  1. This squad has better balance , a few more of better quality and I feel sure will bring more out of the players from last season , last season needs putting to bed and that's best done by effort followed by results and a real unity and spirit to succeed, I'm optimistic for sure .
  2. Stan can for sure star for us this season with less of a defensive side to his game he can unlock a defence with his passing ability , and taking a risk and coming out second best up the pitch wouldn't be as costly , can't wait to get cracking. COYP
  3. Not sure myself but if JS chose 3-5-2 I would love to see it work think it's versatile both ways attacking and defending , he knows better than I do but I fancy that .
  4. Think continuity is something we will need to establish asap , looking at the players available for next season and hopefully another CB I feel the experience and quality needed to do that may well be in place , so many last season either not up to the job or inexperienced or out of position or out of form , so yes a must .
  5. Stead has the experience and with better players around him this time I think he can have positive influence on things , its all about confidence and momentum, with a well structured team I'm hopeful he can bring a similar goals total as last time , hopefully the gaffa can get more out of Izale to, if and it's a big if I know he can get firing he is potentially a 15-20 goals player . The manager has work on those fronts but I feel he can get the results needed from them , COYP
  6. Makes sense to keep tabs on him and see how he gets on , can't really judge him on one friendly and a few videos.
  7. Yes for sure I'll be at the game to support mike for his service to the club , to support the pies against our arch rivals , a great appetiser for the season ahead , I'm looking forward to it , COYP hope it does create a buzz on both sides of the Trent
  8. Yes looking forward to going to the florist and Blackburn home games , don't think it will be that friendly against our neighbours so maybe a good workout to sharpen the team up a little more than a normal lower key game , COYP
  9. Yep agree totally when possible, continuity so partnerships have a time to bed in and flourish, never happened last season so hopefully something we can do better this time around, if injuries are kind and good form is established let's hope its all adds up to a better season COYP
  10. Enjoyed that read of the above , exactly my sentiments, well written notts-joe , roll on the new season I am actually looking forward to it with a measure of excitement, COYP
  11. Yes Thanks for your upbeat confident words on the pies , music to my ears pal
  12. I'd take him again that's a good goals ratio from before , so yeah would be a good addition I think .
  13. He is a good player and I would welcome him , so long as it's not because we are a shorter commute if he was to sign .
  14. Agree with above good luck Liam , great talent but at times a liability, time to look forward not back , so for me correct decision.
  15. Think those players left can think themselves very privileged to be given any chance at all to put last season To bed and to try to improve on it .
  16. Never any guarantees in football , but my money would be on JS to succeed where recent other managers have failed purely on his track record, its good enough to be more confident in him .
  17. Think it's a strong management team personally no nonsense, feel optimistic for next season coyp
  18. I would welcome Martin Allen back definitely what we need to steady things down and make sure next season can still be looked forward to .
  19. If it was between those 2 which I don't think it is , I would want Martin Allen without a second thought , wishful thinking I think though .
  20. Sorry this maybe won't go down well with many , but I for one do NOT want to hear any feeble excuses from any of the players for that totally diabolical season, difficult circumstances agreed , but come on the players were the cause of much of what went on , I hate to hear players talking a good game , when you have the chance to play a good game as a united team get out on that pitch and do it , sorry don't want to hear from any of that shower .
  21. Don't want Yates, Cowley a risk for me considering the state we are in , Cotterill would sort us out but really can't it happening , if the owners must appoint then they must go for experience, a firm character who takes no prisoners , we are crying out for a leader someone who can galvanise the whole club and get all pulling in the same direction.
  22. It's a complete shambles , so before the game , a statement will be released after the game , after the game MC going will start at FGR Monday, so before the game in theory he was gone , no wonder such a spineless performance by a group of leaderless misfits .
  23. Good luck with the photos at the J&J statue , will be in hearing distance of the events this afternoon , think it will be lively to say the least , but enjoy if you can B)

  24. Give them a hot curry wurst , should put fire in the belly
  25. Hope the young guns get the chance today , nothing to worry about send them out to have a real go , here goes notts to win it 3-2 , someone wake me up I must be dreaming COYP
