It's Matchday. Bromley v Notts 3 pm kick off. CMON U PIES

I think that we could see a similar game to what we saw in the Swindon game a few weeks ago. Notts have shown that they are prepared to defend at times, & graft a result if necessary. Stuart has plenty of options available to him & we could see a slightly different line up at away matches compared to matches at home. We may just see one striker & an extra midfielder against Bromley to begin with, but Stuart will have options to change it during the game. I still think no matter how Notts line up, they will be too strong for Bromley.

Stuart Maynard is absolutely delighted that Jodi has signed a new contract. It is the icing on the cake for Stuart after a successful summer recruitment of quality players. Stuart is also boosted by the return of Jodi, Alassana & Dan to the squad after injury. It gives Stuart a selection headache, however he will welcome it because it enhances competition for places which is good. Bromley must not be underestimated. They will let Notts dictate play but will try to hit Notts on the break, & capitalise on any Notts mistakes. Stuart will want Notts to continue to work hard in the defensive areas, & smother any Bromley attacks, & be clinical up front when opportunity arises. I think that Notts will be too strong for Bromley if Notts play to their recent form & stay confident.

It is wonderful news that Jodi has signed a new contract, he is clearly settled at Notts & he loves the Club. Him signing has also shown that he is confident that Notts could challenge for silverware this season too. Jodi is such an exciting player to watch, he has so much skill on the ball & opponents fear him. He has started the season so well & he has started as he left off last season. And we also learned that he likes being on the right side as well as the left side. So that gives Stuart more options too, & will keep opponents guessing where he might play on the day.

This is fantastic news today for Notts and their supporters, however it is great news for the team. Jodi has been an inspiration since he became a regular in the side. Who cannot forget his winner against Borham Wood that will be a part of Notts folk law for ever And Jodi keeps breaking records like he did last season with his record assists & this season he has started in the same vein. Jodi's signing, is the icing on the cake after a brilliant summer of transfers into the Club, & it means that the owners are sending a serious message by intending to take this club forward to the next stage.

A chilly day to come for Thursday with sunshine and showers and temperatures below the seasonal average again this afternoon.

Stuart Maynard has to take much credit for the new squad of players that were brought in. Stuart has got the players that he wanted but they still have to be gelled into a good side to challenge for honours. This is what has been happening at Notts during the pre season & now things are looking so promising. The early results demonstrate that Notts has improved defensively. This is down to our new defensive unit & midfield that is supporting it Notts haven't lost their potency in attack either with plenty of chances being created and taken. Stuart finally has his own team at last, and the smile on his face in his post match interviews is heartwarming to see I believe that this team can only improve further as they get more game time together.

A Notts B team lost narrowly 1:0 to Mansfield Town B today in the EFL Central League Cup.

If Notts play to their potential that they have demonstrated over their last three matches Notts should be too strong for Bromley. Bromley have made a good start to their opening season in the football league, & like every side inthis division, should not be underestimated. I agree that changes to the Notts should be minimum. There is nor rush to rush Crowley & Jones back if they are not quite ready. Key areas will be our defence & midfield & I wouldn't see any changes there, unless Crowley is ready. Didzy deserves to continue to lead the line, so I would expect Jatta to be on the subs bench. Stuart can be confident of having a strong bench too, so all in all I'm hoping for a 2:1 win. A clean sheet would be great if we can achieve it.

Another good insight into what an opposition fan is thinking. Bromley have made a good start to life in league 2 & I think that they will pose a very tricky test for Notts. I think that Bromley will try to press us hard and look for opportunities on the break, down the flanks & from plenty of crosses into the box Notts need to be, as always, tight at the back and don't give Bromley any room on the ball. If Notts play to their strengths & maintain the form they have shown over the last three matches, I do believe we can get a win, but a draw would be a reasonable result too.

No one can ever see what a person his really feeling on the inside. People under risk mask their feelings very well because they are too embarrassed to ask for help, or simple don't want to be helped. A young lady who lived down the road from us over forty years ago took her own life, & she never gave any signs to the neighbours that she was a person at risk beforehand.
