Stuart Maynard Eyes Fortress Meadow Lane Ahead of Notts County Home Opener
I'm really looking forward to this match, new state of the heart pitch, 6000 season tickets sold, should mean a big crowd & a rocking Meadow Lane for the opening day. Not forgetting that Notts have nine new signings, although Macca & Aaron have gone. If Notts can replicate the form they showed in the first half against Shrewsbury for the whole match, I'm hoping for a good performance & a win. CMON U PIES.

Your Sunday Morning Weather- Match Preview: Magpies Target Early Season Win Against Fleetwood Town
I think there is a great anticipation for our first League match at Meadow Lane this season. 6000 season ticket sold will mean a 10,000 plus crowd will be rocking Meadow lane, & with a good away support it should be a very good crowd. Notts just need to continue their defensive improvement of late, albeit, they let in 3 goals against Shrewsbury. If Notts can keep it tight at the back, Notts are quite capable of scoring at the other end. I'm expecting a good match and I'm hoping for a win. A 1:0 win would do for me because it would emphasize that Notts are going to be much more competitive this season.- Prediction league 24/25 round 2 - Saturday 17 August
Sorry I missed it this week @DangerousSausage Thinking to much about Notts on Sunday. Won't miss another week hopefully.- Jacob Bedeau. Who is He?
@NiftyNick £900K at 17. That's big money for a 17 year old.- Jacob Bedeau. Who is He?
Jacob Mitchell Bedeau was born on 24/12/1999 at Waltham Forest, England. He chose to play internationally for Grenada, him being of Grenadian descent. Jacob can play in the centre of defence or wing back. Jacob started his football academy career with Leyton Orient, before moving to Bury's footballing academy, where he impressed & made is professional debut for Bury before the age of 17, & he was to make 7 appearances for Bury in total. Jacob began to catch the eye of top flight clubs & it was no surprise when he was snapped up by Aston Villa for £900K on a 2.5 year contract in Jan 2017. Although Jacob didn't play for the first team during his time there, he was an important member of their U 23 squad, helping them to win a Cup & become runners up in their league. In Jan 2019, Jacob joined League One side Scunthorpe U. He made his first team debut in Sept 2019 & altogether made 53 appearances for Scunthorpe before being released at the end of the 20/21 season. After his release from Scunthorpe, Jacob then moved on to join Burnley on a two year deal & was put into the U 23 squad. In Jan 2022 Jacob joined League one side Morecambe on loan, he made his loan period permanent in Aug 2022 for an undisclosed amount. In all, Jacob made 90 appearances in League one & League 2 for Morecambe & scored two goals. As we know, Jacob joined Notts on the 14th June 2024 on a three year deal and he's been very impressive in his pre-season games & his one league game so far. Richard Montague was very pleased to get Jacob's signature, he believes Jacob will bring youth, experience & quality to the back line. "He is quick, powerful & brilliant in the air & is outstanding as a one v one defender". ( Source, google)- Conor Grant Excited for Meadow Lane Debut: 'The Pitch Looks Beautiful'
I believe Conor is going to be an important player for Notts this season. He has already demonstrated that he has an eye for goal. Grant has a lot of league experience for a young player and this is going to be a big plus for him and the Notts team in the games ahead. I don't think that Conor has come to Notts to sit on the bench. He will want to be in the first team, and that can only help Notts too, with plenty of competition for places. Notts have such an exciting array of players in their midfield, with players of equal skill in the squad ready to come on when needed. The first impressions of Conor are good, & Notts are only going to be the better for it.- Macaulay Langstaff Watch.
No Langstaff in Millwall's squad today to face Bristol City.- Notts County Academy Watch.
The match ends with a 2:1 win for Notts U18s- Weekly chat 12th - 18th August
It was a nice morning early on with plenty of sun clouded over now. Was going to sit out but temperature has dropped somewhat. Seen some bees and butterflies out today, but we haven't seen so many this summer nor have we seen many wasps either. We take all these insects for granted & they do so much good work to germinate plants & fruit trees. Without them we'd be in a lot of trouble food production wise.Wonder if it has anything to do with my poor apple crop this year?- The Nest/Fan Zone: Update.
