  1. Latest forecast for Weds 24th Jan. Another windy start to Wednesday.
  2. Rain clearing eastward this evening. Staying very windy though.
  3. A few years ago they were just weather fronts, now they are named storms. They are not any more intense than when they were just weather fronts. It just seems that way when they are named. I suppose naming them gets people's attention, that's possibly what they want.
  4. Storm Jocelyn has arrived
  5. Neil Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk are into the mixed doubles semi-final in Melbourne.
  6. Latest Weather forecast.
  7. I agree @True Magpie I would like Notts to be more cautious and less adventurous up front. Notts are an entertaining team, but I do dislike the tendancy to involve in ping pong football with the opposition. We've seen a lot of that during the last dozen games or so when Notts have found themselves behind to defensive errors and are then forced to throw caution to the wind. I hope Stuart can change that.
  8. I believe Jaden Warner is going to be a really good signing for Notts, his hight being 6ft 4ins, his pace and skill on the ground is just what Notts need at the back. He's very comfortable going forward and has played on the left or right of defence for Norwich. Jaden has three days or so to train with his new team mates before the Barrow match on Saturday. I would like him to go straight into the side on Saturday but he'll probably be on the bench for that game. Incidentally, Jaden has been used to playing in a back 4 at Norwich rather than a back 3. I still believe Stuart will make some subtle changes to the way we shape up for Barrow, to plug those gaps on transition when we lose possession high up the pitch. Can't wait till Saturday.
  9. Latest weather forecast for Tuesday from the MET office.
  10. Latest weather from the MET Office.
  11. Good day for Junior Brits. Brits through to the 3rd round of the Junior Australian Open. Hannah Klugman secured a 6-1, 6-2 win over Alana Subasic. Mimi Xu fought back to beat Vittoria Paganetti 6-7, 6-4, 6-2. Mika Stojsavljevic defeated Teodora Kostovic 6-1, 6-2.
  12. I agree @allardyces tash Stuart's personality is different to Luke's. I think Stuart's approach may be what the team needs, but we'll have to wait and see.
  13. I agree with your sentiments @Chris as I've already said, I think the extra time with the players before Barrow can only be a positive.
  14. Brace yourselves, another named Storm, Storm Jocelyn, is heading our way. We've had our fair share of named storms this winter.????
  15. Cam Norrie just fails to make the Australian Open Quarter finals. Check out all the British winners at the Australian Open Monday.
  16. Saw this report in the Guardian. Looks like severe weather in the states. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/20/us-winter-weather-snow-storms-east-coast-northwest-south
  17. Joe Salisbury & Heather Watson Storm into the quarter finals of the mixed doubles.
  18. Alexander Zverev v Cam Norrie. CMON CAM.
  19. @AmericanPie I think Stuart will get Notts playing much better as a team all over the pitch, like midfield players tracking back and other players covering holes created when defenders maraud forward.
  20. @AmericanPie agree, he looks to have a really good future in the game.
  21. We are getting hurricane force winds in the UK now but they won't call it a hurricane here. We've even had tornado alerts too.????
  22. Good news, Storm Isha is moving away, but blustery showers to begin with, these heaviest in the North and West.
  23. @AmericanPie @liampie the tactical analysis was quite revealing on how Stuart lined up Wealdsone. I also think it's interesting that Wealdstone have conceded 36 goals against in comparison to Chesterfield's 34 against and Chesterfield are running away with the national league. So Stuart does can organise the defense of a team.
  24. Plenty of blustery showers for tomorrow, wind easing a little in the South.
