Really pleased that Stuart Maynard has shown the confidence in Cedwyn to hand him the number nine shirt His patience & determination to recover from a serious injury is admirable. Good luck to Cedwyn this season. I hope he scores plenty of goals for Notts, now he's out of the shadow of Macca.- Paris Olympic Games: Brit Watch

SILVER MEDAL ALERT Track Cycling, Women's Madison- Stuart Maynard Confident Ahead of Notts County's Season Opener Against Tranmere Rovers
Looking forward to seeing Stuart Maynard's new team in action on Saturday. It is an exciting time with nine new players joining the squad & Scott & Palmer ready to join them. This squad is now Stuart Maynard's squad and I wish him and the team well for the coming season. I hope that Notts have a squad that can challenge for the playoffs at least, but so long as Notts are improving from last season I will be very happy We still have the most exciting attacking players in the division, so if our defence can improve, there is no reason why Notts cannot give themselves a chance of doing well this season. CMON U PIES - Aaron Nemane to MK Dons, Conor Grant to Notts.
