I don’t remember him setting the world on fire when he was with us but if he’s improved and has gained more experience then why not, if the recruitment team/data deems him a good fit for us.

It’s great that the owners are recognising the shortcomings of the pitch as it was and are taking steps not only to rectify it but also to future proof it so we have an excellent playing surface for years to come.

I must say if the series is a true reflection of his early life, he must have gone through hell as a schoolboy people are much more accepting now of gays, lesbians etc but back in the 1980s unfortunately people were less so. I’m not keen on him as a stand up comedian his voice grates but I have a new respect for him knowing what he’s gone through.

That’s good news I hope he makes a full recovery, I remember him most as a pundit on match of the day where he talked a lot of sense.

I feel sorry for Scotland but they just didn’t play well enough to win. It certainly livened up in the last 20 minutes. I hope the injured Hungary player is ok and makes a full recovery.

I know we (England) have nothing to shout about but Scotland are dire in this game, only on shot on 53 mins so far.

I don’t like Alan Carr but I enjoyed watching this but it’s all down to taste, some funny stuff about his Dad as Northampton manager.

Has anyone seen Changing Ends? It’s a semi biography about Alan Carr’s (the camp comedian) early life. His Dad Graham Carr was a manager of Northampton Town in the then 4th division. I don’t normally like Alan Carr but this series is very funny and interesting. Its about his struggles at school being obviously effeminate at an early age, his dad wanted him to be a footballer which was never going to happen. The young lad who plays Carr as a boy is brilliant in it.

I’m not really into horse racing but anything that promotes Notts County is fine by me, good for her wearing Notts stuff.

You certainly get around @Piethagoram. Lovely pictures, Trentham Gardens is a place I think I ought to visit. Today I’ve been gardening clearing out weeds, cutting back shrubs etc because it’s brown bin day tomorrow. The trouble is I’ll suffer for it tomorrow with aching joints etc. We've got a couple of chicken legs I’m going to bbq later, Mrs. T is prepping a salad to go with it and I’ll have a nice cool drink while I’m cooking. Who else would s enjoying the sunshine?
