I think this decision had some inevitability about it coming just over a week since the match finished. The Salford owners are very ambitious & the look on their faces after the match wasn't hard to read. Somehow, I don't think that Karl Robinson will be out of a job for long. He's a good Head Coach & there will be clubs standing in line wanting his services.

Another thing I noticed @Chris is that the site looks sharper and clearer. It may be only how I see it but it does appear better to the eye. In addition, when deleting text it is faster than before 👍

I think the site seems faster on my mobile, the pages are loading faster & so is the text. I just posted a new Topic. I noticed the link to the Notts website didn't embed. It's not a big issue, because visitors can click the link no problem & read the message OK on the Notts website.

I thought this part of Joe Palmer's message was very significant. It has proved to be a successful strategy so far. I think it will be tested to the full in League One. It will be fascinating to see how it pans out.

VAR in the EFL. It would be too expensive for the lower league clubs to implement it. VAR also needs multi cameras from different angles so that would cause issues for spectators & would could also reduce the capacity of ML When VAR was implemented I was very hopeful that it would cut out mistakes and make the game better, but it has made things worse. The spontinaity has gone. Fans cannot celebrate a goal like they used to. You have to wait up to five minutes for a decision. VAR appears to favour the big clubs to the detriment of everyone else. Like I said previously, VAR for goal line decisions only. Scrap VAR for everything else.

Another player leaving with a good impression of the club, & a new supporter. I'm sure he will give us a visit from time to time too. He was a major part of the team that got Notts promoted. That will never be forgotten.

South Shields failed to get promoted from the National League North despite leading the table for large parts of the season & finishing 2nd on 95 points, 8 points ahead of 3rd placed Kidderminster, who they lost at home to in the playoff final. Looks like South Shields are potentially going to get plenty of investment to rise up the league system. ?What a day this is turning out to be. We were expecting Cal but to have two quality signings in a matter of a couple of hours is showing Notts's intent. We are going to get a better rounded version of Cal on his return. Has well as being a great winger, he is now an accomplished attacking midfielder. Could he emulate Ruben & Dan? It's a big ask, but Cal can score loads of goals too. It's going to be exciting times at the Lane once the new season gets underway.

Excellent signing. A very physical player. A Martin Paterson type player. He has a long throw too. He's played in a back four for Cambridge. Wonder if Notts will go to predominantly a back four in L1?

VAR should be scrapped & only goal line technology should be used with it. VAR is killing the game. It's killing the spontaneity of Football.
