  1. Didzy and Macca scored to get us level at the break. How did we go in level? Could we finish up scoring 100 and conceding a 100 in a season?
  2. Terrible start Those defensive errors keep coming, we've conceded another penalty & woeful defending at a corner conceding a 2nd. Notts 2:0 down after 15 minutes. We have to change the way we are playing at away matches. At the moment we are just not good enough..
  3. The team for today's game is in. Scott Robertson makes his debut.
  4. Great week for Jack Draper as he ends as runner up in Adelaide.
  5. Joe and Rajeev have won the Adelaide Doubles Title, their 15th title together. Well done guys.

  10. For those who would like to know more about the Nottingham Panthers and their history I will post an article about them that can be found on Wiki. The Nottingham Panthers were formed at the end of WW2 in 1946 Their first franchise was between 1946 & 1960, they then went out of business for 20 years, however a new franchise began in 1980 to the present day. The Panthers have been one of the best if not the best, supported Ice Hockey clubs in history. The Panthers are also one of the most successful clubs with plenty of silverware, they have won 4 league titles, & are the only British team to win the European, Continental Cup. The link to their Wiki is here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_Panthers
  11. If anyone would like to know more about Nottingham RFC there is an article on Wiki with plenty of information. The Club was founded in 1877 and the Clubs heyday was in the late 1980s when they boasted several international players in their ranks, most notably Gary Rees, Dusty Hate, Rob Andrew & Brian Moore, who as well as playing for England, became a British lion. Nottingham used to get televised regularly on "Rugby Special at that time, being a top club. The advent of professionalism affected Nottingham for a few years, but they have bounced back since then & have become a solid 2nd tier club. I post the wiki link here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_R.F.C.#:~:text=7 External links-,History,of the club until 2006.
  12. Another title for Alfie Hewett.
  13. Nottingham RFC recently had their ground flooded and damaged during the recent adverse weather. The club have had to postpone their home matches at 'the bay' due to the flooding.
  14. Nottingham RFC play in the Championship, English Rugby's 2nd tier. . This is the up to date Championship table.
  15. The same result will do just fine
  16. Elite League table 11/01/23 Nottingham Panthers playing catch up. https://www.eliteleague.co.uk/standings/2023/38-elite-ice-hockey-league
  17. A great start to the year just as he ended 2023, Draper will face Czech Jiri Lehecka in his second successive ATP final, having ended 2023 as runner-up to Adrian Mannarino at the Sofia Open. Joe Salisbury & his partner Rajeev Ram reach the Adelaide Doubles final with a fine win.
  18. Northampton 1 Notts County 1, March 1971 In black and white. Just footage of the Notts goal, but what a goal. A typical headed goal from a Notts County great Tony Hateley, with an assist by Brian Stubbs. Tony was one of the best headers of a ball in Footballing history. He came back to Notts to help Notts get promoted, and he did just that.
  19. Macaulay's move to a higher level this season hasn't prevented him from doing what he does best, scoring goals. Fantastic stats for a League 2 Newcomer.
  20. PS. @ChrisI posted an article on Nottingham Panthers in the Granny Pies Gen Discussion Forum. Wonder if that post should go into the other Sports now?
  21. Thanks @Chris it's looking good.
