  2. Line up for Panthers against Glasgow this evening.
  3. It hasn't been mentioned but I think it could be a factor too in Notts's recent misfortunes. I think Notts may be missing the influence of our former managing director Jason Turner. He exuded such positivity around the club.
  4. Totally agree. @Joshua. Even on the highlights posted by Notts, they featured two brilliant Notts moves that deserved a goal on both occasions. 2:0 to Notts could easily have been the result on Saturday.
  5. Your Sunday Afternoon Weather
  6. For the away match against Crawley I would go back to the shape that Stuart employed successfully away to Newport. If Warner is fit, I would bring him back into a flat back 4 with Cameron, Baldwin and Macari, with a four man midfield. I would bring in Jatta up front supported by Macaulay with Jones having a free role again on either wing. The key area is how Notts's defense deal with Crawley. In large parts they dealt with Wimbledon but just succumbed to the same frailties, not dealing with long throws and corners. As far as our attack is concerned, Notts are still creating chances, that in another time, they were putting away on a regular basis, so they just need to keep plugging away, and the goals will come This is a game that Notts, at their best, are well capable of getting a result from. I would be happy with a draw but a win would just about see us safe in League 2 for another season. Then Notts can rebuild with players that can boss other teams, rather than the other way around, as it is at the moment.
  7. I support Stuart. I want him to be given time to turn things around. We have 3 away games on the bounce now. If we lose all 3, questions may start to be asked. The last 11 games are now all about ensuring we comfortably survive in League 2, then the rebuild will happen and the club can acquire players that will COMPETE at this level.
  8. Weather for Sunday Morning
  9. @Wheelbarrow repair man we have to accept that the Reedtz brothers feel that Stuart is the man to take Notts forward and we have to respect that. I agree with you that we have to have every faith in the Brothers to deliver the right answers to the Magpies problems. And I'm absolutely convinced they will. As far as the match was concerned, Stuart got the tactics right and if defensive errors hadn't let him down again, most would have been satisfied with a 0:0
  10. @Wheelbarrow repair man I get what you say but bringing in Warnock would be a backward step. The damage was done under Luke's watch when he never solved the defensive problems & everyone could see it, then he skidaddled and left the next appointee a massive job to fix things. Stuart has been left with this squad and Notts just have to get through the next 11 games, the best they can. I for one believe in Stuart and he should be given time to build a team to challenge next season.
  11. Six Nations Rugby Championship. Some great news this evening. What a great win for England Rugby over Ireland, by a last minute drop goal.
  12. Dissapointing result again today, we didn't get much luck up front and unfortunately we conceded due to our defensive frailties once again. Notts just need to keep fighting for our 11 remaining games and finish as high up the league as they can. But at the moment it is hard to see where the next point is coming from. Every game needs to be treated as a cup final. What is certain is a rebuild is needed in the close season, because we need a goalkeeper and defence that can boss their area. We have seen that Notts are being bossed around by most teams we've met in this league, and we just need to be better at doing it than them Criticism of Stuart Maynard is very unfair because he has inherited a big problem left by the previous coach, and unfortunately, he cannot bring in the players he needs until the season end. The Notts players need all our support more than ever, to help get them to the season's end and finish the season on an up. Criticism is not going to help at all.
  13. If I were Stuart, I would just go back to plan A which was total football, like we had under Luke
  14. Team to face Wimbledon. Slocombe, Chicken and Macari in Ashby-Hammond, Warner and Austin out.
